  1. In our business we listen to people's ideas and we give them.ours..thats all I am wanting to do.put some ideas forward that maybe could help. The computer says there is nothing wrong...there clearly is. Our Skoda doesn't do lots of stop start.we are located in skipton so our journeys are longer than average.iwe have done runs to Pocklington... York..and then our first slow trip into Bradford...then light comes on.. Thanks for the quick replies.
  2. Sorry for mentioning that word.DPF as I know it is mentioned on a few threads.i am just hoping that someone might have some fresh ideas. 2015 Superb mk11 .Dpf light has come on several times in our nearly 2 year ownership..initially do the regen trip and it would go off...about 2 months ago all three came on...dpf.engine.and glow plug light. Garage did a forced regen and lights out..within a month all back on. Last week new dpf sensor fit and glow plugs(computer said 2 and 3 were defective) Not even a week and dpf light back on.At last visit computer was only showing 9g of soot. The car is fantastic for our business (run a funeral business) and it is in constant use but this dpf crap is starting to annoy me..I am about to go off to the States for a fortnight and need the car to be ok for my colleague Suzanne because limp mode is not ideal. We use an independent skoda garage and hoping that someone might have any ideas I can take to them to look at...seem to think I read somewhere about an air intake pipe that may cause issues .Thanks for your help. Carl
  3. Did the plastic front cover come off easy.
  4. It's an Agm..its got the fabric cover and that is inside the plastic frame thing that the battery sits inside.👍
  5. Ordered Varta e39 at 2pm yesterday..just arrived...Battery Group £141. Great Service.👍👍
  6. Greetings. I watched a you tube video where some guy was meant to be showing how to remove and replace and he just made a pigs ear of it and made it look difficult especially getting to clamp.he even discarded the fabric cover because he couldn't get it back in.That was main reason for my question...I have since looked at clamp location and I can get to easily. Radio working well...Blower working well so hopefully Battery will do to.🙂👍 Thanks for your help as always.
  7. Not overly worried about the coding at the minute but new battery coming today..my question is does the plastic outer jobby have to come out to change the battery(maybe easier access to the clamp) and if it does how do I remove it...my Vrs only has the fabric cover round so that was simple.. Many thanks and apologies for asking my question on Besters post.
  8. Only just seen this thread..my superb elegance heater blower stopped working. I am no auto guy but the blower can be removed without taking anything out apart from removing the carpet trim jobby beneath the glove box...took me 15 minutes to remove...clean..gt85 spray then refit...working great .there is a great old thread on here about the easy removal .
  9. Hi mate...his ebay user name is rcd310...guy called Eric. Carl
  10. It's great when people on a forum can get the help they are looking for from like minded people...I used to be in the ford rsoc and you might get a reply 4 months later...as well as this forum.i am on the focus rs owners club and the help offered there is equal to this site. 👍👍👍
  11. The one I had to replace was an N...I now have a K ...which is everything apart from DAB....my radio that I replaced had DAB and only difference to the K was it had an extra aerial socket.....my understanding is that the end letter doesn't mean to much....just something that took place when the units were upgraded in age...
  12. As varoom mentioned I did have ussues with my columbus in my mk11 superb although mine was the constant splash screen..after advice I found swl to download off internet.however the unit was making all the right noises whilst trying to do the update but it didn't fix...I ended up finding a great guy off ebay from who I purchased a recon unit with a years warranty for £299...fitted and working then sent my original unit back to the seller and he sent £100 back to my bank..
  13. Having had a rns510 go bad on me advice on here allowed me to determine it was broken sno now have a refurbed one...this thankyou is for a past thread I looked at on the dreaded heater blower not working...some mentioned glove box out and another piece of stuff out but someone mentioned it was possible to get blower out without removing anything and even posted pics.thought I would give it ago...I don't have the smallest hands but hey presto...blower out and almost not moving...good clean and gt85 and fins spinning like a trooper..so blower back in and working 100%..all done on less than 20 minutes..money saved and thanks to the input on this forum. Thankyou
  14. I run a small funeral company with my best friend and we didnt want our transport to be the usual mondeo or van /galaxy...i already own an Octavia Vrs we decided on our Superb...been a fantastic car so far and does exactly what we want.
  15. 👍👍👍 can certainly recommend the guy....and a years warranty..
  16. No need for a cardboard 🤣 refurbed unit obtained from.ebay...great service from.seller 3 day turnround...unit is unmarked and is all fitted and working..£100 for my old unit...👍👍👍👍..thanks for all the help and advice on trying to get my old unit going.....Carl
  17. Bugga that mate...he will get a cardboard one.🤣🤣🤣🤣
  18. Have sent message but reckon I will get it bought...I don't buy much on ebay apart from Ford RS bits from.places I know so I am always a bit dubious but guy comes across OK and has some good reviews.will let you know how i get on. Carl
  19. I have spoken via, ebay and he has said it doesn't need coding only of it was a vw it was going.he is someone called something like rcd310..am about to confirm with him.which software he has loaded so i will mention it to him again about the coding..
  20. That is great.thanks for this...as dab doesn't bother me going to opt for the one I mentioned on ebay and like you said he has offered me £100 for old one so thats ok.i am sure the Bluetooth connection is amongst there somewhere... Carl
  21. This is the rear of my unit..I have seen most on ebay and none appear to have thar top input above the blue and white inputs.does anyone know what that input is for..Cheers
  22. I have see one model 3TOO35680 K..no dab but seller says fits superb including my year.on the back where the blue plug and white plug are of which I have both to the top of that my unit has an extra input...not seen another rear of unit like it so I assume that's the N bit of the code.
  23. One of the units for sale ends in K...but i know which seller you mean.not tried a burnt CD...cant remember last time I did one apart from the software one....but a normal CD doesn't work...its a real shame because you can hear the unit seeming like it has some life in there somewhere
  24. The ones I jave seen have been C...mine ends in N bit only seen 1 of those and it was more than I wanted to pay...my car is an early 2015 mk11 ...not really bothered about DAB...just need it to be compatible with the Bluetooth module and have sat nav and the radio of course 👍 the climatic blower suddenly stopped working monday but that seems an easier thing to sort.
  25. Just want to day thanks for all help..sadly although you can hear the unit whirring and stiff when cd/dvd go in its not doing anything.had power disconnected hoping that would maybe reset unit but no change..looks like i may have to get a refurbished unit...all the ones i have seen have one less connection than mine but figure that it is not an important lead.
