  1. Hi all, I'm hoping someone could help me with trying to get my fogs-only working as CH/LH. I've followed the guide and they're working but the sidelights still seem to come on as well and I can't figure out why. Would someone be able to look at my adaption map and assist at all please? adpmap-09-5Q0-937-086-AK_TMBMJ7NE5G0063276-20220412-1409.CSV
  2. Hey again - any help on this would be appreciated 👍🏻
  3. Yeah that’s right - would have been nice to just buy a ‘kit’ but ah well, I’ll continue to use my arm 😊
  4. Hi Sasha where you would recommend I look for such items for my octy scout please? Are the struts all I need or is there with items??
  5. Hi folks. I’ve just been reading through this adaption and I have successfully turned off the dips and have fogs as ch/lh - having read this thread, I will check my adaption map but can anyone confirm that you also need to do this for the sidelight bulb (standard halogens) as mine seem to illuminate on ch/lh. I also have set my fogs as drl but that shouldn’t affect this at night I believe
  6. Thanks for the responses. They do look nice
  7. Hi everyone, would this be a suitable kit for my octy3?? Clicky
  8. Hi @Powerred are you able to advise what kit you used please? I have an octy3 scout but assuming all the kits for vw are the same?? I’ve seen some lights on an auction site but they don’t seem to come with harness
  9. Hi all, reading through this whole thread which is very useful. I too would probably prefer an OEM feel but it does look more complicated. At the beginning, a wiring diagram was shown but am I right in assuming the only actual ‘wiring’ is feeding from the cAmera to the head unit or is there also a plug in the back somewhere I need to tap in to? sorry for my ignorance, but what is ODIS? I have vcds so comfortable with the coding part … (I think)
  10. Cheers - I was also going to change the high/low bulbs to led given that it wouldn’t matter so much for being legal in the uk (correct me if I’m wrong). I’m guessing this would mean a constant led light for drl and sidelight and then main beam would be bright led and turn off when seeing oncoming traffic anyway
  11. Hey @TudorDthanks for the info. It’s interesting that those led bulbs are legal in those countries. And that’s in a reflector housing correct??
  12. I tried to do my own and they were rubbish. I bit the bullet and bought from superskoda and they’re really nice (black with white background)
  13. @TudorDdid you establish if the lights were brighter in the end?
  14. Hi @xpower I know this is an old thread and there's likely other topics that cover this, but out of interest, what led fogs did you install? Safe to say, the foglights on my scout are pony!
  15. Hello all, Sorry for commenting on such an old topic but i wanted to ask if i've done anything wrong. I have read through all the posts on here and have applied this adaption to my 65 reg octavia scout that has lane assist etc ... Everything seems to work with the traffic sign recognition system and I don't appear to get any of the errors that other people mention. However, when i do an autoscan, I do get a fault under the FR camera. If I clear it, it stays clear for a while but then returns. Is there something else I need to do? Here is the error I get: Address A5: Frt Sens. Drv. 16. Thanks for the advice 👍🏻
  17. Cheers for the advice. I haven’t had it mapped or anything and it’s only a scout. It is a dual mass flywheel so I reckon I’ll get it done. I believe they are installing LUK parts
  18. So looks like mine is gonna cost £1100 to do and that includes the flywheel while everything is off. In your opinion, do you think it’s worth having done? Without the flywheel is £700 odd. The car has done just shy of 60k miles …
  19. It seems I have been stung with this problem this morning. By the time I got to the garage I could barely change gear. The rub, is that I bought the car off Skoda last year (2nd hand) and it’s less than 3 weeks out of warranty. As you can guess, Skoda don’t want to know with “I don’t know why they’ve referred you to us, you should go to them” etc … my local reckons the same as above - either master cylinder or slave/clutch. 6 year old car with less than 60k. Give me back my shogun!!
  20. Thanks so much. Everyone is so knowledgable here!
  21. Ah yeah cool I do remember it saying something about doing an extra step but then it worked anyway. so nothing to worry about then? Nothing I can do to sooth my ocd?
  22. I think I managed to get this to work so thanks for your help! one thing I did notice when doing an auto scan was a software fault in one of the modules - i think it’s to do with the infotainment system. I did update the firmware a month or so ago supplied by someone off here so could that be it? I can share the scan when I get back to my laptop ...
  23. Cool so where it says 0000001 in the photos (for example) I just amend that on the byte and bobs your uncle?!
  24. Hi all, Sorry to bring up such an old thread but i'm recently in receipt of a Hex V2 interface and I'm making a few changes - namely the HBA. I am running a 65 Octy Scout without xenons but with lane assist and I note in the guides it says "change Byte 2 to Hex 09". Before I make any adjustments, does this mean to change the binary to 1001? Sorry if this is such a noob question but I want to be sure before I start messing about with things. Safe to say that the software has had a number of updates since this guide but i'm making my way through it so far (I think!) Also I run the adaption map before anything else as instructed. Thanks for you help!
