Just a word of warning, never lubricate or degrease boot struts, you can lubricate the ball joints and clean the rod of dust and dirt, but never grease or oil the struts. You can destroy their ability to hold up you rear door in seconds.

Yes it’s annoying as it has been working before Christmas, so not sure what changed. I’ll update and check back here soon. As a matter of interest what version firmware is on your Amunsden.

Thanks for the photos. I can scroll between pages without a problem and I can see the mySkoda App. I tried tonight following your sequence. CarPlay loads without issue. I have the mySkoda App open on my phone but when I try to open the MySkoda app on CarPlay I get the MySkoda Error "Your Vehicle does not support SmartLink+ features". Oddly though I was able to log a journey in the app on my phone.

Any chance you can post a video of that icon and what happens when you scroll across, not sure I can do that but will check.

Ok thanks for the prompt reply. The Grey Skoda icon used to work and gave me some vehicle stats like acceleration, G force, Braking Force etc. Not been able to open that for a while. The Green Skoda App (MySkoda) yep OK will try your sequence. Do you have the grey Skoda Icon.

It didn't work. Had the app open. Connected my iPhone, opened the Skoda Icon (Grey) selected device and it closed. Open mySkoda on CarPlay and it tells me my vehicle doesn't support SmartLink+ IMG_7338.mov

OK will give it a try, I presume you mean the new MySkoda App. I'm running iPhone 12 iOS14.

Bump, Anyone having this issue.

Cant fault my Amunsden unit. Volume is loud, very loud and the sound control is spot on, great base. DAB is clear and SD media is great. In the last 10 years I’ve had 3 Ford’s, a Quashqi, and a Honda Civic and the audio in my Octavia SEL tops the lot.

Didn’t think the interior lights were monitored hence the ability to replace without tweaking the settings.

Do the Osram and the cheaper LEDs fade correctly on the cabin lights. I understand the boot lights just go off, but need to fade for the others.

Ok I have a 67 plate SEL with LEDs all round as standard apart from the interior lighting so will give these a go.

Just seen your post and interested in doing the same, but a few reviews mention flickering after a short time. Let us know how you get on with these. When did you install them.

Just treated all of mine and my wife’s car with silicon spray wiped over the rubbers, both on the door and the body if you have both. No more sticking/freezing seals.

Hardly safe to keep quiet about it. The risks are huge. Imagine 2 or bikes falling off on the motorway. Even though they have advertised roof bars which have since been removed from the sales blurb, the took the trouble to mention it in the user manual.

Apparently the new MG 5 EV's roof rails are for decorative purposes only. I mean, who designs roof rails in to a car and they cannot be used as err, roof rails. The manufacturer has removed all references to bike racks and roof bars on the new EV. Misting is normal for LED lights as there isn't enough heat to dry out moisture. There shouldn't be water droplets unless the moisture has gathered into droplets. There is reference to this in the manual for cars with LED lights.

Is it hill hold being over zealous. Maybe that needs adjusting if it can be.

Already do that. I have a 128GB SD card with all my music and the icons stored in a folder. Makes no difference.

When I first had my car a few weeks ago this app worked fine. Apple CarPlay loads each time without issue but the Skoda App in CarPlay no longer loads. It tells me what available devices there are which is my iphone12 but when I select it it crashes back to the CarPlay screen. I’ve done a hard reset also forgotten car from my iPhone but still cannot get this app to load. 67plate SEL with Amunsden Infotainment.

The double click of the key fob is throwing me. Just swapped a 62 plate Honda Civic that required a double click of the fob to deadlock the car, so need to forget this on the Occty otherwise I disable the dead locking each time.
