  1. I have a dumb question. USB-C just in front of the gear knob right, where we hook up the cables for our phones?
  2. This would be wonderful to see how you would do it. A video tutorial would be great.
  3. All Skoda's do this sound. I have reported this to Skoda, and they took me for a ride in another brand spanking new Octavia and it did the exact same sound.
  4. I was just curios, has anyone fitted a camera on a 2020 Octavia with a Swing infotainment system? Doesn't have to be OEM.
  5. I switched the batteries, but it still shows that dumb "Replace key batteries" error everytime I start the car?
  6. I want to change my tail lights to the higher spec. Right now I have those dumb half-lit tail lights.
  7. By less powerful - the 1.0TSi/1.6Mpi (Russian market) ?
  8. WTF?! I have to check mine
  9. Hey folks I am a bit confused about the fuel tank capacity. Is it 45 liters or 50 liters. I have fill the tank to the top (first click). So far I have made 705km Average fuel consumption 5.9l/100km Range - 180km! That said: If I multiply 5.9 * 7.05 = 41.595l of fuel used. If my average consumption is 5.9l/100km according to the trip computer I have 10,62l of fuel in the tank. 5.9l - 100km x l - 180km (5.9*180)/100 = 10.62l That is equivalent to around 50l tank or to be precise 52.215l So I have opened up the manual and it says that there three types of petrol tanks - 45l - 50l - 55l for the 4x4 models My car is a regular 1.5 TSi first gen, 150BHP manual transmission MY2020 (February 2020)
  10. The car suffers from electronic issues, nothing mechanical that I can report. Rides good, fuel economy is great. I am happy with the car but those electronic issues - man, they get on my nerves.
  11. A quick update. After A LONG LONG endless testing they found out there was an issue. Skoda were informed and a new pump was put in. I filled up my tank, but it appears that the issue is not fully resolved. The fuel level is still very optimistic even though my calculations show that it should not be on that level. Honestly I am getting tired with this crap from VAG.
  12. I was on an 8 HOURS software update recall on 19th July. I don't think it changed much.
  13. Michelin Primacy 4 (205/50/R17)
  14. Hi folks Has anyone experienced a fuel gauge malfunction? The range is resetting constantly, and the tank shows always full. 1.5 TSI EVO engine 150. I have noticed this issue back in June 2021, and was not resolved with the 8 hour update in July. I have reported it to my Skoda dealer, and apparently they infromed Skoda HQ. On the Karoq or Kamiq appear to have the same issue and additional rubber mounts were added in the fuel tank for the fuel level indicator.
  15. No dome light Reading lights. The left one for some reason.
  16. 5200km so far. No issues to report. Except for a weird rear dome light that comes on for unknown reasons. Infotainment freezes from time to time, but I easily restart it. This especially happens when I hook up my phone with the cable to use Android Auto. Other that that, nothing else to report. So far so good.
  17. 1) I have the standard LED lights. I don't know, for me they look great. My previous cars were a BMW E61 530D with lens and VW Passat B6 2.0TDI also with lens (xenon both) and the LEDs are way way way better. Maybe check your settings on your infotainment system. There is a option to level them up. 2) You have an issue with your handbrake mate. My car releases the brake as soon as I let go of the clutch. No hesitations or noises whatsoever. I had that electronic handbrake on the Passat and they work in the same way. Check with your dealer.
  18. Recently my rear dome light is turning it self on for some reason, even on a locked car. Anyone has any info on this?
  19. Wow that's a long list. Here is my experience so far (5200km) 1. I haven't had such an issue with the seat. 2. No Airbag error whatsoever so far. 3. No such issue 4. Parking assist error - usually it is veeery intermittent, usually if the screen is frozen or something, but it resolves it self, from time to time. 5. Start and Stop - had an error in the first 300km. They found out what the issue was and reported it to Skoda. They changed some parameters manually, and never had any issues since. I was reached back by my Skoda dealer to double check if all was fine. Knock on wood it is great. 6. Yeah I have the smaller infotainment, and it gets stuck. They did an update. Nope. I have to hold the button for 5-6 seconds and it restarts and resolves the issue. It's just electronics I have understanding as long as it manages to get it self back to work. 7. No such issue. 8. Reach the dealer. They registered me, and with the update I had couple of months ago, it works flawlessly.
  20. Rule of thumb is to never rev a gasoline engine above 3000-3500 rpm when new. In terms of oil consumption, I think I have checked the car at around 3500-4000km, the engine oil was good and set to MAX. Now the car has 5200km, so far so good. In terms of the mileage it's maybe 60% city, 40% highway drive.
  21. Btw for the new guys we have a thread here for annoying things I figured out the vibrations in 2 cyl mode. It is down to how the rubber bushings on the bonnet are set. I set them to the highest possible level and vibrations are now less obvious. Try it out.
  22. I couldn't use Honk and Flash Locking and unlocking the car Intermittent issues with logging in ...
  23. Dunno they called me and they were doing the update. Not sure why
  24. Hey folks I was called up by my dealer and I went for an update. All the issues with the Skoda Connect were resolved. I got all the functions now turned on and they work. Please note, this could be a specific update for my local market - North Macedonia, but reach out to your dealer and ask them. I will try to put some screenshots of the SW version.
  25. Finally I got an update from Skoda! I went to the dealer and they have updated my infotainment. Now everything works! I am so chuffed!
