Hi experts! When at traffic lights etc. I would like to leave my DSG in neutral. This was recommended on this site to prevent expensive DSG gearbox wear (is this true?). However i can't see how to do this with the auto parking brake. I think i can use the manual brake then slide to neutral but it's a faff.

Hi, I just bought this car as i couldn't find any so called premium brands with 3l plus petrol engines and i really like it (surprised?) So do any experts have any tips for longevity. The DSG worries me as do the numerous electronics and the discs are already looking a bit worn after 12000m as a ex dealer demo/runabout. How about the heavily sold dealer warranty at year 3-4? Does it have more holes than an Emmenthal cheese....? TIA from a Bristolian new Skoda fan. Gert Lush me babber.

Hi My free month of Skoda connect has expired and i didn't get chance to find a WiFi signal strong enough to chance an update of 600MB. Have any of you experts done this?. It mentions using 64GB SD card as no Connect in the update menu. Maybe best left to the main dealer to do (bork) especially if included in warranty....he says optimistically....

Ha I timed out finding something and bought a 21 Superb 190 sportline DSG petrol hatch ...19" wheels which are a bit choppy on bad surfaces but the overall comfort and drive of the car is fantastic for a 6'4" driver and especially passengers. Thanks for all the info I'll look into buying used wheels perhaps to also preserve the vulnerable 19s where the tyres don't protect the wheels very well.

I was looking at VRS TSI estate manual with Dynamic Suspension Control with 18" wheels for comfort due to a bad back. Now a couple of weeks later it seems only 19" are available. My options seem to be buy second hand or swap out the wheels and tyres (if they fit) grrrr. 19" is a deal breaker. Would anyone buy the wheels to upgrade, assuming I can swap I would even fit 17" if they would clear the brake calipers? Here's hoping someone can help. Living in NI makes for limited choice of dealers/brokers.
