Two weeks off the swimming and feel as if I'm back at square one. I've also got a sore arm from having my booster jag on Saturday so was just taking it easy. Managed a nice 18 for now. Just time to work my way back again.

Okay so I've been a bit of a dunderheid. I've left the spare key for the Fabia somewhere so am thinking about getting one cut as a backup. Where should I go? Timpsons seem like the logical choice unless there's somewhere else (especially near or in Ayr). Well, that's if they do that sort of thing. Also, can it be a "dumb" key or will it need coded to the car since the Fab has an immobiliser? Original spare was one with a remote locking doowhacky if that's any use. Cheers.

I keep one in the spare wheel well besides the tyre. Quite good IMO. Clutch seems okay on mine, sitting at just shy of 60k.

Which engine have you got in yours? I've got the 1.2 12v in my hatchback Fabia. Good wee cars to work on IMO.

I don't know if I've posted this one before, but here's one from a few years back.

This is in the wrong section, with that being a MKIII Fabia. However, I've mentioned @john999boy to see if he'll shift this into the right section for you.

Backing DM here, wondering if the sound deadening is worth it as it would be rather nice to cut down the racket.

Radio communicates with the ECU IIRC, if codes match, they work straight away. To get the radio code, see a dealer or an eBay person who can sort that for you.

Buy one with the code supplied. Otherwise you'll have to see a dealer or someone who is able to get the code from the stereo. I don't know your location (which you can add at the tab at the side, for other people's sake) so I can't say if local dealers will be able to help etc.

As the great IT techs said... to some degree. Unplug it, leave it sit, plug it back in. Basically the equivalent of turning it off and on again, but with more force.

Indeed! I'm a big Runrig fan, with that being one of my favourite albums. I went to see them a few years back at the last concert up in Stirling.

Turns out the free web hosting I've been using for ages won't take the earlier manuals due to them being over the single time 20MB file upload limit with my free web hosting account. May have to link them elsewhere on the same web page. EDIT - got it sorted. Used Google Drive but left hyperlinks on my original page.

Managed to source 08/2003 (which, weirdly, is the one that came with my 2006 Fabia), 08/2004, 05/2005, 05/2007 as well. Adding them to the site now.
