  1. Hello! Very useful! You have made a big job when collecting all that data into one place.
  2. Hello Louise! Cold here also, -6 degrees celsius so not so interested to go out to do any car repairs Sorry I don't have any photographs to show details. The biggest problem indeed was taking the hard plastic cover off in the inside of rear bonnet, it required a little bit force. The rest of work is then quite well observed. Good luck! Pasi
  3. Hi, Louise! Mine is 2011 Octavia 2 1.6 MPi. My rear wiper stopped to work almost immediately I bought the car. Sometimes worked a little but stopped then in the middle of the window. I was about to buy a new wiper motor but I took a closer look at it before that. I took the motor cover off and realised that there is a small circuit board or connecting point where the motor wires are soldered. The soldering had cracks and after resoldering wiper has been working now about two years. I think repeated impacts when closing the rear bonnet are resulting the cracks. So if you or your friend have such of skills and interest to do I recommend to check that before buying a new one. Another opinion: the cheapest aftermarket motor costs a little bit under 60 euros so it's your choice. Hope you find a solution to your problem! Cheers Pasi
  4. Hi! I'm talking about front parking light lamp bulbs located under the upper part of head light lenses. Second of them went down so I was thinking would it be possible to change those with led versions or will it light up warning light in dashboard?
  5. Hi! I think your battery change don't require any coding. For example in my 2011 Octavia battery change went through without any coding, I even changed a battery with bigger capacity. That, I know, is problem with some brands on newer models.
  6. Hi! I have to remove steering wheel airbag because of changing wiper/light stalks. The procedure to do that is quite clear but battery reconnecting is confusing me a little bit. That's because Skoda Octavia's workshop manual says to reconnect battery with ignition ON after working with airbags or safety belt tightening system. Sounds a little bit harsh but manual says it's the right way. What's your opinion, have you done that with the same way?
