Updated again but still didn't work. Anyone know what's involved in updating infotainment system it sounds a bit scary.....

The main dealer threw in a 3rd party Towbar when i bought my 2020 190 spotline. It's not coded or integrated to the wiring so my parents sensors go off and my neck is sore after the crash protection activates when reversing. The Towbar company says they can integrated and code this now for £225 but it wasn't available 2021. Has anyone had any experience of this? I'm a bit dubious of allowing a 3rd party do this and should have insisted on an oem towbar from the start. Any help greatly appreciated

Hi, I'm having trouble getting my new CARPLAY2air adapter to work. Waze is delayed in the car screen and the infotainment reboots after 5 minutes or so. Had anyone tried this or another adapter? How might i go about updating the infotainment to make sure it's in the right version. I've done Columbus maps before successfully. I did try searching the forum.....

Hi When i bought this car i asked the dealer for a towbar thrown in. He died they don't for the sides ones but use a local company that I'm familiar with. All good and Towbar fitted until i tried using it. The parking sensors and worse still emergency brake keep going off in reverse. Yes i know i should be turning them off each and every time i reverse..... In hindsight i should have demanded a properly installed towbar of whatever make. Has anyone any advice based on past experience? Can i get this one coded in? Is there some way way to turn off the sensors and emergency braking? TIA and Merry Yuletide Peter

Hi, Has anyone managed to get these to fit and without damaging the alloy rims or fouling suspension, brakes etc. I want to go to a ski resort 1400m altitude in France end feb. I have snow sucks.

Are these hard to access & repair? It's 2014 but only 23000 miles so on good nick.

Hi I'm sure this used to work but now has stopped. Does anyone have the definitive answer? I RTFM and it doesn't tell me if i have this feature or not but it does explain it. If i enter the car with the other key it doesn't recognise that user. Even if i manually assign the user on the steering wheel knob, the seat doesn't move. If i use the seat memory manually it does work every time. I've googled until I'm blue in the face.

Hi folks Any ideas? I thought this was a flat battery but this has been replaced. Sounds like a big relay or solenoid clicking. No other ill effects. Pretty sure it's under left off dash or under bonnet. Can't get it to do it for long enough to get out and check it. TIA

Hi I frequently park next to a windy beach. I just had a look under the bonnet to change the air filter. I found sricky sand inside (safe side!) I hoovered and wiped this out as best i could. And in the engine bay. Some of the aluminium components are starting to show surface corrosion and i can see it won't be long before the ferrous parts go the same way. Does anyone have any recommendations for gently safely cleaning the engine compartment? I thought i heard they were coated to prevent corrosion so don't wash them with solvents. Naturally I'm also worried about the electrics.....

Apparently it's not just the noise weight but the turning moment on the tow ball. So x kg y mm from the ball. Hi I want to fit a 2-4 bike thule , witter etc bike rack on to my main dealer paid for but 3rd party swan neck fixed towbar. Any idea how i would find out the max nose weight and centre of gravity distance from the towball allowed? TIA

Yes i could do it myself but can't be bothered any more and don't fancy arguing with them about the warranty being invalid even if using genuine Skoda parts. I also want the book stamped Hence my post asking about brake pad thickness so i can say they don't need replacing. Thanks for the detailed service schedule.

Hi about to get a oil change and inspection and I'm just waiting for those upsell 80% worn brake pads pollen filter Air filter calls.... Does anyone know what the new and minimum pad thicknesses are? Where's the best place to buy genuine Skoda filters from so they don't see I've done it. Also is there a brake pad wear indicator alarm? TIA you helpful people
