  1. I also got the park distance error, no issues since the update so far. It was the Skoda assist that updated it though as it also seemed to have drained the battery.
  2. I can also confirm it's possible, I managed to lock them in the boot of my estate when I forgotten that I'd put my keys in my coat and left it in the boot. I can unlock the car via the app, but that's dependant on a mobile signal and unfortunately there wasn't one, so we also had to have the lock picked.
  3. Apologies for the late response, it was only an intermittent issue so I was waiting for my next scheduled visit to the dealership. However the issue came back and this time seemed persistent over 2 days, I had to work for the next 4 days with no need to use the car. When I came to use the car, the battery was completely flat, this has happened once before, also while there was no audio. I called out Skoda assist who have run the update so will see if this solves the issue. With regards to the audio, I do feel it sounds a little better, but possibly also slightly quieter at the same volume level? I've only been for a short drive since so far though so I haven't tried many different tracks.
  4. Thanks @axw, I guess back to the dealership for yet another software update then lol.
  5. I've faced this issue on a few occasions, I have a 2021 Mk IV with Canton, is this update still relevant do you know thanks?
  6. I've thought of doing this myself as I've always thought black would look better with the other trim. It may be a stupid question but would it need to be a special paint or would it be better just to get them powder coated?
  7. I can sympathise, mine's a 2021 plate but I've also had my fair share of software issues, though since the update to SW1941 it does seem to have mainly behaved itself, apart from an occasional unexpected restart. I also want a manual car over a DSG, I have that read that the clutches in the manuals aren't the strongest but 15k miles seems ridiculous so I hope it is another glitch. I suspect not though, it does seem to be reproducable especially when accelerating in a high gear from low rpms which I understand puts a higher load on the clutch? I'm trying to avoid doing this, but I'm very disappointed that Skoda seem to think this is an acceptable length of life for a clutch. If it does come to having to have it replaced, does anyone know if the dealers would fit a stronger clutch or would I need to go to a 3rd party for that? I don't see the point of replacing with the same part if this is likely to happen again!
  8. I 've had the error a number of times now, I'm unable to capture a picture as it only appears for a few seconds but definitely does say clutch temperature. Worryingly on one occasion it was also followed by clutch fault. Skoda dealership also couldn't find any issues.
  9. No, my car went in for checks and nothing was found, (this was after it also threw a clutch error) . Apparently the clutch error indicated the clutch had slipped, still monitoring it but worst case could be a new clutch! Not impressed as I've only done 14k miles and try not to do anything that would wear a clutch but apparently the warranty on a clutch is only 6k miles!
  10. I bought size A331H as a rear wiper replacement for my estate, it fits with no issues
  11. Mmh, yeah that's a shame as I'd also like to keep the same length 🙁. Thanks for the feedback though, I might have to try single sizes AP26U and AP19U as @inspectorman suggested, shame as it seems more expensive than buying a pair, not sure why it's so difficult to find a pair the right size! 🙂
  12. Thanks @SteveTheElder 🙂
  13. Did anyone get the Bosch A310S set for a RHD Octy? They seem to be the closest pair I can find in size to what I have fitted from the factory, but as stated above I keep getting warnings they don't fit my car! Just wanted to check before I pull the trigger.
  14. Nope, and we hadn't been doing anything that would have put any strain on the clutch either.
  15. I had a warning ping up yesterday to say my clutch temperature was high but it was OK to continue driving. I was surprised as it's a manual car and I hadn't been maneuvering or even changed gear for a few minutes. I've only heard of clutch temp warnings on DSG cars, does anyone know if manual cars have a clutch temperature sensor or is this more likely to be another software bug?
  16. I've had the no sound issue (Canton) a few times, usually the old IT adage of turning it off and on again has usually. resolved but the first time it happened it didn't and seemed to drain my battery as the next day it was dead to the point where the central locking wouldn't even work. Can't recall off-hand if it's happened since the last software update though.
  17. Very nice, I remember the good old days when I had an engine cover, I take it these don't catch fire?
  18. Nice! Does it make a notable difference to the way it drives?
  19. What remap please and what do you think of the results DutchVRS?
  20. I don't either to be fair, I've just over a year to wait for my warranty to run out anyway so hopefully any pros and cons will be better known by then.
  21. Their claims look really impressive, something I may well consider when mine's out of warrantee. It would be interesting to hear from somebody who's had this done what the results are, also how much? It would be the low torque one for me as it's manual, I seem to remember reading somewhere that the higher powered fwd Seat Leons suffer from a lot of axle tramp too, so I wonder if this would become an issue?
  22. Just had mine updated today and I can't see this using Android Auto, the welcome message for it has changed though. The startup time seems improved too, I've not had chance to test anything else yet but no errors so far.
  23. I've just had a call from my local dealership to say that there's now a fix for my headlights being set to the wrong traffic direction, so I guess this is what they're referring to? My car's going in for a service in July, so I'm having it done then, but I'm a little confused now as to why I would have to take it in for the update if it's going to be an OTA update, is the OTA update region specific?
  24. I've just been on a round trip on a motorway of about 110 miles and got 47mpg, generally though I get in the low 30's driving shorter journeys.
  25. From what I've read Golf mk8s are to be recalled for a software update, But I'm a little confused now from this article whether that will also include the more powerful SoC? Has anyone seen anything to say this will be rolled out to other brands including Octavias, which I assume are basically the same system?
