Wireless Android Auto
As expected, Skoda are saying it's impossible and it's never been advertised as being possible

Cars without wireless android -> update available!!
An update on mine .. Apparently, Skoda are adamant there's no wireless android auto in the MK4 Octavias, never has been and it's never been advertised. I've got some research to do tonight, i need to find as much evidence as i can to prove otherwise.

Is any Octavia MK4 without fault?
Small update on mine. Dropped off at the dealer yesterday and as expected, they've not been able to replicate any of the issues and the car isn't reporting any errors. I was advised that my car coming to a complete stop at random times is because it's in regenerative break mode, no mode exists on mine, i don't believe it does on any Octavia so i had to explain to the service guys about the available modes via the infotainment and via the gear shifter, pretty poor that i have to explain it to the so called "service team" . With regards to wireless android auto, they're waiting to hear back from the technical team at Skoda so we'll see how that goes. Bottom line is, they're either extremely incompetent or they're just being very careful about what they admit too so they don't have to accept a rejection.

Wireless Android Auto
My car has been dropped off today, will be interesting to see what they say about the AA Wireless situation tomorrow.

I may have set an Octavia IV record...
No doubt i'll have the same response tomorrow

Software
That's the software version I've got, mine seems to have just about every issue going. Ive dropped mine off at the dealer today so we'll see what they say tomorrow.

Cars without wireless android -> update available!!
Mines just gone in, got a loan superb IV, not a plug in so not happy but I can discuss the fuel situation with them once they update me tomorrow. Of course android auto wireless worked straight away just to rub it in Would anyone be kind enough to do a short video of their Octavia iv running android auto wirelessly, something that shows nothing connected to the USB sockets? I'm not doubting anyone, I just want some evidence when I get told it doesn't work on any octavia.

12 volt socket
I got myself a battery powered one, set the required pressure and then hit start, it stops when it reaches the required pressure, so much easier than messing about with a wired one.

Software
When the car is working normally it's a really nice place to be, unfortunately, it's not working very often. In an ideal world, the dealership will fix everything next week and i'll be more than happy to have it back and working as it should be. In reality, i very much doubt this will be the case as there doesn't seem to be a fix for the majority of the issues, i do then dread the "rejection" conversation as it would leave me in the difficult position of finding something else suitable.

Software
This is what worries me, i am most definitely not waiting that amount of time for any sort of fix. Mines back at the dealer tomorrow night, i'll be reasonable in allowing them a week to fix, i may even agree to 2 weeks but for a car i'll have had for 5 weeks (issues reported after 3 weeks) i'm just not preferred to have it sitting at the dealership, unless of course they're picking up my monthly payments.

Is any Octavia MK4 without fault?
No idea but I would certainly hope so, it's quite obvious the car is applying the brakes, you can clearly feel it and the charge bar is full.

Is any Octavia MK4 without fault?
My car has now also decided that it likes to firmly (not emergency stop firm) apply the brakes at random times and will happily bring the car to a complete stop if i don't keep putting pressure on the accelerator. It happened twice yesterday in the space of about 10 minutes, the first time i had nothing behind me so i just let it do it's thing and it really did bring me to a complete stop in the middle of a 60mph stretch of road, no ACC on and no limiter on. The second time was on a 60mph road heading towards a slip road, i eased off for the bend but the car hit the brakes, the blue bar in the charge section was at max and just like earlier, i'm positive it would have stopped the car completely had i let it. As i said previously, I've got the car booked in next week but i just don't see how they'll fix any of this, i'm definitely not willing to be at the dealership every week or 2 so i have made it clear that they have 1 opportunity to fix it all, including the wireless android auto.

Is any Octavia MK4 without fault?
Mines booked in for Tuesday next week, I fully expect to be told they couldn't replicate any of the issues and I'll get it back with nothing fixed. One of my main issues is the wireless android auto, I was told it was capable, the manual says its capable but clearly the issue with the 5ghz WiFi in the earlier hardware revisions is stopping it. Does anyone know where I stand with this? It's a feature I really wanted and it's a feature that was advertised. I do get that the T&Cs allow them to remove certain features with software revisions but this really isn't the same thing.

Is any Octavia MK4 without fault?
While I am very tempted, my worry would be not knowing what car to replace it with, there really is little choice when it comes to a well priced and reliable PHEV

Any news on this update?

Is any Octavia MK4 without fault?
Well i finally got round to taking my iV on a longish trip and it looks like i have the same issues as everyone else. 1. Popping sound in the overhead console (like a fuse popping) and then the SOS system message on the instrument cluster appears. 2. Car will not overtake on the motorway / dual carriageway with ACC active, sometimes hits the brakes quite hard. 3. Emergency braking when nothing is remotely close, pretty bad on dual carriageway bends at 70mph. 4. Wireless AA clearly advertised as being a feature, not available on my hardware revision. I don't know what to do, it was a pre-reg car so technically 2nd hand, I collected on the 12th July so if i want to send a letter of rejection, i really need to do it ASAP . I do have it booked in for the 17th August but lets face it, they're not going to fix anything unless there's a miracle software update that has been released. I'm not sure if i'm being overly dramatic or whether i just live with it until there's a fix? To be fair 90% of my driving is a daily commute at the moment so i'll probably not see any of these issues again any time soon.

2021 Octavia VRS iv driving mode default (please explain)
It's the same in pretty much every ice car I've driven over the last few years, Mercedes, BMW, Vag group etc, driving modes have always reverted to the default.

Installing subwoofer & Amp on 2021 Skoda Octavia
Did you ever get anywhere with this? I'm interested in hooking a sub up in mine too.

iV Aftermarket Sound System?
I guess something like the Alpine SWE-815 might do just fine then? It seems to be highly rated and it's not likely to overpower anything.
-
iV Aftermarket Sound System?
I'm not sure and that's the problem. With decent source material i was initially surprised with system but i soon found that it's only half decent at a very specific volume and i guess, specific frequencies.
-
iV Aftermarket Sound System?
I wouldn't want to go too mad, i'm not interested in upgrading to a system that shatters the windows, i'd just like some real nice quality audio with a nice amount of bass. I'd be happy to replace the speakers and add a small sub as long as it's a clean install.
-
iV Aftermarket Sound System?
As per the title, i'm just wondering whether or not its possible to upgrade the sound system in the Mk4 iV ? I'm happy with the car in general but the audio is pretty pathetic, especially the lack of any bass.

App/online portal not updating
I've fixed this now, pulling a couple of fuses and rebooting the infotainment system did the job.

iV will not shift to e-drive
I find this an absolutely rediculous "feature"! I actually shifted into sport this morning, I've only had the car 2 weeks so still testing things out. Not long after moving off I shifted back to D and soon realised it wouldn't then switch back to E-Mode, I had to turn the car off at the traffic lights and then start it up again.

App/online portal not updating
The only world I can see is in the bottom centre, it's slightly greyed out and I get the following error every time I start the car
