  1. Is that Berwick way Mick? Just got the keys to a bit of a project in Kelso, which is on the Tweed.
  2. A couple from today. Great looking BMW and a Lotus Elise about to arrive at the scene of its own accident.
  3. A few taken at Brands Hatch yesterday before the camera finally gave up.. lesson learnt.. wait a while before buying new tech cameras. Kam in the yellow Civic getting a bit lairy and Jay in the white Civic cocking a wheel. Last one is the great looking Jota McLaren GT3 car which crashed heavily today whilst leading. Thankfully the driver was unhurt.
  4. Escort and a Praga from this morning at Brands Hatch.
  5. A few from today’s testing at Brands Hatch.
  6. Remastered this shot taken a couple of weeks ago. Quite like the look of the car without any sponsors or stripes.
  7. Got a shot on the front cover of a mag! Not quite Rankin yet, though I’m chuffed
  8. Ooni’s a game changer. Capputo for me 00 for pizza semola for rolling our and pasta making. It’ll be coming as part of my toolkit to my refurb and self build, with nowhere to sleep or shower, at least I can eat a good pIzza! So.. have chickens, make pizza and save the economy! Sorry pasters and ‘debaters just trying to lift the mood.. see what I did there?..
  9. Reminds me of when I was completing my masters, the lecturer opened a discussion/debate in the lecture theatre, I put my point across then the loudest in the room googled it there and then on their IPad and quoted it verbatim. That was the end of my contribution and learning for that cohort. Discussion/Debate should be healthy, respectful and informative, shifting the lens, filters and power bases of those involved, or agreeing to differ, not dominating, dictating or quoting, to which I glaze over, think “knob” and disengage, because life’s too short. Back on topic, a general observation, given what’s been happening in the last 18 months I think we’ve got off pretty lightly thus far. I was expecting worse, sooner. I did get some chickens and 25kg of Italian flour to counter the panic buying, saves a few quid and tastes great. Killed the diet though! lol.
  10. Another couple from Brands Hatch
  11. A couple from Brands Hatch this morning.
  12. Pistachio butter, an Italian/Sicilian spread nice on pancakes, ice cream, bread etc can be used sweet or savoury.
  13. I’m with CM on this, as I haven’t got a time machine or crystal ball, then it’s an educated guess, balancing pros and cons and assessing risk. I can’t second guess the economy’s direction, a look at history might sway things. I’ve thought for a while the bubble will burst, it’s due. Particularly the housing market, which is crazy at present, fuelled by government incentives, shortly to finish.. FOMO and less houses than buyers. Looking at the here and now rather than the what ifs, my moneys no good in the bank, so property has been bought. Minimum medium term investment to ride out the impending peaks and troughs, a doer upper and new build to add value to as and when funds allow. Maybe rent, Airbnb or sell. Who knows.. reappraise when we get there. It might not be the best thing to do right now, but it works for me, is affordable for me and fingers crossed I can ride the impending storm and be relatively intact on the other side. In a nutshell, avoid debt, make educated informed choices, do what’s affordable, consider risk and live within your means
  14. Not posted in a while here, changed my gear had a Canon 5D4 for a while which was superb, now gone mirrorless with an R5 and some RF glass. Taking a while to get used to it. A few shots below.
  15. Well there you go 🙄. As I said in my previous post, a great example of a typical infant school strategy, best left in the playground.
  16. You can’t beat a good old ‘scort, out in force at Snett. Couple of shots below.
  17. Your logic is flawed, it doesn’t make either car better than the other, based on the information you’ve posted, it tells me your mate couldn’t afford the Merc. On occasions when you post it’s better to say something kind or not bother posting at all. In this thread you’ve told Martin his new BMW is crap and bragged about your Superb being a better car than his next choice. If that’s your style, fine, most people can see through it and will ignore it, though you would come across better if you avoided the “my dad is better than your dad” playground mentality and post a kinder more thoughtful comment. Martin, I’d love to see the polestar when it rocks up, we’ll have to arrange a hook up, no pun intended!!
  18. It’s only when you drive a better class of car you look further than the numbers and appreciate it for what it is. Great choice Martin, Was half tempted with an iPace but it looked odd. Polestars look fantastic, I think I might actually be a little envious Lol
  19. Thanks John, working now.. A couple from Snetterton
  20. What are the limits John? I guess I’ve maxed out as it’s not working for me.
  21. Hope all is well with you and the family Martin, a great car for someone, well looked after as always.
  22. Doesn’t look like I can post any images for some reason? No options appearing in the reply box, any ideas anyone?
