  1. scratch that, I've figured it out. I've used the bosch rubber in the OEM blade, got a refund for the broken one too!
  2. any tips on how to do this, I've been really unlucky and received completely broken amazon returned A335H, but the clip is broken. The rubber seems ok, so happy to try and salvage and replace the OEM rubber.
  3. What alloys do you have on? Having bought a second hand sportline 2.5 years old and 6k on the clock, I can see signs of minor damage where the aero inserts were sat, as dirt and grime built up between them and the wheel. I you plan on keeping the car, or care, I’d keep them off!
  4. Even with OEM struts I’ve not known it actually lift the bonnet after unlatching, there has always been a need to gently lift, it just meant it’s held in place by the struts rather than latching up the stay.
  5. Mine opens well once you give it it a minor push, but it doesn't really feel much different to the OEM ones that were on my Superb. In terms of the original stay, its open slightly less than that, but no real access issues with it like that. I raised the missing bolts issue to Ali Express and they processed a refund for the full amount. 😆
  6. I had some lying around from when we had some hard flooring done, its for the bottom of chairs/tables etc, only cut a small square for near the edge.
  7. My father in law came to the rescue with some nylock bolts. Finally managed to fit them. I noticed the brackets that bolted to the bonnet were quite sharp, so I added some adhesive felt to the back of them before I bolted them on.
  8. What size nuts are they? My father I. Law will probably have some floating around I could grab.
  9. I wish I had those two nuts, Yours looks like the complete set.
  10. I have no nuts to bolt on, just 4 bolts with ball ends, 2 attached to the ribbon and 4 washers. I’ve used the original nut from the bonnet to attach the bracket, but I’m still short 2 nuts.
  11. Mine arrived today and are missing bolts to attach the fixtures to the bracket that attaches to the bonnet…
  12. Any pics?
  13. Coming from a Skoda Superb L&K, which was packed with driver assists, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) was a must-have for me. I wasn’t willing to buy brand new, but eventually found a used one with ACC — surprisingly, many didn’t have it! The combination of the DSG gearbox and ACC makes for a smooth, semi-autonomous driving experience. That said, I do miss features like lane guidance and blind spot assist — they made long journeys more relaxing and overtaking safer, without needing to constantly check over my shoulder. That said, I know some people absolutely hate those systems.
  14. Did I need them? No… I Have I bought them? Yes! Followed the link you sent, so waiting for them to arrive to fit. What’s the verdict, mount upside or not?
  15. Was it easy enough to do? moving from a superb and an A3 that had them, I feel kind of cheated. Do you have a link?
  16. Great, since posting I’ve actually spoken to someone at VWFS, and they’ve known people pay the finance off the same day it activated, and still retain the benefits. Annoyingly I’d have done the same, if I’d known. As I’ve incurred approx £30 interest, but still. I’ve been told the payment needs to be made within 30 days so moved the funds into an easy access ISA to get a bit of interest before I pay.
  17. Hello, I recently bought a Škoda Karoq as an approved used vehicle from Horton Škoda in Lincoln. I sold my Superb privately, which allowed me to put down a 50% deposit, and I have access to very competitive personal car loan rates through my employer. I was recommended to take advantage of the Škoda Plus Approved Used Event, which included a £750 Škoda deposit contribution and the following benefits: 2 services 2 years’ warranty 2 years’ roadside assistance 2 MOTs I’ve now collected the car and the finance agreement is active. I’m ready to pay off the full balance using my own financing (at a much better rate than the 11.4% offered), but I’m unsure about the best timing. Specifically, I’m concerned that settling the finance within the cooling-off period might invalidate the Škoda Plus benefits. Has anyone else used a similar offer? If so, did you wait for the first payment to go out before requesting a settlement figure?

Move froma '67 Superb L&K to a '72 Karoq Sportline. less than 24 hours of ownership, I've removed the aero inserts I appreciate the colour divides opinion, but I love it.
  19. Thanks again for this thread – I’ve now successfully removed the aero covers from my wheels. I was shocked at how much brake dust and road grime had built up behind the fins! It took a bit of effort to get them properly cleaned, but I definitely prefer the look of the wheels without the covers. Just a quick word of caution for anyone keeping them on: they can potentially cause scratches over time. I’ve noticed a few light marks on mine after removal, and my car’s only done around 6,000 miles.

That’s a massive shame, thanks for advising!

I picked up my '72 plate Karoq Sportline yesterday, having moved from a Superb where I previously made some VCDS tweaks—such as enabling traffic sign recognition and the 30-colour ambient lighting (I created an OEM+ style pallet to compliment the orignal) I now have the Travel Assist package on the Karoq, so I'm wondering: is it possible to enable traffic sign recognition (or similar features) on this model via VCDS, like I did with the Superb?
  22. Just want to say thanks for this thread. I'm collecting my '72 Sportline Karoq today, which has the gross aero inserts. I've already ordered the bits to remove them, in advance of collecting it. Dealer quoted approx £90 to do it, but I've found the bits for less than £30.
  23. Really interesting read, I am tempted by the the 2.0 TSI, but finding some seems a lot harder, particularly with one specced with drive assist. I'll keep my eyes peeled. Not a bad shout, the 1.5 TSI I'm lookin at is approx 1h 20 from me, so hoping to head over next weekend, but wondering if I can pop into a dealer local to me to 'test' the same model without doing the long round trip!
  24. I think the fact I’m moving from a 2 litre TDI to a 1.5 TSI is playing in the back of my mind. I appreciate it’s not a sporty car, but I don’t mind the odd spirited blast. I can’t help but feel the 1.5 might leave me feeling underwhelmed.
  25. Sounds like pros and cons to both. Thanks!
