  1. battery is thicker compared to CR2025 so it's not seated properly (wants to pop out) - you just have to press the key cover with a little bit more force and it will close properly
  2. Fux replied to Cvak's topic in Skoda Karoq
my white sportline on 17" winter wheels
  3. Whats a motion sensing key? I only have standard kessy (touch door handle to unlock/lock) so I guess I have regular key Just put CR2032 into both keys - it's 40% bigger in capacity compared to CR2025 that comes standard, so I hope it will last longer than 11 months..
  4. its panasonic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czl3nlloyWk
  5. got my brand new sportline 11 months ago, and already batteries died without any warning in one of my keyfobs
  6. Eh, my local dealer told me it was a no go since the wireless charger isn't sold as part of additional equipment.
  7. I'm only interested in official wireless charger from skoda and if their dealer is willing to install it. Nice to hear that wireless AA works with that charger.
  8. Can this be retrofitted to older karoqs (I have MY20 sportline with manual shifter) ? Does it also support wireless android auto or is it only wireless charging?
  9. Whats the button for air recycling? Also will keep AC turned on from now on (and will get something to absorb moisture), thanks for advice everyone
  10. With colder weather and more rain I've noticed front windshield fogging up quiet easily/badly - to the point I have to run the "defogging" (whatever its called) climate control program every several minutes while driving (which is annoying since it is very loud and not very fast at defogging) or else the front windshield is quite badly fogged up and visibility is severely compromised Any tips as to how to avoid this? I don't have heated front windshield Outside temps are 10C (50F) and it's raining most of the time, I keep in car temp at 20C (68F) with AC off (just on regular auto) Turning on the fans that are located below the windshield helps (not the defogging program, but just having that up arrow button turned on), but not 100% and then I have weaker air flow to the back of the car (rear seats) Its driving me mad
  11. Where did you get that from? Any pics? Are reversing and rear indicators arranged as individual LED bulbs, or are they diffused strips like front turning signals and daylights (which look much much nicer) ?
  12. I don't have it in my MY20 sportline - one of the first things I looked for (including that washer fluid cap which I also dont have)
  13. Recently saw a karoq (older production model as it had a badge on rear door instead of skoda lettering) with full LED rear headlights - I've got a 2019 sportline with full LED headlight option but only rear stop light is LED, reversing and blinker lights use halogen bulbs. Maybe it was an aftermarket fit since his reversing/blinker lights consisted out of several visible diodes? Is there a full official LED option pack for karoq (with no halogen bulbs at all)?
  14. also 1.0TSI manual only has 5 gears, instead of 6 you get with 1.5TSI > better to have 6 for highway cruising
  15. If you have the lane assist camera installed (the one just below the main rear view mirror).
  16. I'm from Croatia and also got those white spots on my sportline seats - car is mostly parked in an underground garage but when outside sun is really strong so I wouldn't be surprised these spots are caused by the sun I've only had the car for 10 months..
  17. It took around 20 days from placing the order on the shop to actually receiving the items (I'm in Croatia)
  18. What is required to get it fitted? I've got 2019 sportline (full LED lights) but it only has front assist (no lane/side assist)
  19. speedo: I've noticed speed being over reported as well - at least highway/road speed measurement signs always display lower speed than the in-car speedo suspension: the only time I notice it being noisy is when driving over highway speed bumps (when there's bunch of those road ripples), but overall I'd say suspension is soft/quiet and soaks up the bumps nicely (but it helps having 17" wheels with thicker tire wall compared to 18" wheels) and regarding driving noise, tires have a big impact on decibels - replacing the ones shipped with car for a better quality ones should help mystery noises: none in my car, not even a creak or a squeal seats: I've got sportline model with sport seats - they're fabric and have good lumbar support (no lower back pain after 3h of driving), I'd only replace them cause they are wider than standard seats and cloth is harder to clean wipers: work great, can't hear them in the rain I'm on a 2019 Sportline 1.5TSI (manual) - economy isn't great (cause I don't have patience and drive slightly more aggressively) and you can easily waste a lot of fuel or have the engine near diesel mpg figures (if you take it lightly) Also I miss diesel low rpm pulling power (turbo lag is noticeable in 1.5TSI) Overall I am happy with the car so far (after 9months) - enough interior space, good build quality, good ride, good equipment level for cheap (much cheaper than equally specd Tiguan - Seat Ateca is cheaper than Karoq but Seats have ultra bland interiors, even Ateca after recent facelift) Unfortunately I was in a car accident recently and now have to wait for repairs (totaling nearly 40% value of the car - dealer said they will be done in 3 weeks time and will disassemble and assemble whole car again bringing it back to factory condition - I doubt it, but lets see)
  20. Diesel has better power delivery at lower rpm which might be better for towing (I wouldn't know, as I don't tow I have a 1.5TSI (150bhp) and turbo lag is noticeable + car feels alive only in 3000+rpm range. I don't know if 190bhp variant is any better in that regard.
  21. Slightly offtopic, but can we get a software update to latest infotainment used in 2021 Superb, Octavia IV? If yes, will it be possible to update software by yourself or only by an authorized dealer?
  22. I have a sportline but don't know which sound generator you speak of? Is sound system pumping fake engine noise into the cabin or?
  23. Battery isnt the only thing affected by START/STOP system, the whole engine is put under stress when turning it on - now imagine turning it on and off 100 times during daily commute in heavy traffic.. Also pollution can't be solved with half-assed attempts like START/STOP - people need to go fully electric before we get rid of pollution in any measurable way Its beyond annoying that the car does not remember the last set option - it will always default to START/STOP enabled when powering on the car
  24. You can disable START/STOP thru ODB coding (no need for ODB license, just the device and mobile app), I've disabled it this way (but START/STOP icons still appear in the dashboard as if the system was enabled) : IMPORTANT : The deactivation of the S&S through this mod is permanent, as long as the default value is not restored. The mod prevents the system from being activated. 1. Go to Module 19 - Data diagnostic interface . 2. Select Safety Access: 20103 3. Select Adaptation 4. Select Initial Voltage Limit Start / Stop 5. Enter value 12 6. Confirm the changes. This function is the one that deactivated the Start Stop when the battery is low on charge, so it has a value of 7.6, when this value is raised and in normal conditions, the battery does not activate the Start Stop.
  25. No, this wont affect kangaroo - you have to have a dealer apply an engine software fix for that This coding will just make the gas pedal behave like in most other cars. You can still have issues with power loss in 1st and 2nd because that is a different problem. DIRECT ACCELERATION - THROTTLE RESPONSE With this mod, we can change the behavior of the throttle. Option B offers more linear acceleration without sudden deliveries. Steps: 1 - Module 44 - Power steering. 2 - Adaptation 3 - Select - Driving profile switching Options: A - Gradual, time controlled (this is the one that comes standard) We select option B B - Directly, controlled by threshold value We accept and enter the code (19249)
