  1. Has anyone had problems with this sort of marking after rain below the door handle? It would indicate that there is something beneath the handle that when it gets rain run down it leaves stain mark. I guess I could try and get handle off or try and get dealer to take a look as car is still just in warranty which ends August next year. After a car wash it does not happen as it is dried so only appears after lots of rain...
  2. Good to know about will keep this in mind, just been digging about Oil Change vs Inspection rubbish as that has popped up on my dash... Simply not clever... VWG are really off the boil.
  3. Nice I love coconut i was wondering how you got on... I guess the GPS has to be recognised and there has to be some delay. You would think it was when the car was started but in my case I was on the ferry and perhaps the GPS was confused as I was showing up as in the water? Some VWG bod or a sub subbie working for them will know...
  4. OK on my PC now so had a quick look.. JohnD5314 made a useful list I think you should find it following the links. Hope it helps?
  5. It took a day after getting back from France last year to reset. There is a useful thread on driving in France somewhere here..
  6. Hmm interesting I have a dispute about that torch in process. The first time I used it putting it back the bracket broke. I wonder if there is a design issue?

It really beggars beliefs that Skoda had not done the sums to make a profit, but I guess senior bean counters higher up squashed it to allow other parts of group to make more money for the group. I will keep eye open for what other choices we have. Thanks Root for posting those 3 choices.

Well he is fairly canny and was doing the sums so there is a payback period, I forget all the detail but it involved some battery capacity and something with an energy provider (octopus?) to take electric at night into the batteries. I need to investigate further as being paid to store energy at night off line seems like a new way of thinking to smooth out supplies. The changes we are going to see in the near future will make us all change our approach to life.

Thanks Root, these real life insights from actual users are great and very useful for me, and I guess others. People don't like change but the world is constantly changing and people have to evolve and adapt. Electric cars are coming and we need to get used to the change of use...

The decision by Skoda does not make me inclined to spend more money with VW, KIA is the new Skoda and likely to get my money in future once I decide to change the Karoq. The wife's SEAT Leon will do until a sensible priced electric car with a reasonable range presents itself. I'm keeping an eye on Roots posts and others as electric seems to be gaining ground for those that can overnight charge. A friend has just bought a Tesla and he isn't one of the green brigade. Far from it and he is converted and espousing the cheap running costs and looking at solar panels.

Really disappointed with this news. I have spent time watching the reviews and seriously considering a Citgo-e for my wife as a local run around. As noted by some a business led choice that does not reflect the demand for the vehicle. What a waste of time and effort for those involved in the car. I guess Kia are the ones to take seriously... Will have to wait to find a decent candidate.
  12. A bit of an odd one last night went shopping upon return to car the clock had changed from 7:30pm to 12:00. Noticed it while driving that time was wrong. On reaching destination I tried to change the time but not an option so did GMT plus 1 and it found right time, so reset to GMT and all sorted. A bit odd... Not a major issue but makes you wonder what happened...
