yeah, switching to linear pedal response is leagues better than the **** poor system they ship the car by default with what was SKODA thinking when implemented non linear acceleration.. its not just annoying but a safety issue (e.g. car not accelerating as you expect it to when overtaking someone)

if you want wireless android auto I recommend https://carsifi.com/ Its small, connects to your car via USB port and to your phone via bluetooth/wifi - this adapter also has a physical button which if pressed twice cycles between connected phones (meaning in the middle of driving I can switch from my phones android auto to my wifes phone android auto) For me and my wife (I'm on Pixel 6A, she is on Samsung A54) this adapter works with 0 issues, best part is android auto boots up faster then with wired connection, there are no android auto disconnect issues that you get when phone is wired to car (it was beyond annoying having android auto disconnect in the middle of driving just cause phone cable moved slightly) + you can change android auto DPI (I set it to 135DPI so instead of having app selector in fat bottom dock taking unnecessary space, I have thinner dock on the side meaning google maps looks bigger) only downside is bigger phone battery drain when operating android auto wirelessly

I seriously doubt issue will be resolved as its most likely caused by related electronics overheating and going haywire (same reason why infotainment in new octavias keeps resetting).. what a ****show by VW

2.0TSI is considerably more expensive to run: - has worse gas mileage due to more horse power (I would consider 1.5TSI as already having a poor mileage while driving in town cause at just over 310miles I will get a low fuel warning on my 1.5TSI karoq) - has worse gas mileage due to it being heavier cause of the 4x4 system - regular maintenance and any potential repairs are more expensive due to 4x4 system - have to pay more in taxes/fees cause of higher horse power/higher CO2 emissions engine so, how much do you value having a little more power in your car? if you do not mind all the added extra cost and having to stop to refuel more often, than go for the 2.0TSI (and if you really need a 4x4, but how many people realistically do really?)

I was also in the same situation as you OP between Karoq or Tiguan (Kodiaq was too large of a car, or so I thought back then) I have 2 small kids (oldest being 3 years old) and have 2 bulky rearfacing baby seats for them - in my trunk I always carry at least 1 stroller I am 191cm tall and have no issue fitting in Karoq - but I am limited in how much I can move drivers seat backward due to it hitting the baby seat (but still, I have enough room even tho I can't move my seat back any further) I would say Karoq is just about big enough for carrying 2 adults and 2 kids (3 adults can fit, but its not easy getting to the middle seat) - I went to numerous vacations with all 4 of us, including having 2 strollers in my trunk and a portable kids bed + having a big suitcase I would definitely advise on getting a thule roof carrier if you have a lot of stuff you have to take with you - just to make your life easier and not having to leave anything out just cause it can't fit into the trunk and in the car itself also keep in mind that your kids wont need big stollers (and portable beds) for long so your trunk space will free up after 2 or 3 years drastically tiguan was (much) more expensive while not offering that much more room so I opted for Karoq I am 8/10 happy with my FWD 1.5TSI Karoq - would definately go with diesel cause I live in a big city and can get max 550KM of range on a full tank (which I find severely lacking compared to cars I woned in the past, namely diesels that could go over 800KM) - outside of cities it can get to 700KM let me know if you've got any other questions I've uploaded some pictures from one of our vacation trips to get a sense of how much stuff can fit in the car (there are 2 strollers in the trunk)

this new update made me wish I had a bigger infotainment screen - cause right now, having two apps side by side makes the google map smaller to the point where its hard to see next turns so I just always have google maps expanded - but then you have this thick black bar/dock at the bottom (from which you launch apps and see time/signal) which is unnecessarily thick I am sure all this looks great in cars that have big infotainment screens, but in karoq it doesn't look all that good

I ride on 18s in the summer (stock wheels that came with my sportline) and on 17s in the winter I notice a difference in ride comfort when switching between the two (softer ride on 17" . bumps arent as pronounced as on 18" wheels) Since I value comfort over aesthetics, I would never go with 19" wheels..

