  1. First time out at a motorsports event with the new camera body. Still need to fiddle a bit with settings as the autofocus was jumping around a bit too much for me and initial lock on was a tad slow. Didn’t help being a bit out of practice! A few shots from a rainy Knockhill and the BSB practice day.
  2. Jim Clark Rally came past today. Used the camera phone then butchered on the computer.. lol
  3. Trip to Beamish. Took the R3 and a 24-105 lens. A bit overkill for sightseeing tbh. Went a bit mad with the processing.
  4. Had another quick bash with the new camera. Only got 100mm glass with me so have to make do with a longish focal length for everything including landscapes which aren’t my strong point.
  5. New camera along with a macro lens turned up this afternoon. Took me a while to sort the settings out enough to have a go at a shot. First efforts below.
  6. Couple more..
  7. Out and about. East coast near Eyemouth and Cragside.
  8. Sold my R5 so on the camera phone for now. A few shots from the past few weeks.
  9. Great composition, nicely balanced shot. Liking the reflections and processing. Nice one
  10. Had a play with the AI regenerative tools in Photoshop. A before and after below.
  11. An update. Albeit a late one!! Got fed up messing about with the kit, never really got the car running properly on the last engine rebuild. Decided there were better ways to have fun so had a clear out and sold the lot. Decided to take photography a bit more seriously, after all it should be cheaper than a project car right? Over the past three or four years have upgraded the camera gear for not an inconsiderate amount! Decided I needed another project that would make me money so invested in some real estate and after a slow start due to the planning red tape, my son and I are currently converting and extending a Scottish lodge and have a new build in the pipeline. Image of the lodge below and CGI of the proposed new build.
  12. Visited a secret bunker, part of the cold car ROTOR system. Very 50’s
  13. One of the forth bridge.
  14. Scandinavian flick triptych from Knockhill.
  15. I had the same issue and wasted money trying a few wireless options. In the end hard wiring was the best option. I ran a cable and used a Netgear WAP. I used a WAX620 though there are cheaper options such as the WAX 214 for about £90. You may need a PoE switch as they take their power from the Ethernet cable You also use the switch for printers etc. I used a Netgear PoE switch. A GS305P for around £55 would do the trick. In practice you’ll have a different password to the house router.to access it but it’s no hassle. I’m on a fibre network and there is very little if any drop off with the speed using this setup.
  16. Been a while, busy renovating and building.. though managed to get to Knockhill today for a Rally event. A few shots below.
  17. Another couple from today, slightly warmer at -7C
  18. A couple from this afternoon. -13C
  19. Been busy dealing with planning to get a project off the ground. Just completed the plans for ‘phase 2’ a new build on a brown field site. A before and after below. My original shot, though credit to the architect for the CGI work.
  20. A few shots of Sheffield Park Gardens taken today.
  21. A few from last night.
  22. Not sure KBPhoto is still around as the thread is pretty old. I got mine from the dealers so I knew it would be correct rather than a pattern loom.
  23. A few from bike testing today.
  24. Brands Hatch today.
  25. Been messing about with some intentional camera movement recently, to try get get a more abstract arty look with more movement in the shots. Very hit and miss and subjective as to what’s good and not so good. Got this one today, which imo is the best of the bunch snapped.
