  1. With Lane Keeping along with other tech becoming mandatory for all new cars next year and all existing models by 2024 I don't see much scope that they'll change the tests to remove it. If anything the default On technology will expand in the coming years.
  2. It's now part of Euro NCAP ratings for Lane Assist that the Emergency Lane Keeping is enabled by default at start https://cdn.euroncap.com/media/53156/euro-ncap-assessment-protocol-sa-v902.pdf 6.2 Definitions Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) – default ON heading correction that is applied automatically by the vehicle in response to the detection of the vehicle that is about to drift beyond the edge of the road or into oncoming or overtaking traffic in the adjacent lane. Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) – heading correction that is applied automatically by the vehicle in response to the detection of the vehicle that is about to drift beyond a delineated edge line of the current travel lane. Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – a warning that is provided automatically by the vehicle in response to the vehicle that is about to drift beyond a delineated edge line of the current travel lane. 6.3.3 Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) From 2020 onwards, to be eligible for scoring points in ELK, the ELK part of the LSS system needs to be default ON at the start of every journey and deactivation of the system should not be possible with a momentary single push on a button.
  3. There are also some deletions within the spec. Main one I'm aware of is the current SE L models have Blind Spot monitoring as a paid extra, whereas it was standard till around November 2020 I think.
  4. The date on my engine is 17/09/2020
  5. I've got the new two spoke wheel too which I understood to be part of the MY21 build?
  6. Attached is picture from my Kamiq with a manual gearbox. It's a MY21 and 70 plate as I've got a the boot light or the cooled glove box. Maybe it's the DSG that affects the engine layout? That should have been I've not got the boot light!
  7. It looks more like an Octavia as it's like one of the pictures on this website (not the first engine pic) https://autorai.nl/autotest-skoda-octavia-e-tec-mild-hybrid-2020/
  8. The air intake vents for the cabin and the washer nozzles are also different in the picture of your car, and there doesn't seem to be the bonnet catch handle dip near the front either. So it's more than just the engine configuration?
  9. OK thanks. Please post back if the replacement fixes it. In the meantime I guess I have to try and persuade a local Skoda dealer to help with mine.
  10. Can I ask what was the outcome? I've just bought a 70 plate Kamiq as a used Skoda via an approved dealer, and have discovered that I've got the same issue when the car is cold. After reading the comments here I made a vide of the problem, and have highlighted it back to the dealership, but with the current lockdown I don't think I've got many options until the weather gets warmer and the issue 'solves' itself till the autumn!
