Haha definitely! Glad to see you're back on, by the way.

Screen De-Mist
Fiat Grande Punto we had was bad for fogging. As was our Auris. The latter had a damn fine air conditioning system so it was gone in seconds. The Punto? Not so much, 3-5 working days was optimistic for demisting.

AnnoyingPentium's Return Dive into Swimming... and other 'elf stuff
Gave it another go tonight. 30 lengths which suits me fine. Set my quickest at about 25 seconds, at least counting in my head. Beats the 36 seconds I used to do it in as well. Overall quite pleased though!

Fabia Monte Carlo
25k for a small car appeals to me about as much as a broken nose. The new Dacia Sandero, albeit less "sporty" looks more like a good brand new choice, IMO.

I've got a blocked drain in mine too, so the water takes longer to come out the drivers door. However, since I took the dogs blanket out it has stopped freezing the windscreen on the inside.

My mind says fabric would retain moisture. However, you've got carpet, floor mats, headlining, and cloth seats that'll retain moisture in that case. Which means you either make a Fabia out of rocks like some sort of Fred Flintstone car or you just live with it IMO.

Glad to have been of help.

dance radio not reading my cds
Yes. They shouldn't cost too much on Amazon.

dance radio not reading my cds
A standard 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio jack will do if it has a built in headphone socket. Otherwise a USB-C to 3.5mm adaptor and the cable can be used. I have one which I also use for my laptop as well since I can control the music through the headphones, Amazon will sell them cheaply, mine is branded a 'UGREEN'. In terms of adding music to the phone, you'll need to use your computer. If you're unsure then there'll be guides on the Internet that will explain how to do such a thing. Hope this helps.

AnnoyingPentium's 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente-ish
Should have bought a later Classic, Lee. You'd have got it standard!

Hello
My Mum and I watched it from time to time. Definitely rather good!

AnnoyingPentium's 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente-ish
Definitely, my Granda gave us a lift up in the Sandero, so wasn't all bad. I got a car out of it too, and it had working air conditioning at that point!

AnnoyingPentium's 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente-ish
Just touching on 50 miles, Lee, located beside the racecourse in Hamilton. Involved going through East Kilbride and a matter of other places with more roundabouts per head than any other county in Scotland. On the way back down it was quite easy, M8 through Glasgow then M77 back through Ayr, much to my Mum's delight as she was driving and didn't want to be dragged through Glasgow. However, it was the best I was getting for the budget which also had to cover insurance, tax, and maintenance until I started University that September. I had £2,500 set aside, so I spent £1,495 on the car, and then the rest on keeping it running and no more.

Hello from Staffordshire.
Looks like a good story for maybe even the project threads? Welcome to the forums, @CeeBee2001.

Hello
Hello and welcome to Briskoda! Loving the username, I presume that's a reference to James Spader's character in 'The Blacklist'?

What happens if you charge a car with a '7kw on board charger', from a domestic 13 amp supply?
BMW should rebrand the Mini to the Oxymoron.

AnnoyingPentium's 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente-ish
A year ago today I bought the car for the princely sum of £1,495... which looking back was a bargain considering the way the used car market has went.

spare wheel psi?
Mine lives in its respective well in the boot of the car and stays there since the last time I got a flat tyre I was quite a few miles from the house. Plus I've got four spares in the shed anyway from when the Bohemia alloys went on.
-
spare wheel psi?
Aye, but sod's law dictates that you'd take the thing out the boot, throw it in the shed, and end up with a nail through one of the tyres on the car when you're away from the house.

spare wheel psi?
My spare is dated 2006 IIRC. Used it once when my one of my alloys decided to give a big FU to me and deflated itself. No, I didn't spontaneously combust. No, no nuns were bonnet ornaments. And no, the hedge and I didn't become well-acquainted. If the age thing is of a concern, then make the choice not to use it. Free country (allegedly, that's a discussion for another thread though) so no-one is going to burn you at the stake like the 17th century witch trials in Salem for a 15ish year old tyre. The OP has solved their own problem, and I'm no expert, but doesn't that signify the end of the thread? EDIT: I do think if the tyre is visually f****d or definitely getting past its best then it's not right to use it, from a safety aspect at least. Once again, personal and moral choice, however. Apologies if it comes across as if I'm having a go by the way, that's not the intention.

Recent pics of your fabia for no reason, just stick em up!

Very true. Means I could one up my neighbour's caravan on the driveway then.
