  1. Yeah, overpressure flaps just making noice there. I noticed this too with Octavia. Never heard it before being so audible in previous cars.
  2. Has anyone gotten a PHEV in last 2 months? ps. keep the charging discussion out of this thread
  3. Also depends on what do you prefer. Do you want an automatic or manual? Do you drive alot? a) if you drive like alot. b) for well, the engine is fairly good and can go low on consumption. c) like you said, too expencive I agree on zetzet, that the 1.5TSI is a good engine. I've driven over 80k (km) with and older generation and it was really good (with DSG though).
  4. How could they push a facelift out since they have a bunch of pre-fl waiting to build. Just guessing, that there's not going to a facelift on 2023.
  5. https://blog.caristaapp.com/front-wipers-alternating-parking-position-whats-behind-this-complicated-setting-s-name-f0f392a364fe Hmm, when my car knows its on a highway, it only activates high beam on the "forest side". "The headlights also provide different lighting modes for various situations and weather conditions, such as driving in the city, on the motorway or in the rain." https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/press-kits/skoda-octavia-press-kit-2/new-technology-shift-by-wire-full-led-matrix-headlights-as-well-as-numerous-new-safety-assistance-systems/ should do some changes even on low beam.
  6. RS iV with challenge + pack + nice interior + dcc is great, use it daily depending on my mood + canton got somewhat better with update + powertrain is perhaps better in non-RS. I mean its quick, but 225 wide tires are useless + leather/alcantara seats are great, except the massage is almost useless. + infotaiment works nicely + electric boot works always + matrix lights are good + automatic steering wheel + seat heating is awesome + automatic lock open on approach. - map guidance does not always give you the straightest route - some beeps, just got steering wheel replaced - really eager to start ICE on -10c and beyoand - canton worse than on previous VAG - automatic climate control works fine, except when i want moisture out. it does tend to keep feet are wet. usually full auto is good enough. So mostly happy with the car. Driven about 6500km with no serious issues (the beeping). Calculated about 6cnt/km (0,06€/km) for my driving. Not much petrol used. Basically it's just a nice liftback with great daily expences. Perhaps not really worth the RS badge, but damn i like the mamba green Hopefully next car will be fully electric. Not sure if possible in 5 years Point is to save the wipers. To keep them in different positions. You can save your "up" position by keeping the buttong pressed.
  7. So my RS iV went to a check because of couple mirror memory issues. Got it back with a DTC from lumbar support height motor limits not set. Now i'm waiting for them to get a new motor, since they didn't know how to fix it. Anoyne else had this issue?
  8. Yeah i agree. Not much needed since overpassing happens from driver side.
  9. Usually the distracting light comes from overtaking cars. So just a cost saving thing
  10. Well good to know that works. Might disable it for now.
  11. You mean the one click app? I'd like to find the long coding so i couuld change it while driving without using credits.
  12. Do you have long coding/adaptation for disable?
  13. Let me know how you did the headlight washer delay!
  14. ~5000km driven with RS iV. Pros Good ride even with 19" wheels Automatic aircon rarely needs more than temperature adjust App works better than expected Matrix lights are awesome Seats are great No rattling or extra noise so far Cons Canton is mainly a joke (compared to earlier Dynaudio) Tire noise / noice dampening Automatic aircon isn't drying floor that well Unable to change instruments cluster middle section (speed) Headlight washers wash the whole car Factory summer tires make launch control useless, since there is very little grip. Mainly i'm really happy with the car. It has started to make some blinging and bonging for SOS and travel assistant errors, but that should be fixed on upcoming service. Wish i could change remote window heater NOT to heat rear window too. Snow melts to the side = freezes and in time might cause issues with the liftback motors.
  15. Well some people spend more time in their cars and want to enjoy quality music. In one way its an easy environment, since its small and has lots of soft materials. You're talking about noise pollution and hearing aids. Good audio setup does not mean 100% volume I've got a decent setup at home, and i'm always abit frustrated to hear Octavia's Canton. I could have paid double the price to get more decent speakers/overall system from factory.
  16. After two months of owning the car the Canton is beginning to be a real disappointment. Previus golf's Dynaudio was so much better.
  17. There is no "B-mode" in octavia But yeah, you can use paddles to make regen/braking. Hold left to apply and hold right to go back to D. I almost always brake/regen with paddles when coming to lights. Yoú can have static regen on high/low/auto. I use Auto. since it regens fairly cleverly.
  18. I've got PHEV and heated seats and steering wheel turn on when starting at <14c
  19. Did someone say it would have an option for this? You can set the seat heaters on automatically when its cold outside and then they activate when you open the door.
  20. When you can, always pre-heat the car via electricity. Takes less energy when starting, which keeps the ICE off. Even better, time your charging just before you leave. This will heat up the battery, which can then supply more power.
  21. Rear blind spot sensors are not rear parking sensors. Blind spot sensors are two separate longer range sensors. Similar to this https://www.vwgolf.org/removing_and_installing_blind_spot_monitor_control_unit_j1086_j1087-2603.html
  22. Keep your head. I know a guy who retrofitted that on mk7.5 golf and it was not hard.
  23. No official information about the facelift, so no.
