  1. Any idea how to permanently turn off interior monitoring? Adaptation or coding. Whenever I switch it OFF in the infotainment system it will be ON again after unlocking/locking the car. Thank you
  2. My services started working again yesterday. Nothing has been done to the car. Globe and car with key icon are back. Even menu option is back. All is working fine now. *confused*
  3. Hi, I have a problem with my online connect services. It totally disappeared from my infotainment unit. Superb 2017, touch unit, base spec. There is no globe in the upper part, no option in settings. It seems like there is totally no connection, not even trace of it in the system. Like it was not there to begin with. It happened on Monday when I was washing/polishing the car. When using the app it says my car is open and at totally different location. It logged the last position where it was working. I deleted my car from services. I have restarted (pushed the button for 10 or more seconds) infotainment unit. And nothing happened. It was working fine for over a year, no issues. Online services are paid for another year. any ideas? Thank you.
  4. I had similar issue where I always had a condesation and fogging issues. Took it to the service and they discovered that the humidity sensor was broken. It got replaced under the warranty.
  5. Hi, I am looking for an advice on DRLs. There is a new law in the UK that forbids swapping halogen bulbs for LED lights in the headlights (basically if your car came with halogen bulbs you are not allowed to swap them to LEDs as this would cause MOT fail). I am not sure if this only applies to dipped and high beam. Or if it does include DRL as it is part of the headlamp. I dislike the yellow-ish colour of the DRLs, but I can not find any suitable halogen alternative to the PW16W that is present from the factory. All “cooler” colour options with are LED only. Thank you for the help.
  6. I believe you can just take out the cover “glass”. No need to take it all apart. Use some some flat tool to pop it off, it has few small clips.
  7. I had to restart the infotainment. Just press and hold on/off button. It will switch off and then starts up again after few seconds.
  8. Hi, Anyone in here has experience with this kit from Aliexpress? https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMbBL1V It seems like an elegant solution. Powered from rain sensor. Only info I found is in Czech Skoda forum https://forum.skodahome.cz/topic/140959-kamera-do-superba-iii/page/5/#comments What are your thoughts? Thanks
  9. Would that work on my 17 plate? SE trim I have the media unit with touch sensitivity, but not Nav. Also regular sound system. Thanks! (I have OBD11 but I can do long coding there)
  10. I do not understand why people have problem with DLRs. It improves safety. You cant see it from the car anyway. I wish it was a law and also the scandinavian lights too. So many poeple dont have lights on even in rain, early mornings/evenings.
  11. Can you tell me where they have them? Even the smaller sizes. Thank you.
  12. Thank you for the offer, but I am more interested in the silver/black version. I dont think that the original gold red would be nice on my cappuccino beige
  13. Very nice indeed! Can you share where did you buy the one on the steering wheel? Would love it as a front and rear badge
  14. Great news! I had a call from sales manager this morning. He was very polite and apologized several times for all the troubles. He said they will collect the car, repair everything and provide me with a temporary car in the meanwhile. I am going to inspect the car more thoroughly after work and take pictures of any other damage or imperfections. But I also understand it is used car, so some things are be expected. I will update you once the work has been done. Thanks to everyone for their help and advise.
  15. If you have a metal caps I would advise to use vaseline or similar product so it would not seize. It is pain to get them off 😅
  16. Here is my google review. Maybe that will get some attention. https://g.co/kgs/QHpfML
  17. Registered in Scotland. Only 1 previous owner. Some company leased the car for 3 years. It was sold and taken care of exclusively by Thomson and Potter.
  18. 27k Miles, registered 07/2017. I went to Skoda dealer as I thought there would be some guarantee of great service. I don't have experience in buying cars (this is my second car). And because of the current situation I did not want to buy from some independent small reseller. I sent email complaint to the dealership, John Clark group and Chris Clark (CEO). Problem is that I dont think I can have my old car back. I am fine if they repair and repaint properly. I like the car. It just the bad customer service :(
  19. I would like to ask one more thing. There were some other “imperfections” as well, when taking the car. Chrome trim on handbrake was peeled and passenger seatbelt webbing is damaged. Should those be repaired before the sale if it is Skoda Approved? I took few more photos of the side+repaint
  20. I used contact us form- complaint- on John Clark websites just now. Pasted there my review. Thanks again for the advice.
  21. Hm. Maybe you are correct. I will drop them email on Monday, but I do not expect much tbh. Thanks.
  22. Yes. It is used Skoda approved. My last exchange was when the windscreen sensor got repaired. And I am not sure, if there is a point in talking to them when it is over 14 days since I got the car and it is partly my fault for not inspecting it properly 🙁
  23. They collected the car and repaired it. It is fine now. True, they said they use some specialst to do the windscreens.
  24. I have recently purchased Skoda Superb 2017 from Thomson and Potter in Perth, Scotland. Due to COVID-19 most of the dealing and communication was done online. I expressed my interest in the used car and promptly got a response with personalised video presentation from salesman Alan. I liked the car; we made a deal (part exchange) and I paid for the car. So far so good. But it went downhill after that. On the collection date, I was informed that my sales rep was not present even though we had agreed on certain time. I handed my old car keys, documents and old car and I was given keys from my new car. At that point I was informed that they discovered there is a broken windscreen on the car and that it will be repaired in the near future. Apart from that, I was promised a spare wheel and car mats. Both of which were missing. There was no handover inspection, no document signing. Basically nothing. Just ‘here are your keys and you can go’. Over two weeks later I got a call and had the windscreen replacement arranged. Car got collected and windscreen was changed. Badly. It was dirty with glue residue and middle sensor panel was not done correctly. After finding out about the issues I contacted the sales rep who had the car collected again and it had been repaired and delivered back to me. They did not refuel the petrol used, but I got my promised spare wheel and car mats (some minor issue where they kept my mats and provided me with theirs…) as promised so I was not bothered. And just today, when I washed the car, I discovered damage across both the drivers and rear passengers’ doors and right-side skirt. Deep long ‘dent’ in the skirt. The bottom of the doors had been repainted but the paint is a poor match to the rest of the bodywork. I had asked if there was any damage on the car when buying and been told there was none. Which is obviously a lie. At this point I would return the car if it was not for the fact that it is over 14 days from collecting it. Up to the point-of-sale Thomson and Potter seemed like a very good dealer. As it is, with all that has happened I have to advise NOT to use Thomson and Potter. I chose them with some expectations as an authorised dealer and was left disappointed and frustrated. Instead of having great experience, I am left with a bitter taste.
  25. Where I can find what futures does it unlock? Thank you.
