  1. Thanks for the information. I a using destiled water, i plan to put coolant tomorrow, since the water still comes out with a little brownish color.
  2. Ok, i will keep that in mind, he says to come back tomorrow to do that with calm
  3. Alright. I just want to be prepared to what the mechanic will say this time. I am in line waiting for the mechanic to check the timing of the pump again
  4. Hello. The previous problem was due the faulty coolant temp sensor. The problem is back. And just after refilling the radiator with tap water... i read somewhere i te internet that tap water can cause misreading of the coolant sensor, ia that true? I dont think so. (I am using tap water for couple of daya because i am flushing the system, i had in plan to put coolant today.)
  5. Hi, i need to know which of the holes is the one used for locking the pump? The round or the square one? Both are with 10 degrees of difference, the round one is more toward the front
  6. Hi guys, how much is the fuel consumption at idling? Before valve lifting change was 0.3l/h After new valve lifter and adjust of the injection pump is now 0.4l/h. Will that increase be proportional and reflected in high speed driving too?
  7. Yes, that is what i will do, use best quality oil i can get here (a Repsol 10w40 that comply with vw regulationl and a frequent interval
  8. After several disputes with part stores (they insisted in the part number 038 which is for the tdi) i was able to get the 034. But in two brands Topran and VIKA I dont want topran Have you ever heard the second one?
  9. In this country they insist tdi and sdi can use the same lifters even when the internal height of the part that face to the valve is diferent and the part number is different too... What an odyssey
  10. Even the dealer says they never bring the lifters... Oh wao
  11. Yea, i find in OSCARO they are different
  12. Good morning. Question. Are the TDI hydraulic lifters the same for the SDI? Someone told me to avoid Topran brand, and those are the only available in thia country. But i got some from another quality brand (dont remember) but the seller says it is for he TDI
  13. Got it, i really need the car, last time i use it was giving me 2.3 liter per 100, 85km/h flat 🙇🏻‍♂️
  14. Compression test? Maybe the dealer has that simply tool. But at your knowledge, for running the engine a minute with the old stuck lifters, could that have caused major damages?
  15. No, i mean the engine and valves, i dont care about the old lifter, all i want is my engine back safe and sound.
  16. Ohh that is why i heard a noise f air in reverse in the air intake. So, luckly, i just need to get new quality lifters and thats it?
  17. For sure es 🤣🤣. So, do you think that i dont have to worry for permanent damage after running the car idle for one minutes with old fill with oil and stuck lifters?
  18. We ran the engine for like one mi ute with that situation. Do you think....?
  19. Ok, thank you for the answers. And now that you mention, new lifters come compressed. What about when i install used one, filled with oil and stuck...? It's what the mechanic did because he tought it would work
  20. So, with soaking it in oil for some minutes then intall on the engine and thats it?
  21. Is it true that if i remove the hydraulic lifters of my old engine, i must install them in the same position? Not because the wear pattern, but due the oil charge status inside them to match the valve height
