  7. that's interesting because there is an se tech superb on a 20 plate with 9k mileage for £20,900 its in rrg skoda bolton, its alot more than i want to pay but atleast its got 2 years warranty left, rather than 3 months warranty which is what the 17 plate i was going to see this week, its all about peace of mind with me3 months warranty is crap really, but that bolton car has leather seats and look light some kind of upgraded lights have a look for me and let me know what you think? i might be able to get it for £19,800.

  13. that 50-75 will be the 1.8 because the 2.0 is around 45-55 in real world driving , i nearly bought the estate in silver ,cracker looking and as smooth as silk the drive, but it was murder getting in an out and i am only 5ft 10, and 12 stone but i am 60 now hahaha, not as flexible shall we say.

  15. so if i test drive another car with a knackered dsg in the next 4 weeks that can't be just bad luck right?
  16. i suppose they sell hundreds of thousands of this gearbox configuration in europe alone so a few duds is nothing IS IT ?
  17. so i suppose its down to what we did when we went the auctions years ago and check how worn the steering wheel is and have a good look at the driver's seat for wear.
  18. hi mate i bought a superb 67 plate 2.0 150ps auto diesel with 36k on the clock, and on the drive home i had a message pop up "gearbox error ok to drive" so i turned around and brought it back, they booked it into skoda northampton and after 3 days told the garage i bought it off that it was a mechatronic issue, so i told them i wanted a refund which they did with no problem, and skoda done the work for free even tho it was out of warranty, so i am still looking for a car 4 weeks later, so thats my mechatronic story mate good luck sorting it...michael.
