  1. Nothing, no Health report and no video sent to me as yet. If I hadn’t of contacted them chasing an update today I would of had no contact with anyone except the gent from roadside who came out Friday and Saturday!
  2. Apparently they have needed to go to technical?? I find the whole thing odd. Especially considering according to my app the car has been locked and parked all day. As I said appreciate the car having issues (a little - obviously mildly aggrieved at this age / mileage!!) but what’s riled me up is the total lack of customer service. At least if your too scared to call a customer to give them bad news… hide behind an SMS or an email at least. But no contact. Beyond appalling and has upset us the most. I will not name and shame dealers as yet but depending on the outcome of this it may be worth spreading the word.
  3. So latest update. Car has been with the dealer since Saturday. Not had a single outbound message from them to myself since the car was recovered 4 days ago so I decided to chase this PM as 36 hours off going on holiday… They have no idea what is wrong with it and no ETA on completion. Long and short is the brand new car we brought with less than 3K on it we will not be taking on our first holiday since lockdown. No apology what-so-ever for the predicament they have put us in let alone all the roof bars and box we have purchased for the car. The replacement Audi Q5 stinks of smoke and has nearly 10k on it as nice and flash as the Q5 is we brought a NEW car for a reason. Had the dealer bothered to make outbound calls/email/SMS to me I wouldn’t have been so angry but they have really really let me down with the lack of customer service. Car is a car and it will break and it has warranty for a reason but without customer service and communication it’s nothing. Again… watch this space. Guess I’ll be removing the 5* google review they got when I purchased it…!!

  5. Our 1.5 broke down Friday and has been recovered to garage with a fuel pump/control unit fault. EPC/EML on. Don’t rev over 4000rpm message and start/stop deactivated. Ours is MY21.

  7. Ok so Audi Q5 40TDI Quattro ‘70 plate as a replacement. Things are looking up! In no rush for a fix now!
  8. Well my cars been collected by the road assist gent (Really great gent couldn’t be more helpful) this morning. I’ve had a call from enterprise saying they can’t deliver the car to me as they are too busy but I can go down there at 2pm and collect a car but they can’t tell me what it’s going to be yet. Watch this space…
  9. Well sadly after only six months we had to get roadside out today. Dashboard was a Christmas tree today and a total lack of power. Warning on the dash not to exceed 4000rpm and difficulty starting. Roadside have said the issue is with the fuel pump or control unit. Limped it home and it’s going to be collected tomorrow. Typically for the first time since buying the car and first time after lockdown we had a holiday booked next week so feeling rather let down by the car today! Normally I’ll fly the flag loud and proud for it so let’s hope my dealer put some confidence back next week! Given then a list of other things to look at too whilst in - SOS fault, mooing brakes when I mentioned them the dealer didn’t seem surprised by any of them!

  11. I’ll be honest I’m not quite sure. However the blade seems to have 1-2cm of travel within the arm which I’ve not seen on aero style wipers before
  12. Hi there, Cars now 5 months old and we’re suffering from the dreaded banging window wipers. Lots of mention of Bosch AeroTwins being a good replacement. I’ve looked online and getting different codes for them. Could anyone confirm the set codes for the correct ones? MY2021 Karoq SEL
  13. Ours had this the other day too. Had to go back into the settings and change it back…. Are the headlamps linked to the GPS? If so the ‘switch’ will of con-encided with getting SOS errors up and nav destination being lost at the same point?
  14. Ours is MY21 1.5TSI DSG has done the same from new. Think it’s normal I put it down to cylinder deactivation or the gasoline particulate filter or similar. So many things going on in a modern engine I just take it as witchcraft rather than combustion cycle that keeps them going!
  15. Yup you must have the dealer ‘activate’ you for full control. It took a few days of chasing my dealer to do this when I brought it as originally all I had was honk & flash nothing else worked
  16. Will be interested if they fix yours with new parts or just ‘software update’ as it may become a common thing all of us with MIB IIIs will need in time.
  17. Yes we’ve had the warning twice in last few weeks once in Richmond and once in Croydon. Very annoying the orange triangle but I sure as heck am not going to book in for something we will never use!
  18. Hopped in the car yesterday and this popped up on the screen. Also noticed my maps have updated to latest version also. So it seems it is working automatically over the air! I wonder if that fact I forced the issue of my dealer ‘activating’ Skoda Connect app so I have the full control including lock/unlock via the app that all this is working without intervention from myself?? I read a lot of posts both here and on Karoq Facebook group where people say the Connect App is rubbish or doesn’t work and I also get the feeling that ‘most’ (not all) dealers are not activating this on handover perhaps this is where people are falling short of their updates. There’s more to the account than just knowing location of your car, geofencing, remote lock/unlock etc. Maybe having your ‘shop’ activated helps? I work for Daimler and all our new cars are over the air updates for most things but it’s down to customer to have an account set up but us as a dealer network to ‘ok’ the customer once account set up. I suspect VWG aren’t far different as most control units are probably made by similar manufacturers I.e Bosch, Becker, Harman etc. then supplied.

  20. Standard on all models now from MY21 the three spoke is now the upgrade. It’s a really nice steering wheel feels good and the scroll controls are excellent
  21. I’ve submitted an email to them as I’m stuck and cannot update radio logos on our 6 week old car
  22. Yeah test drove on 18’s but couldn’t tell you if I notice any difference from that short one drive. To be fair the drive is superb just more noticeably hard over speed humps or rougher roads to our previous car (VW Touran on 16’s!) Im more scared of damage than the ride if I’m really honest!
