  1. I’m curious, I have an MY18 with ACC, HBA, Lane guidance etc, as well as retrofit TSA, what are the perquisites for Traffic Jam Assist, and is it enabled by default without any options in the system? I can set my ACC in traffic and it will bring the vehicle to a full stop for me if required. However I then have to engage the throttle for it to resume.
  2. I’ve been able to successfully remove the bottom upholstered section of the armrest, it’s not bonded on as suggests by the part department, but is held on by several retaining clips. I did actually break one whilst trying to remove, but it doesn’t eeem to have any impact on it staying attached to the new part. My fingers and thumbs are sore as hell from trying to prise the plastic apart. But at least I’ve been able to transfer everything over. Just need to bolt it back in place.
  3. Bit of an update on this, The company I purchased the vehicle from agreed to source the replacement part above at their cost, and arranged to ship it to me. The part in question arrived today. It is exactly the same as the one I'm replacing, except the new one doesn't have the felt pads on, I'll look to grab the Mrs hair dryer and attempt to transfer to the new part. The old one & the new one, the new one with the handle still attached (hopefully they're addressed the assembly issue) I've been able to transfer the upholstered armrest from the old hatch to the new, it was being held in place by two retaining screws. However I'm struggling to remove the other upholstered part of the armrest. I've attempted pressing two retaining clips, but it still wont budge!
  4. do you have a link? I noticed the passenger side mirror has the tiny bit at the end of the indicator broken on it.
  5. Wow! Typical, I tick all of those boxes, so potentially 188 changes. I don't have the cable/software personally, but I've paid a local member for my VIN against his software. Are you able to give any more advice on how to use the scripter, and a copy of the script if possible? Great idea creating your own colourset by interpolating the extra colours between the stock values, makes it feel OEM+. I'd love to be able to make this modification, but appreciate it seems like quite a bit of effort, based on the advice above.
  6. Thanks @SashaGrace Ahh right, every day is a school day! So by amending/adding these entries, you'll be shown the 30 colour pallet instead of the default? I'm assuming these above are specific RGB values for each colour option?
  7. I've managed to find a local member to me that has been able to code TSA and a couple of other tweaks. Are you able to share the VCDS coding for this, or is it done via VAG COM?
  8. Thanks @Bap33, I've just ordered a shell, when it arrives I'll likely use this as the main, and then transfer the original to my wife's key.
  9. There is a thread which lists members who have VCDS interfaces, which will allow changes to be made to the system in your car. There is also a handy map on the thread that will allow you to find members close to you. I was able to successfully contact a local member, and yesterday successfully enabled TSA, amongst a few other smaller tweaks. Throttle response, rear lights on when DRL are on, disable boot close warning chime, off-road screen etc.
  10. Yes, they are reflective and they conform to the British Standard BSAU145d. They're a lot thinner profile to the acrylic plates, and hopefully will look fresher for longer. https://www.onestopnumberplates.co.uk/product/premium-aluminium-number-plate/ for anyone else interested. From September this year, I believe all new cars will be supplied with aluminium plates in place of the default plastic ones.
  11. New owner of '67 Plate Skoda Superb Hatchback 2.0 TDI CR Laurin + Klement 5dr DSG. The image below was from the seller, I've since removed the number plates, and had some plain aluminum ones made up, which look a lot tider. I've also just had the DSG gearbox serviced as there was no actual evidence of this being done at 40k, the car is at 43.5k so hopefully no lasting damage done as it wasn't done at the correct interval. Comes with the tech pack, but TSA not enabled. I'm already in talks with a member on here to have this enabled via VCDS coding, and this is planned for tomorrow.
  12. Great project thread, it was exactly this coloured Superb Estate near me, that got me looking at Superb. Love the full ambient lighting, great job.
  13. I'm pretty sure they're just standard lights. Mine has the LED pack, so has white LED's as opposed to halogen bulbs, I can change the brightness but that's it.
