  1. Thank you! I saw this set mentioned before. Will look into it, but I also want to go to a car hi-fi shop in my area to see what they can do for me.
  2. Lol, I understand the confusion on me having Canton or not. Should have checked better because my sub is delivered today but it seems I don't have Canton 😅. I always thought I did have it because of the center speaker under the windshield. Can someone tell me what my options are now? I'm thinking these: 1. Connect the Audi sub only to original audio system? Is this possible? I know I have the space for it in the back but what needs to be done to get it working on the default audio system? Pull power and speaker cables from front to back? 2. Connect Audi sub and replace front windshield, tweeters and door speakers? I think I will also need an amplifier to handle it all? 3. Get a custom sound system build in. I like a bit of oomph but I'm not really an audiophile so not keen on spending 1k+ on it. My preference would be option 1 or 2 and have it done at my local car shop which has helped me out for honourable prices before. Can someone tell me if that is possible and what I would need to by and do to get it working? And yes..... you can all laugh at me for not checking it properly before buying the Audi subwoofer. I did too haha 😂
  3. Wow guys! What a gem the Audi sub swap is promising to be. Read the possibility for this easy swap and quality upgrade. I found a used A5 sub and bought it for 50 euros, 60 including sending it to me. Should arrive in 1 or 2 days and I can’t wait to try it out. I have a 2021 VRS station/estate, with room for a full spare, at least I think it it. There’s never been an actual spare in it. Hopefully the swap will be easy as I’m not the brightest tool in the shed when it comes to construction and/or electronics. can somebody make a picture or show an example of my seemingly only step I need to make my self? Aka the thread and bolt? Much appreciated. Will post the results after the swap. This also made me think…. Aren’t other VAG speakers available which deliver better quality and are as easy to swap for the door, dash and tweeter speakers? Would love to hear what’s possible there? anyways, thanks again for sharing this. Will share my experience after swapping the sub!
  4. Never mind, found the files and was able to update. The animations and navigation sure do feel faster. I like it. Hopefully also the end of reboots and the last few errors although I only had them occasionally.
  5. If someone can send the 1941 update for my Skoda Octavia VRS which is currently on 1986 and had the "traffic assist fix" done by my dealer that would be great. Would love to have this update and solve the last few errors I still have with infotainment. Thanks!
  6. Thanks! Will try tomorrow and let you know if I was able to download. Otherwise i’ll send you a link of my own server.
  7. Where did you find the link for the zip files? I can't find it on the phonostar.de website and the link you have posted of the v1.31.40 version doesn't work...
  8. Same here. I went to my dealer last week to temporarily disable lane assist and crash detection and to be listed for a new steering wheel. When I picked my car up at the end of the day it was exactly the same story: "We have installed a software update and we are confident all errors are gone without disabling any of the features". I have been driving without annoying beeps and lights since. The only thing that annoying now is the occasional reboots of the entertainment system.
  9. My dealer does nothing until I leave a 1 star google review. After posting the review the dealer called me within 2 hours to ask what needed to be done for me to remove the review….. very sad.
  10. I was thinking it might be the same exhaust system but no opf filter. I think opf is not mandatory in all countries.
  11. I'm also very interested to find out if this OEM exhaust is available to buy in Europe.
  12. I have had this warning last year when I was driving back from Austria (to Holland). Not nice to see this, when you still have 600km to go ...... I pulled over at the the next possible parking on the highway, read all sensors with OBDEleven. Saw nothing strange and reset it myself. Although I still have a million errors daily, this one has never been back. What bothers me is that I still don;t know what the actual issue was or what event triggered it. My car is also the VRS 2.0 tsi and I have the DSG transmission. Could you post it here if you ever find out? Thanks! Edit: i'm talking about the drivetrain error. Never had the Auto Hold error as far as I know.
  13. Yes thats weird. It should be in the system menu. What does your Skoda dealer say about this? Maybe they need to enable/code the feature before it can be used? '
  14. It might be true you have to connect carplay the first time using a wired connection but i'm using it wireless for a few months without problems. You must enable the in car hot-spot via the system settings. Connect your phone to the car hot-spot and voila: wireless carplay.
  15. You should have a look at the Xiaomi 70 mai dashcams. Very well built. Great value for money. I’m on my second device now. I currently have 800s which might be to fancy for you. The 1080p version is about 90 euro or less. I love the video it records, also during night time.
  16. Hi Briskoda members, Since a couple of weeks I am the proud owner of a brand new Skoda Octavia Combi vRS 2.0 TSi. I haven been very happy with the car so far. I'm from the Netherlands, where this version of the Octavia Combi isn't sold at Skoda dealers. I was happy to hear a Skoda dealer from Rotterdam ordered two cars direct from the factory. I could have registered before because we own a Skoda Citigo for over 6 years already. Incredible how much bang for your buck with that little car. We are looking for a replacement for the Citigo though. Before my octavia I have driven a 15-year old Audi A6 4.2 V8 and before that a 2014 BMW 320d. So I guess the Skoda Octavia Combi is a nice addition to the list of fast (german-ish) estate cars. I have been reading quite a lot already on this forum and hope to do so in the future. Thank you for any advice and help. Hope I might be able to return the favor. Cheers!
  17. Did you find it? I think it should be somewhere on the front side on the bottom of the engine. Sometimes you nee to remove the floor (flom below the car) a bit to be able to reach it.
