  1. I didn't know the Montes had a different spoiler either. You could get this one which is from the pre face-lift "sport" models.
  2. Looks good, nice to see your project coming along. In my opinion the back of a fabia is easily the worse part, so bland with no exhaust or diffuser of any kind. I currently have a VRS one sat in my bedroom waiting to be fitted.
  3. Maxton design do front splitters, side skirts and lip spoiler. Never bought any of their stuff so cant say what the quality is but they look decent enough.
  4. What was the process of wiring it in? Was is difficult? I bought a MAXIDOT cluster with the intention of fitting it to my car but sold it on as I was told you needed a lot of VCDS coding to disable the immobiliser etc. Thanks.
  5. Great thread so far. Cheap mod ideas: Remove the dealer sticker from the back window New style Skoda badges on the front and rear Wind deflectors Chrome indicator bulbs (gets rid of the orange tinge in the lights). Maybe try painting or removing (if possible) the black side moulding on the doors. Just a few inexpensive "mods" I'd do to start off with. Look forward to updates on the project.
  6. Or just do what 32KOFDATA did and fit a fog light to the bottom middle of the rear bumper. Easier and looks better imo. Obviously you'd need the rear diffuser to complete the look.
  7. I've seen it done on a Russian website, they used some after market LED bulbs that were bright white and bright red. Not sure the exact wiring situation but seen the pictures of it. https://www.drive2.ru/l/532504477521937262/
  8. Do you plan on parting it out or just selling it whole?
  9. Ok I wont bother changing it then. Thank you both for the advice, much appreciated.
  10. Hello, earlier on in the year I had my Fabia MOT'd and serviced at 55,000 miles with no issues, however afterwards on the receipt the mechanic left a note saying it needs its "Timing belt and water pump service at 64,000 miles." I am already at the 60k mile mark and just wanted to know what exactly he meant by "timing belt" since the 1.2TSI uses a chain. Does the chain need to be replaced or is it just a mistake on the mechanics part and it just needs a water pump changed? Thanks
  11. I cant help you with the speakers but yeah you can get fog lights fitted in the front. Make sure you get the correct ones for your car as yours is the Pre-Facelift Fabia. I have attached an image with the correct style fog lights for car. Also have a look at 32KOFDATA's build log. He has a Pre-Facelift Fabia that he has modified quite heavily.
  12. 2010 onwards is facelift. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Škoda_Fabia#Second_generation_(Typ_5J;_2007–2014)
  13. So could I just buy that loom, a headlight switch and a set of fog lights and its basically plug and play? Or am I misunderstanding? Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
  14. I found this loom on eBay to retrofit the fogs, I guess you'd need to wire the end into the headlight switch using a proper connector. Right?
  15. I have always wondered if it was as simple as this. I am not an electrician by any means but it seemed like an easy enough job, like you said just wire the fronts into the same wire as the rears. I couldn't understand why everyone was having a hard time retrofitting front fogs. Maybe It is more complicated idk.
  16. Post in the Fabia MK1 section https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/26-skoda-fabia-mk-i/
  17. How is having interior lights that are actually bright enough to see what's in my centre console, or number plate lights bright enough to illuminate my number plate "ruining other drivers night vision" or attracting the police? You know it's not illegal to have LED number plates right?
  18. Extremely easy, all you need is a thin flathead screw driver. Pry at the plastic cover and it should pop off. Personally not done a numberplate one yet, I think all you need is a screwdriver and error free 239 LEDs. Autobeam sell good quality LEDs in pretty much every size.
  19. These work great. LED interior lights are an absolute must for any owner. I was very surprised with how much of a difference some bulbs made.
  20. So for the headliner swap I used Skoda workshop manuals as a guide to help me. I printed each of these off so I could look at them whilst in the car. Headliner A Pillar B Pillar D Pillar Sun Visors Grab Handles Interior Light and Sunglasses Holder You can buy full headliner kits on eBay, roughly £150-180. The instructions in the manuals are decent, sometimes the wording is a bit off. As for tools its very basic, I don't even own any powertools or anything and I got on just fine. Just a set of trim removal tools, screw drivers and a T50 for the seatbelt bolt on the B pillar. If you need a more detailed step by step process feel free to message me.
  21. Looks great! What was the process of blacking out the headlights? Was it difficult? Thanks.
  22. I have personally done a headliner swap on my own and didn't break the headliner. I'm happy to help guide you through the process of removing the headliner if you need. Thanks for the info on the speakers.