the mere fact that I don't have to unfold a physical map every 30min to figure out my next turn (when going on a long trip) is indeed progress now I just enter an address in my phone (doesn't even matter if its in another country), and phone will figure out the best route to get there (in most cases), I just connect the phone to my car and have the directions on cars screen - want to find a petrol station or restaurant ? no problem, 2 taps and I get a listing of all stations/restaurants that are open and don't require going off route It will even warn me of road closures or traffic jams and offer me alternative routes also I can use internet radio for spots with bad radio analogue signal can't get much easier than that Don't need navigation/internet radio? Ok, just use the cars built in infotainment system as you did years ago I don't understand how anyone can claim life was much simpler years ago..

Unfortunately, you just wasted your money on that pedal box The delay is there due to Karoq shipping with non linear throttle response to fix this, you just needed to use ODBeleven to do the following (you can even do this with free tier OBDeleven): DIRECT THROTTLE - THROTTLE RESPONSE With this mod, we will be able to change the behavior of the throttle. Option B offers a more linear acceleration without sudden deliveries. Steps: 1 - Module 44 - Power steering. 2 - Adaptation 3 - Select - Driving profile switching Options: A - Gradual, controlled by time (this is the one that comes as standard) We select option B B - Directly, controlled by threshold value We give him to accept and enter the code (19249) And that's it! Made the cars gas pedal much more responsive (I have manual 1.5TSI) but do note it will affect your fuel economy for the worse because car now accelerates much faster instead of taking its sweet time trying to calculate how fast you depressed the gas pedal and in what amount of time.. btw after you make this change, it might make your pedal box have a much more noticeable effect?

I'd kill to have front end of the original model and back end of the refreshed model (those full LED tail lights are the only thing missing from my original karoq) - would be one of the best looking SUVs on the market also refreshed model is 7mm longer - would also like that for more room inside the car (I have 2 big baby seats in the back that take up all my room)

I use the big center gauge cluster all the time due to easy readability (having the speed, gear and revolutions front and center so its hard to miss) - I don't care about other info (and I am aware side options can be swapped) I like the new design even more cause it looks cleaner (no carbon fiber graphic in the middle) and speedometer is larger + revolution numbers aren't unnaturally wide Will dealerships offer latest software as an update for older karoqs? Or are we "stuck" with original release software?

you missunderstood I already have digital drivers display - I just want the fancy graphics from the 2022 model instead of the one present on my 2019 sportline would it really be that expensive just to update the software? is it even possible to get software from a newer edition of car (MY22) on older older model (MY19) - surely hardware is the same (processing, graphics)?

So the new Karoq 2022 model comes with newer software - I was wondering if it will be possible to update older models with this newer software? More specifically I am interested in the newer digital drivers display graphics (shown here: https://youtu.be/6l6dAYVK4Xk?t=241 ) as they look better (imo) I also wouldn't mind that steering wheel as to me its better looking then the one I have in my sportline

I have a 1.5TSI manual and am not happy about its mileage I average around 370~miles with one full gas of tank, with 430~miles being the absolute most I can get out of my car (but I have to drive out of town like a grandpa to achieve that) but I accept that since car is nearly perfect in every other aspect and for the fact I won't have to deal with diesel DPF failing any more like in my previous car.

the only negative thing I can say about sunroofs is that they add weight to the car (to the worst place possible - at the top of the car) negatively affecting mileage and handling (to a certain degree)

I noticed same thing started happening these past few days on my nearly 2 year old sportline reversing camera does not activate sometimes or it cuts off other times might be cause I connected my smartphone to USB before starting the car - meaning, you have to wait for android auto to startup fully and then go into reverse for the camera to be activated? dunno, will have to do some more testing

I've seen several Karoqs in metallic black paint and they all looked bland - its difficult to notice any body work or details like black trim/badging that come with sportline models To me, black is one of the worst Karoq colors

I managed to scratch the glossy plastic on the central console (to be more specific, cover for the smartphone compartment). Has anyone here put dark mat stickers over that plastic and has any recommendations on where to buy it online? thanks!
