New camera along with a macro lens turned up this afternoon. Took me a while to sort the settings out enough to have a go at a shot. First efforts below.

Great composition, nicely balanced shot. Liking the reflections and processing. Nice one

An update. Albeit a late one!! Got fed up messing about with the kit, never really got the car running properly on the last engine rebuild. Decided there were better ways to have fun so had a clear out and sold the lot. Decided to take photography a bit more seriously, after all it should be cheaper than a project car right? Over the past three or four years have upgraded the camera gear for not an inconsiderate amount! Decided I needed another project that would make me money so invested in some real estate and after a slow start due to the planning red tape, my son and I are currently converting and extending a Scottish lodge and have a new build in the pipeline. Image of the lodge below and CGI of the proposed new build.

I had the same issue and wasted money trying a few wireless options. In the end hard wiring was the best option. I ran a cable and used a Netgear WAP. I used a WAX620 though there are cheaper options such as the WAX 214 for about £90. You may need a PoE switch as they take their power from the Ethernet cable You also use the switch for printers etc. I used a Netgear PoE switch. A GS305P for around £55 would do the trick. In practice you’ll have a different password to the house router.to access it but it’s no hassle. I’m on a fibre network and there is very little if any drop off with the speed using this setup.

Been busy dealing with planning to get a project off the ground. Just completed the plans for ‘phase 2’ a new build on a brown field site. A before and after below. My original shot, though credit to the architect for the CGI work.

Not sure KBPhoto is still around as the thread is pretty old. I got mine from the dealers so I knew it would be correct rather than a pattern loom.

Been messing about with some intentional camera movement recently, to try get get a more abstract arty look with more movement in the shots. Very hit and miss and subjective as to what’s good and not so good. Got this one today, which imo is the best of the bunch snapped.

Went to a bird of prey centre this morning for a photo session. I was the only participant so had a one to one with the pro togger. We ended up righting the wrongs of the world particularly broken Britain.. we decided it’s our fault because we feed the seagulls! Lol A few snaps below.

I use the eufy camera systems for site security. No subscription, 2K, night vision good. Floodlight option if needed. Long battery life on the cameras. I use three 2 pro cameras (battery) and two floodlight cam pro (mains) setups.
