Door lights?
My 67 Plate SEL has reflectors only.

SD card Music Issue
4 hours for 26gb doesn’t sound right. I know updating the head unit firmware can be problematic which is why it is suggested using a battery charger to stop things shutting down mid update but can’t see that’s necessary for the maps update. Where have these figures come from.

Asking for navigation and my Headunit opens my phone contacts!
How did you issue the command. As far as I know you have to say Navigation first then you are prompted for the city and road. That said I don't find the voice controls that good. I have the latest firmware 0478 as well.

add door-bottom logo projector 'welcome' lights to 2020 Octavia Scout (that did not come with them)?
You can get battery operated/rechargeable Logo lights but it depends on how you want to fit them and the final look and appeal https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Universal-Projection-Courtesy-(Rechargeable/dp/B08YJZPVT2/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=skoda+Door+Lights&qid=1620898413&sr=8-3 Obviously a lot easier than trying to wire in.

Are these vehicle reports available in any Octavia, if so how do you access them.

Bolero Change.
I don’t know for sure, but no I don’t think this will work. You will need to replace the head unit in the glovebox to give you extra functions. Also Smartlink is a chargeable product and needs to be enabled by your dealer. I don’t think it’s that straightforward.

How do I change rear seat belts?
You will need to have it replaced pre MOT. Any seatbelt damage is a fail as far as I'm aware.

Centre armrest leather scratched Mk3 Scout
Find a saddler/leather repairs online near to you, they should be able to repair the scratch. Have to say that because of the leather in mine I bought roof bars for this reason. It would annoy me intensely if I had done the same.

Expansion bottle replacement
There does not seem to be a pattern for inclusion of the Silicate bag. The post below includes comments from @Pagan-Image whose 68 Plate VRS included a Silicate bag, where as my 67 Plate 1.4 SEL does not.

Skoda Octavia 3 Owners register
All about reducing drag/road noise etc, but easy enough to activate. How often do you change wiper blades.

Chirping from air con - MK3
Just had this noise start on my 67 Plate SEL. Disappears when I turn off theAirCon/Ventilation completely. AirCon seems nice and cold so not sure a recharge would fix it.

SD card Music Issue
You can use Windows to format above 32GB but not with the format dialog box. Use either the Disk Management interface , or in a command prompt use FORMAT or DISKPART. Open a Command Prompt. On the Command line type "format /FS:FAT32 D: /q", assuming D: is your SD card. Alternatively also in a command prompt type, Type "diskpart" then press Enter Type "list volume" then press Enter Type "select volume x", where x is the drive letter of your SD card. Type "format fs = fat32" and press Enter.

Picked up my 1.5 TSi yesterday.
Yes my 1.4 SEL has an umbrella under the passenger seat and a holder for a fluorescent vest under the driver seat. Ice scraper is green and located in the fuel filler flap. if both are missing get in touch with the dealer.

Missing functions on 2019 VRS infotainment?

SD card Music Issue
Any odd characters in the file names

SD card Music Issue
Have you checked the missing files are playable on your PC and not just visible. Although they might have an MP3 file extension they may not be MP3 files.

Right Heater Problems
Yours looks identical to mine bar the top left plastic bit and obviously the wording on the side. Does anyone know what the Silicate is supposed to do other than cause major problems if the bag splits.

Right Heater Problems
Strange don't understand at all why some would and some wouldn't especially given the different ages of the vehicles. Pre 67 had one, mine doesn't, but a 68 plate does.

Right Heater Problems
I thought all cars of this age didn’t have the silIcate bag fitted. As mentioned my 67 plate doesn’t have one. Does your expansion tank have “MIT Silikat” on it.

1.4TSI vs 1.5TSI Octavia DSG 2018 differences?
OP is looking at a later model, but an interesting point. When the 1.5TSI was introduced I expected more power, certainly another 20bhp if not more. Couldn't see the point of introducing a new engine with a bigger capacity but with the same power as its 1.4TSI counterpart. When Honda introduced their 1.5 litre engine in produces a little over 180bhp. I was interested in this as I already had a 1.6 diesel Civic but wanted to move to a petrol with an auto box. Test drove the manual 1.5 Honda and it went like stink. They launch the auto version with a crappy CVT box on it hence my move to Skoda. I would have been tempted with the 1.5 had the power been more than the 1.4.

1.4TSI vs 1.5TSI Octavia DSG 2018 differences?
Yes because the DSG version was less prone to the kangarooing than the manual version, same engine, different gearbox.
