Brake pads and discs?
Might as well hijack this thread as it's the same subject. Any idea what front pads I'll need for calipers like this or have I got to take the wheel off again and measure the disc? Websites aren't clear with the stock photos they use 😒 07 plate 1.2 12 valve

Wheel size compatibility
Bog standard steel rim got kerbed in the snow. In case it can't be hammered out, what other rims will fit? I'm guessing certain VW Golf/Polo models? Tyre is 185 60 R14 if that helps

1.2 12V 07 plate stalls at idle & temp limp mode after a thrashing
Well, both faults haven't come up again in 2 days of going on driving lessons with my son, unfortunately he didn't pass his test today so now I've got time to have a play around I can see if it was the coil or new spark plugs/gaps that fixed it.

1.2 12V 07 plate stalls at idle & temp limp mode after a thrashing
In taking spark plugs out (they looked ok, light brown electrodes etc but gap 0.9mm; replaced them anyway) middle coil looked like either it has been in contact with something hot or something has been rubbing against it. I'm inclined to think the former as the groove is rough not smooth and polished from rubbing. Wondering if it was previously in cyl 1 position and that earth wire crossing coil area has been rubbing in the past? Anyhow, that's the first coil I will swap when the spare turns up eventually.

Engine warning light and occasional judder even after changing a coil?
Which OBD reader do you recommend? One I just got off ebay was duff.

1.2 12V 07 plate stalls at idle & temp limp mode after a thrashing
Heard coils need to be put back at original cylinder if removed but if it's a replacement will it need 'setting up' at the ECU?

1.2 12V 07 plate stalls at idle & temp limp mode after a thrashing
Part numbers all correspond to those listed except the coils, I've got 036905715 E on all cylinders, weird? Should I get F or E?

Is it the same coil that is on the 1.4 engine?

1.2 12V 07 plate stalls at idle & temp limp mode after a thrashing
Helpful garage suggested either a coil, camshaft sensor or crank sensor. I am about to try & get part numbers off vehicle unless anyone can assure me of the right ones, time is of the essence, need this sorted by Friday and the sooner I get on eBay the better

1.2 12V 07 plate stalls at idle & temp limp mode after a thrashing
How does that compare to this? I mean if it is Universal I'll only need one, right? And does the Autel one save Voltages etc in an Excel file, I knd of like that with the OPCOM one I have. https://www.amazon.co.uk/WOHOOH-Universal-Readiness-Diagnostic-Language/dp/B089LWYLQP/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=autel+maxiscan+vga+405&qid=1627410028&sr=8-1

With a bit of gas, the stalling at idle doesn't happen

1.2 12V 07 plate stalls at idle & temp limp mode after a thrashing
58k on the clock (45 when we bought it last year), when idling cold or hot revs ALWAYS slowly drop within 30 seconds and cuts out. Could be because of uneven idling or uneven idling because of low revs. No EM light when still running or when restarted. Possibly unrelated, twice after hard acceleration and holding onto gears through roundabouts we've had the EM light start flashing. It's fine unless you panic and ease off the gas coz you can never get the revs up again. After a few hundred yards of crawling, light goes out and it picks up. After avoiding this set of circumstances we've successfully gone on holiday to Wales in it and it's not recurred. Any ideas and thirdly, which is a good code reader (have an OP-COM whassname for the Zafira which seems OK).

Electric windows not working
The control unit on my 2007 F1 packed up and am now using an identical s/h unit dated years earlier, 2005 I think. Just wondering how long it's got...

Electric windows gone dead
I believe you can do it but may need new door card and maybe regulator too

Converting electric to manual windows, anyone done it?
Good to know, thought it wouldn't be simple 🙄

Converting electric to manual windows, anyone done it?
I wasn't sure if the winder would reach the spindle but anyway a proper 8Y2959802 job came up for £120 recently so I thought what the hell, nearly Summer, might want windows to work (it's only been 4-5 months! Manufactured 2005 though so 2 years older than faulty one. Fingers crossed. All I needed to do was hold the key in unlock position and lock position to get the one-touch thing to work in driver's door.

Front electric windows
It's the comfort module, believe it's tucked up above the pedals under dash somewhere, sorry can't be more specific. A proper 8Y2959802 job came up for £120 recently so I thought what the hell, nearly Summer, might want windows to work (it's only been 4-5 months! Manufactured 2005 though so 2 years older than faulty one. Fingers crossed. All I needed to do was hold the key in unlock position and lock position to get the one-touch thing to work in driver's door. Loom at door hinge looked ok, fuses were ok so I just assumed it was the motor unit.

Front window issue and fuses?
That one was £90, then a proper 8Y2959802 job came up for £120 so I thought what the hell, nearly Summer, might want windows to work (it's only been 4 months without windows! Manufactured 2005 though so 2 years older than faulty one. Fingers crossed. All I needed to do was hold the key in unlock position and lock position to get the one-touch thing to work in driver's door.

2nd hand unit here too. Proper 8Y2959802 job although 2 years older than faulty one, manufactured in 2005 not 2007. Fingers crossed. All I needed to do was hold the key in unlock position and lock position to get the one-touch thing to work in driver's door.

Front window issue and fuses?
So bought a part which was supposed to be compatible but turns out to be a 6Q2 (for Mk1s up to Oct 04 I understand from him now) which had a different multiplug arrangement. I did get the big multiplug to go in (rotated 180 degrees to my original) but smaller multiplug was too big to fit in any of the 3 sockets (only one on mine) and it wasn't just the odd length protrusions stopping it. So that's been sent back. Having had door to bits, took unit off and it's predictably a 6Y2595802 SK240DDRS which doesn't seem to be available (readily or otherwise) anywhere (see attached). Another breakers says his 6Y1595802 would work. https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2005-453/9/959-959010/ states this is RH door on a LH drive VW Polo which the he has confirmed it is off (other numbers on it include VW240PDRS, 400887DHW, all different to mine as are other numbers). So would this be a safe-ish bet?

Front electric windows
Probably the electric motor/control unit (integral) which also controls passenger window. I'm finding this part on vehicles after Oct 2005 impossible to find. Anywhere.

Converting electric to manual windows, anyone done it?
Given up on finding a s/h motor unit so bought a new one for £140 but guess what turns out it's a 6Q2 not a 6Y2 although it was supposed to be compatible. It's got slightly different multiplugs (well, the big one goes in but the smaller one is too wide to go in either of the 3 multiplug sockets on the 6Q2 type (6y2 just has one big & one small socket, I'm guessing the smaller multiplug is for the passenger door). I'm loath to carve away any plastic to try and get it to fit. So has anyone converted front windows to old fashioned handle winders? Happy to go down this route now.

Sealey trim removal tool for door cards?
Don't want to keep forcing poppers off with a screwdriver but don't want to buy a £40 pro set. Looking to buy either of these, what do you lot reckon? https://www.sealey.co.uk/product/5637195084/trim-stick https://www.sealey.co.uk/product/5637195082/220mm-trim-clip-tool

Aye, will do. Thanks for your help thus far. Yeah been trying to find one of those at a reasonable price already
