That is correct, and to be fair, going straight to the fuse box looks tidier anyway as the cable goes straight up and under the headliner.

I know I definitely used the fuse for the boots 12v socket for the permanent live, I'm not sure which I used for the switched wire I'm afraid. I've not had the car for almost 2 years now or I'd have gone and had a look. I think fuse 52 is the 12v, and you could use the rear wiper fuse if you have one? Not sure if the socket is wired up if you have the hatch, worth looking. Rear wiper is fuse 66 I believe.

Luckily I got rid of my Octavia a year ago, worst car I've had, I can't believe this is still going on. I used to pull the fuses all the time, never had an airbag light, it wouldn't make sense for that to happen. Pulling the fuses was the only way to fix it when I had that issue, I left it a week once and it did nothing, as soon as I pulled the fuses, it worked.

Octavia Estate PHEV % read out on Dash giving a False read out
Like I said when this thread was started, you really do have to forget those estimated miles that the car tells you, it's just not accurate. Just think about the journeys you make, I was getting 35+ on warmer days when driving routes that were almost all straight roads. Your driving could be stopping and starting, up and down hills, roundabouts and junctions everywhere, there's a million and one factors to take into account when comparing to others. I got rid of mine in July last year, it was the worst car I've ever owned in terms of the overall software. Since then I've had a Tesla model Y for a few months and if the predicted mileage on the Octavia is annoying you this much, you'd have had a nervous breakdown watching the numbers on the Tesla. Some mornings I'd go out to see 317 at 100% and some mornings i'd see 291, it really is just an estimate and it always ended up doing about 300 miles. All that matters is the actual mileage you get and from what you've said, it really doesn't sound like anything is wrong. I'm now back in an old skool Leon Cupra with an ICE only, I can't be bothered with the hassle of some of these new platforms at the moment.

Is any Octavia MK4 without fault?
Get rid, it's what I did. I got more than I paid for mine by selling to another Skoda dealer.

Do you feel mis sold on your mk4
Well, I'm pleased to say that I got rid of my iV on Monday 😁 It was purchased by another Skoda dealer and because of the way the market is currently, the car hasn't actually cost me a penny in the 9 months I've had it.

No internet connection.
It was an ex demo so it had about 1000 miles on it. To be honest, it's the worst experience I've ever had with a car. The software is shocking, skoda are useless and most of the staff at the dealership are about as useful as a waterproof t-bag! It should be gone in the next couple of months so I'm just ignoring any issues now, unless they're major of course.

Mine was down again on monday, finally gave up and pulled the fuses yesterday morning to get the connection back. Had lots of loud popping sounds during the week while it wasn't working too! Decided to give her a clean after sorting thr connection out and found some "transmission oil sump install pins" wedged in the rubber seal (that I also had to re-attach) around that tray that catches the water from the windscreen(you can see the rust marks on the plastic) they must have been there since the car was built 😲

Wireless Android Auto
Same as mine, Nov 2020, it just needs an update.

Wireless Android Auto
All I'd suggest is plugging it in via USB first, you certainly don't need any apps, just make sure "wireless android auto" is enabled on your phone

Wireless Android Auto
That's the screen i get when i select Android Auto so I'm guessing you have the WiFi completely disabled, this will likely need a trip to the dealer to sort. I'm almost certain i read someone else had a similar issue and the dealer sorted, you could probably do it with an OBdeleven as well. This is what my menu's are like

Wireless Android Auto
Hmm, it seems mine is very different to how i originally remember it. I've just been out and disconnected both my WiFi and Bluetooth, I've "unpaired" and "Forgotton" all bluetooth and WiFi to the car and started again. I clicked the Smartlink option and it simply told me the following. I picked Skoda 2968 for both WiFi and Bluetooth, accepted when it asked if the codes were the same and it connected immediately

Wireless Android Auto
It's the part in red i remember being a strange name so, it's a bluetooth profile you select that seemed to get things working for me.

Infotainment Lights problem
Another one of Skoda's software problems!!! This has happened to mine a couple of times now.

Wireless Android Auto
I had to really push to get my dealer to do it, they're absolute tw**s when it comes to software updates.

Wireless Android Auto
Have you followed the setup instructions in the manual? I can't remember exactly how I did but I remember connecting the WiFi to some weird German sounding access point? That was what triggered everything and its worked since.

Software
I went with a Mokka e in the end, just have to wait a few months for the build. It's not the type of car I'd normally go for but it looks decent IMO, it's only me that drives it so the fact it's not huge inside is fine. The range is way more than enough for me, its absolutely specced to the max and the monthly cost is way lower than what I pay for my iV. I know the grass isn't always greener, however, I just can't see how it could be any worse than not only having to put up with the crappy software, but also having to deal with the clowns at both skoda and my local dealership.

Software
It seems you're not the only person having WiFi issues with device hardware ending in J, unbelievable that this is still happening! These cars are an absolute joke IMO, I've had mine less than 7 months and I've already ordered something different. Mine has had most of its problems me fixed but the Car, Skoda, and my local dealer have pi**ed me off so much that I just wanted rid!

Octavia iV reversing camera retrofit service!
Excellent service from East Yorkshire Retrofits, had my reversing cam done a couple of months ago.

Can high beam assist be retro fitted to my 2021 Octavia SEL with front camera?
Sounds about right. The staff at my local dealership are an absolute bunch of morons! They have absolutely no idea what they're doing, not the sales team and definitely not the service team!

Wireless Android Auto
Wireless AA doesn't work with units ending in A, B, or C, you need a software update that will change the version to F. Mine was originally B, now its F

Do you feel mis sold on your mk4
Definitely! I'm absolutely sick to death of mine. I've just come back inside after pi**ng around outside in the cold trying to remove fuses again, just so the car can reconnect to the net. I'm also sick of having to defrost the car because it randomly decided to not pre-heat like its supposed to. I think if I could hand it back tomorrow, I would, I just don't know what I'd have instead.

Wireless Android Auto
Works fine for me and15watt wireless charging. Admittedly, I don't think it's always quite fast enough, I'm sometimes 2 or 3 percent down when I get to work (35 mins) but it's a small price to pay for wireless android auto.

Wireless Android Auto
Based on my commute my note 10+ would be completely flat after about 3 hours, a decent wireless charger is needed for longer trips if you can't charge at the other end.
