  1. Yes, search the forum you need an update. A member on here can send you the file and you can do it yourself.
  2. Stage 1 remap is a total no brainer and I don’t regret it at all. Got the same car/engine as you and used super chips (they come to you): www.superchips.co.uk for a stage 1 you don’t need to go onto a dyno. Everything else on my car is stock. Definitely feel the difference. If you drive normal then you also get slightly better mpg! don’t forget to tell insurance. Doesn’t add much.
  3. I definitely get 3-5mpg more and smoother engine running with E5 (Esso, Shell, BP) on a 1.0 Stage 1 remapped Fabia MKIII estate. I probably fuel it 66% of the time with E5 if I can. Not sure if it has real-world performance effect on such a banger but I haven't put it on a dyno with E5/E10 to compare.
  4. That's interesting, as my wife and I were both on Three UK network. I have recently switched to Talkmobile, which I think is Vodafone. Worth a try!
  5. To add, I know that when my iPhone is plugged in and using CarPlay, the car uses the phones microphone, which is why they can’t hear me. So weird.
  6. No and I’m also baffled by this. I can use Bluetooth to make calls and people can hear me. If I use wired CarPlay they can’t hear me when I initiate the call but they can hear me when they call me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  7. I'm often travelling to Europe with my MK3 Fabia (yes I know this is the MK2 forum) and was looking at my head lamps from the back to see whether I had that little switch so I don't have to use tape/stickers every time, which don't work that well. But I can't seem to find them on my car? Maybe the MK3 are different? I can't change the setting from within the car settings so I definitely don't have the ones where you can change them from inside the car settings (travel mode I think it's called). Can anyone help me find out whether the little lever is present in the MK3 as well?
  8. Thanks mate! Will check it out and report back if the 2019 has it for other users who might be wondering.
  9. So sorry to dig out such an old threat. I have a Fabia Estate reg plate 2019 and was wondering if anyone could re-upload the picture as I can't see it and would like to know if I can do it as I often travel to Europe and the stickers are ****e at best. Thank you!
  10. I finally was able to get my software updated at the dealer. Apparently there is now a “TPI” out at Skoda so they are aware of the error. Software has been updated to 8755 and it’s now working perfectly.
  11. The software update from October 2020 fixes it so the technical enquiry response is *******s.
  12. It seems there is an firmware update October 2020 that resolves the issue: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251814524?answerId=254816363022&replyId=254816363022 I haven't had the chance to go to the dealer as they want the car for the day and cannot offer pick up/courtesy car so I will have to wait until lockdown is over. Very glad to hear that it has fixed it for you, there is end at the light of the tunnel!
  13. Just stumbled over this, might help someone – way above my understanding though but it seems to have all the new firmwares as downloads:
  14. Great, thanks. Pretty much same as me then! London by any chance?
  15. That's very interesting to hear. Did they charge you for the update? I've still got warranty on the car but I'd imagine this isn't down to warranty?
  16. Will update here once I've had the chance to go to the dealer. I'm hesitant going during Covid for a fairly trivial matter and my first service isn't for a while... There has got to be a link to a firmware server to download directly...
  17. I'm sorry to dig out such an old topic but I've literally only joined because I have the exact same issue. CarPlay music playback stutters after 2-3 minutes. It works totally fine via Bluetooth so it is not the phone. Tried different cables etc, etc... Then I found this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251814524?answerId=251814524021#251814524021 Apparently there was an update in October 2020 for the head unit, which has resolved the problem for the user (see link above). That link has tons of other users with exactly the same problem as I have. I will go and visit my dealer to check if there is an update but I wanted to ask first – how comes there isn't the option to install these updates at home via USB/SD card? It seems ridiculous in this day and age!