  14. Thanks @SashaGrace, I've PM'd 3 members based local to me, but 2 of the 3 I guess are classed as inactive members, as I've not heard back. @trundlenuthas kindly advised he still does VCDS, however he does an older Hex CAN cable. Love that part of north wales, was over in Anglesey last September/October, just before the 2nd lockdown loomed.
  15. ahh no way! that's pretty cool, I like the idea comfort entry too. Shame you're so far from me.
  16. Thanks SashaGrace, Guess the only way to know would be to test the cable! A shame you're in North Wales, its approx. 2.5 hours from me in the midlands. The goodies that you can unlocks sound interesting! What's comfort entry? I'm assuming the 30 colour lighting allows you to utilize a wider array of colours than the standard predefined ones?
  17. Thanks SashaGrace. I'm pretty new to the scene, and VCDS coding. I was with you on the above till "TSR coding is in 17, 5F and A5 only. HBA is in 4B. " I can confirm I have ambient lighting on my screens, and an all glass radio screen, so assuming I have an MY18 car. If this is the case, will this not work with the older hex cable?
  18. Morning all, Following the handy guide for locating VCDS coders within the community, I've been exchanging PM's with a fellow member to ascertain whether or not they are able to help or not, I'm looking to enable TSR, as this seems to be the only option not ticked in terms of extras for my L&K Superb. A query was raised as to whether my vehicle has the newer multi function module fitted, as if so it will require use of the hex net interface to do all of the coding. The member I reached out to has advised they have the older hex cable so wouldn't be able to do it. Now my car is a '67 plate, the member has advised that the only way to know if the car has the older or newer module is to scan the car and see if the module shows up. He seems to think the car is probably a 2018 model year, Octavia's of that age normally have it fitted but he's not sure about the Superb. Has anyone with a car of a similar year had any experience with this? Just wanting to ask, as I'm approx. 28 miles from the guy can that could potentially help.
  19. Good Morning, I'd previously been posting in an extremely old thread from 2018, but It hasn't garnered much response. Last weekend I collected a '67 L&K, before driving away I get everything a good going over to check for any faulty electrics or broken components in the cabin. I unfortunately failed to check the ski hatch release handle from inside the cable. I checked this when I got home to find the handle not correctly attached. The previous post suggests this could have been an assembly issue from factory, with some first time owners reporting issues soon after collecting their vehicle. The garage I purchased from have advised they're happy to have this repaired, but advised me to seek a 'specialist' rather than going to the main 'stealer.' If I can source the replacement part I'm happy to do the work myself. I've been able to speak to the local Skoda Dealership and they have advised that the handle assembly for ski hatch is £130.18 inc vat, this is reference 17 on the screenshot attached. What I'm unsure of is if I can split the original part 17 from 14,15 & 16. the million dollar question here is, has anyone had any success with this, given the the previous thread I'm assuming other people have encountered the same issue? Part number: 3G5885961A

  21. Any one able to advise? Considering this seems like a common fault when the post was originally opened, I would have expected this to be quite a common discussion?
  22. Ok, does any one have any part numbers for the assembly at all?
  23. The company has advised me the umbrellas weren’t present when they received the vehicle but have ordered me some to replace the missing ones, and should arrive tomorrow. They’ve also said they will cover the cost of getting the ski hatch repaired, but asked if I know a local Skoda specialist that could do the work as they don’t want to pay dealership price to put it right. The Question is, do any of you lovely lot know of any said Skoda specialists in the East Midlands? p.s sorry for resurrection of an old thread!
  24. Ahh ok, I'll try and take a look tomorrow, but comments suggest it looks like a sealed unit so we'll how I get on. I've actually purchased the car through a relatively new firm called 'Carsa' the car was apparently prepped in Southampton, and was moved up for me to view & test drive. I'll certainly ask to check if they were removed during 'prep and then not returned to the vehicle.
