  1. No response from SUK yet so have chased them again today. Thanks for the updates I will see if there has been any new update I think I had the 24EU update applied but it really has not made any difference IMO. It is not a major problem just a little niggle and was wondering if they had done any more on this, I guess not...
  2. Thanks for the responses I will try and get handle off to check it out - as Car is parked on main road this is a problem and the weather is not great at the moment but hope to check it out soon. Cheers
  3. I will update folk if I find out there is any new ECU update but I am not holding great hopes. I will write a formal letter saying it is not fixed to the dealer and Skoda before the Warranty expires as a marker in case of further trouble. Not that it will do any good but I am always prepared to try small claims if I think I have a case. At the moment the car works but is not smooth at start up and it was not fixed in Nov last year. The joys of being on the bleeding edge of car design...
  4. Well winter is coming and after a nearly a year after the update done on my car in Nov 2019 I am wondering if any DSG drivers are still having the jerky drive in low gears just after start? I have popped Skoda a question to see if there has been any new ECU updates for this issue. I should be on ECU version 9752 but as there is no way for me to check all I can believe is that they did it in Nov. I have been living with it but would ideally like it sorted before the warranty runs out in August next year...
  5. Has anyone had problems with this sort of marking after rain below the door handle? It would indicate that there is something beneath the handle that when it gets rain run down it leaves stain mark. I guess I could try and get handle off or try and get dealer to take a look as car is still just in warranty which ends August next year. After a car wash it does not happen as it is dried so only appears after lots of rain...
  6. Good to know about will keep this in mind, just been digging about Oil Change vs Inspection rubbish as that has popped up on my dash... Simply not clever... VWG are really off the boil.
  7. Nice I love coconut i was wondering how you got on... I guess the GPS has to be recognised and there has to be some delay. You would think it was when the car was started but in my case I was on the ferry and perhaps the GPS was confused as I was showing up as in the water? Some VWG bod or a sub subbie working for them will know...
  8. OK on my PC now so had a quick look.. JohnD5314 made a useful list I think you should find it following the links. Hope it helps?
  9. It took a day after getting back from France last year to reset. There is a useful thread on driving in France somewhere here..
  10. Hmm interesting I have a dispute about that torch in process. The first time I used it putting it back the bracket broke. I wonder if there is a design issue?

    Citigo Electric

It really beggars beliefs that Skoda had not done the sums to make a profit, but I guess senior bean counters higher up squashed it to allow other parts of group to make more money for the group. I will keep eye open for what other choices we have. Thanks Root for posting those 3 choices.

    Citigo Electric

Well he is fairly canny and was doing the sums so there is a payback period, I forget all the detail but it involved some battery capacity and something with an energy provider (octopus?) to take electric at night into the batteries. I need to investigate further as being paid to store energy at night off line seems like a new way of thinking to smooth out supplies. The changes we are going to see in the near future will make us all change our approach to life.

    Citigo Electric

Thanks Root, these real life insights from actual users are great and very useful for me, and I guess others. People don't like change but the world is constantly changing and people have to evolve and adapt. Electric cars are coming and we need to get used to the change of use...

    Citigo Electric

The decision by Skoda does not make me inclined to spend more money with VW, KIA is the new Skoda and likely to get my money in future once I decide to change the Karoq. The wife's SEAT Leon will do until a sensible priced electric car with a reasonable range presents itself. I'm keeping an eye on Roots posts and others as electric seems to be gaining ground for those that can overnight charge. A friend has just bought a Tesla and he isn't one of the green brigade. Far from it and he is converted and espousing the cheap running costs and looking at solar panels.

    Citigo Electric

Really disappointed with this news. I have spent time watching the reviews and seriously considering a Citgo-e for my wife as a local run around. As noted by some a business led choice that does not reflect the demand for the vehicle. What a waste of time and effort for those involved in the car. I guess Kia are the ones to take seriously... Will have to wait to find a decent candidate.
  16. I did one once for the Karoq but it was immediately after buying the car, a bit of rubbish really as I would fill it in differently now after 2 years ownership.

    Citigo Electric

Hi please keep these posts coming as I am looking at an electric car for wife's next one and the citgo is a possibility if they are being made at a reasonable rate.
  18. OK so i went to the tip and I noticed mine do this without cruise on. I guess I have never really paid attention to it. I did when using traffic Assist as was nervous about handing brake control to the car... So yes mine does the same.
  19. I think that the feature is only engaged when on cruise control. It is designed for low speed usage, as you say might be less useful with manual gearbox?
  20. A super feature I spec'd for my car it will keep you moving in stop start traffic. If you are stationery too long it will stop engine and restart when car infront moves, you hear this if you are not paying attention and then a gentle dab of accelerator gets you moving again. Great for the motorway jams you invariably get in the UK.

    Sound Disabled?

Thanks I only have radio 2 set up I will get some others set up to the check if it happens again.

    Sound Disabled?

I found that button in my 5 minute stop and it showed a different icon showing sound disabled, switching it on and off did not solve the issue. The volume symbol had a red line through it on left of display. The mute shows a symbol top middle of the display. I should have videotaped the problem, will do next time...
  23. So I have just got back from my weekly shop to Aldi and on the way there Radio all hunky dory but when I get in the car to come home after my first face Mask shop the radio won't play! It has a red line through the volume control. I pull over on way home and spend five minutes looking at options to see if I have disabled it, but no joy. I get home and have a google and find the 10 second press button down to reboot so I pop out to try it and radio and sound all good again!!! The gremlins are a tad annoying with this car... Anyway another item to watch before warranty runs out next year... Anyone else have the problem? I will try the 10 second hold start button (volume control) to re-set to see if that can cure it when (if) it happens again.... I even trawled the manual but that is like trawling treacle not particularly quick or useful.
  24. Glad you did not get charged and they could confirm the noise. Hopefully nothing serious for the future.
  25. Hi just listen to it and can't really make out anything untoward. I hear a squeak but wondering if that is just cabin noise. Good luck with the test tomorrow.
