  5. I noticed mine was rattling and I was worried it was the timing chain but eventually realised it was just the fuel lines, bit of foam and its not a issue now.
  6. It might be the fuel lines rattling against the chassis, Here
  7. Loved you're MK2 mate, shame you got rid. Hopefully you find the new owner.
  8. Loving your car mate, did you ever get the Monte Carlo headlights to work properly? You couldn't flash your high beams right?
  9. Mine is exactly the same, has the white anti corrosion stuff on the battery and the scuff mark on the wiper. Looking at used wiper arms on eBay they all seem to have the same marking so must be a common issue.
  10. The Chinese ones are shorter and look worse so might aswell source quality genuine Skoda ones.
  11. Two example definitions: "OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer; adding the “+” is taking what came from the factory and making it look and perform that much better based on your vision." "OEM+ stand for "Original Equipment Manufacturer +. This term originally comes from the automotive world to describe the customization of a car in a subtle way, (mainly) using parts and accessories from the same manufacturer or the same group (Using Audi parts on a Volkswagen for example) . More generally it means customize a car very discreetly, with a close look to the original, playing on the details. In contrast of tuning and its extravagance."
  12. Yeah but I've seen you post your cars on other threads over past few months.
  13. Its funny seeing you on here and on 4chan. Small world.
  14. Yeah that sucks, would probably look weird if I left it unpainted with the rest being black, good thing It was just a pipe dream anyway.
  15. Here is a master illustration of how the headlight seems to work.
  16. That was my understanding but recently I was changing the sidelight bulb and noticed it shares the reflector area with another bulb which must be the full beam.
  17. Just my luck then, have you gotten your retrofitted lights to work with flash yet? Thanks
  18. I've wanted to retrofit monte lights to mine but it seemed like too much of a hassle. Would've thought it would just be easier to split your normal headlights open and spray them black.
  19. I bought this when I first got my Fabia and it has held up well. Edit: My bad just noticed your car is a 2009 so it will be pre-facelift which that grille wont fit. I think you will have to get it painted yourself unfortunately.
  20. Retrofitting a different Skoda steering wheel is easy, done it myself. I have a flat bottom steering wheel from a MK3 Fabia in my MK2. All it takes is a screw driver to unclip the airbag and a spline socket. Here is the tutorial I used It becomes slightly more complicated if you want to have Multi Function buttons on the wheel as it will need to be coded to work with your vehicle, shouldn't be that hard if you can get someone who knows what they are doing. Check out VCDS map to find forum members near you who can code it.
  21. Retrofitting climate control is not a good idea financially or logically, you need to take most of the front end apart. Fabias aren't really that expensive so you might as well just buy one with the spec you want.
  22. If you go for the petrol make sure its a 2012 or newer. The 1.2tsi from before late 2011 have a known timing chain issue. If I could go back in time I would go for the diesel.
  23. Jesus that looks sketchy as ****. Nice work though.
