A couple of shots from the off road day. Instructor took the shot with me hanging. A couple of others messing about with 1000mm

About as off road as I’ll be going for now. Off to an off road experience with Land Rover next week in the Scottish Highlands. Using their car thankfully, opted for a Defender, though was tempted by a full fat Range Rover. Will try and get some shots of mounting kerbs driving through potholes and swerving traffic cones..🤣

Over on Arran. Hanging around the shore and snapping whatever. Using my 100/500 with a 1.4 tele converter. A little short still.

A PITA but so easy done. The tyres don’t protect them much either. There’s a cast iron grate outside our old house built into the kerb, if you catch it you get a cut side wall and knackered wheel. Don’t ask how I know🤣 Downgrading to white steel wheels on the van for winter and to avoid damaging the silly money 22” alloys. Good thing is Steels are two a penny because no one wants them. £300 for five brand new wheels and tyres from the bay, bargain!

Picked up the “new to me” van Wednesday. The novelty quickly wore off at a couple of width/weight restricted bridges. Will try and do some arty shots on the building site, tip, builders merchants etc. Though unless it’s moving fast with a number stuck on it, it’s not really my thing.😂

A couple from yesterday’s testing at Brands Hatch. Not much of interest on track. A mate was testing but didn’t even make it off the trailer with a water leak. In other news a sad day, the Yeti is going. It’s done me well other than the persistent water leaks into the cabin. Picking up a defender next week then gonna de-bling it with some white wheels and a Massey Ferguson rusty red wrap.🤣

A compact camera might be the way to go. Check out the Panasonic lumix range or canon powershot range. Should be able to find something to suit most budgets. My personal favourite is a fujifilmX100VI.

Going through some old shots from Knockhill, found this one which I quite like. Not sure how I missed it first time around.

Popped over to the east coast, a quick shot of Lower Burnmouth and some onion rings from Eyemouth like nothing I’ve seen before!

Not strictly photo’s, some album covers I had framed for the new hallway. Going on a plaster coloured wall with black and white chequer floor, so chosen more for the colours the colours than anything else. A remastered camera phone shot of Edinburgh Castle, used a bit of AI to tidy up the pavement area.

Now found a home for them, Will post an image when they’re framed.

Didn’t go too far Graham, been in the Scottish Borders the last couple of years, converting a property. Didn’t fancy risking the post in case they were damaged. Needed the break from the work anyhow. Though after the train and fighting my way along Princess Street I need another day off!

Ventured up to Edinburgh by train to pick up some vinyl. Just after the covers for framing and hanging. Anyone want some sleeveless records??🤣🤣 grabbed a couple of shots with the camera phone.

A favourite spot of ours. The only official desert in the uk. Enjoy popping along there for a bit of photography with the hoards. Then getting fished out on lobster rolls at the shack, fish and chips at the Pilot, and a splurge at the fishmongers opposite. Has to be done though takes me a while to get over it tbh 😀

Knockhill Rally event. Starting to get used to the camera, A firmware update seems to have made the focusing less unpredictable Found a panning assist mode too which works best in shutter priority mode. The weakest link was me with remnants of man flu and a sleepless night and it was bloody cold!

A few from today. Stayed at a local stately pile over xmas. Back to the lodge tomorrow morning. Also a snap of an old sign which caught my eye a little while ago.
