  1. Thanks for your help Gaz. Much appreciated 👍
  2. Hi Gaz, Thanks for the reply. Perhaps my bad terminology, failing to start up so I think I meant turn over. Petrol, Manual, VRS 2016. I wasn’t sure it was because there was no battery warning and all other electrics were fine. Annoyingly, my MOT is in 2 weeks time as well.
  3. Peculiar situation for me this morning as I have never had a battery die on me & i’m not sure it’s even the battery! I have driven around 1000 miles last week, with daily use and this morning the car really struggles to tick over. After the 5th attempt it finally splutters up and is ready to go. All is well. This evening, same again. All other electronics & doors are fine, unfortunately no warning on the dash which makes me think it could be possibly something else. It is the original battery so I’m going to put the battery on a trickle charge tonight & i’m hoping that’s just the problem. Has anyone has else had similar?
  4. I feel your pain mate. Recently had a screw in my PS4S too which luckily was repairable & then a week later the same happens again on the same tyre! 🤬
  5. I actually got hold of my local specialist garage and they had some Quantum Longlife 3 for sale. £14 a litre. I didn’t need loads, just a top up. Thanks for the help!
  6. Seeing as it’s just a top up until service and EuroCarParts currently have 40%, I think I will use this. https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/mobil-1-esp-engine-oil-5w-30-1ltr-521771862 Cheers 👍🏻
  7. Thanks guys, appreciate the help. It’s like a minefield out there. 😅
  8. Evening ladies & gents, I have been searching the forums and admittedly there is already a few topics on this but doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer, nor is the manual that helpful. Which oil should I be using on a 220 2L Petrol VRS, which oil did it come out of the factory with? Castrol as its the recommended brand? Many thanks
  9. I’ve always had PS4’s, even on my older car. Great tyres but a little pricey for some. Just had them fitted to my VRS last week and ATS Euromaster are doing a set of four and get a free dash cam (I sold mine as I already have one) and if you bank with Lloyds they are on the cashback offer as well. Just a heads up. 🤙🏻
  10. Just finished nights and realised i’ve totally misread which badge your talking about. Doh! Sorry.
  11. Hi mate, Just did mine the other day, like another user said you do have to put some force into it. I heated it up, used some fishing line like you would on the other badges and just went around it (you can’t go through as the pins are there) & then just pulled till it moved off without much resistance. Good luck!
  12. Thanks for all the insightful comments. Problem solved!
  13. Thanks for everyones help so far & i’m sure this will be my last question. After picking up my Octavia on Tuesday, we have already driven 300 miles and it’s such a great car so it’s great to come here and see such a active community. I was ordering some badges from Kopakec and in the description it said VRS 245. Once I delved deeper I saw the previous models were 230 and 220. After a bit of homework I still cannot work out between the others. My first question is does every VRS fall into the category of 220, 230 or 245 or can you get a VRS that is neither of the three? My Octavia reg is CX16 JFJ, BHP 217 and I cannot for the life of me workout where it is in that line up. I’m 100% sure it’s not a 245 as they are the latest model but not sure if it could be a 220?
  14. Very nice. Welcome back!
  15. Thanks for the reply Varaderoguy, I've picked up some mats from Horton and some badges from Kopacek.
