  1. Has anyone had any issues with the app and online portal connecting to the car recently? Since Thursday morning mine hasn't updated so its still showing 100% battery for my iV and none of my recent trips are appearing. If I try and turn the air con on or plan any trips from the app it just fails, it's clearly not connecting to the car but I can't tell if its an issue with the car or the portal itself. I've also tried connecting to the store, downloading a manual and trying Internet radio, nothing works whether I use WiFi or the esim. I've tried resetting everything in the car to see if that helped but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
  2. Surely the engine doesn't need to engage to charge the 12v battery? Running on battery alone should still charge this but from what i've read the 12v battery should charge when you're charging the car anyway.
  3. This is true however, my thinking was that its not worth spending money on an external 3 pin plug just to replace with a proper charger when I inevitably switch to a full EV in the near future, obviously these circumstances won't apply to everyone.
  4. I was thinking the same but chose to go with the thethered charger in the end. The 3 pin for me just isn't practical as I don't have anywhere to plug it in without keeping the front door open.
  5. I picked my iV up on Monday, I've only done about 200 miles so far (Car already had 1200 miles) but it's been very nice to drive in this short time. I'm well aware of the MANY issues people are having but so far I've not experienced any, fingers crossed it will stay that way.
  6. Mine shuts down if it detects no motion but power is permanently on so the the battery is kept charged. Should you turn the auto shutdown off then yest, it would be on 24/7 if it could be. The hardwire kit stops the camera from draining the car battery though, should the voltage get too low it cuts power to the cam. My car is used daily so its never been an issue anyway.
  7. Mines got a battery but it only lasts a few minutes, most of that is used when it doesn't shut down the minute you turn the ignition off.
  8. It's really bad that this doesn't work, especially since the manual clearly states it does! I'm guessing hardware revisions A-C have issues with the 5ghz WiFi and this is why i can only connect to my 2.4ghz network?
  9. No it's not, this is why I went with a hardwired install yesterday, straight into the fuse box and piggy backed on the permanent 12v slot that's in the boot. The front USB C socket is almost pointless in the UK, its on the wrong side for start which is pretty lazy of Skoda!
  10. This is very disappointing, I pick up my Octavia iv tomorrow and was planning to use the USB socket so I didn't have to go straight into the fuse box, the fact it's not permanently live makes it useless if you want parking mode though.
