Jim I have one and I noticed the difference, it is only marginal. The inlet of the airbox is the same size but the actual 'mouth' of the inlet of the feed is double the size so in theory it lets more air in. That is my understanding of how the 160 intakes work. Steve

I have seen that there was an Ocatvia 4x4, but has anyone ever thought or trying to turn their fabia into 4 wheel drive. I have seen corrados and mk1 golfs converted and wonder if the golf parts from a 4 motion could be fitted to the fabia.

The forge seems like the pick of the bunch but people have been talking about heat soak, is there a smic that can fit and have the same kind of power gains. I am going to cut a side vent into the bumper to allow more air flow.

Guys I got in touch with skoda directly and they quoted me 3500 euros for the full and official skoda wrc kit. The only problem I have found is what westy said about filling the arches, I heard the dragon kit that has been about just used spacers but they were something stupid like 50mm. The superskoda site in the links has a wrc kit. Just wish someone would offer sponsorship as would love to run a relica wrc Steve

Thanks for the replies, I have not looked at the laguna one but will research it. I have to admit I have limited mechanical knowledge so its all a bit hit and miss and open to suggestions from you guys.

I would like to try and make it, if people can decide on dates I will try and get there.

Which intercooler is best to go for, should I go for a jabba one, a forge motorsport one or an allard one. I am not sure which would be best, they are all roughly the same price but I am wondering which one is best.

I used to have a V5 Golf and all the windows were electric. Did any fabia come with electric windows all round, as I dont have a sunroof and would like to open the rear windows some times for some more air. Any help or ideas would be great

Thanks for the replies, I will take it out and see what happens. I will also get my mate to drive it. In response to flooring it in a high gear, I guess I have just got lazy and been spoiled with the way thecar pulls from low down. I guess the torque delivery at 2000rpm is because it is a generic remap and not a specific car setup.

I have a problem, I think my clutch is giving out after my revo remap. I floor the car from low revs in a high gear and the engine revs rise but there is no pick up in speed. The revs then settle and the car picks up speed. My friend said I should have a new clutch fitted but he also suggested a new fly wheel. Can anyone give me an idea on trhe best set up to go for. The car is standard apart from the revo remap and should be staying like that for quite a while bar a lottery win.

IS it possible to fit a golf PD150 intercooler to my fabia. I have seen one going cheap on fleabay and am not sure whether to go for it or not. Any ideas would be good, thanks Steve

I have a Bosch HID setup in my Fabia, I must say the light output is fantastic but they do seem to throw a lot of light away from the road. This is on standard lights so I need to find some that will stop the light going up and outwards away from the road. Anyone got ideas on these lenses, sorry to hijack the thread. But get them as they make such a difference

Hi I have just got a bargain set of alloys of ebay, however they are silver and I fancy getting them done in white. I have two questions, what is best powdercoating or resprayed. I am not sure if they are the same thing, and how much. Can anyone recommend somewhere around the home counties, london or down near winchester to have this done. Thanks Steve

What parts from the rest of the group can I use on my Fabia VRS, I thought I had heard I can use the front strut brace. I just wondered if there where any other parts they will fit. Thanks for any help.

HI, I have just got rid of my V5 golf and got myself a fabia VRs. I love the power at the moment but the bug has bit. I have see the white Skoda Wrc car from a few years ago and would like to do something similar. Can someone let me know where I can get some Wrc bits or even replica bits. Also I want to lower it but am unsure on what parts to get, springs, shocks, arb's, strut braces. Any advice anyone can give me would be great.
