  1. Cheers, funnily enough it was just steady speed.. a bit more spirited, and the temp usually decreases to around 104 -106 degrees.. Like I say, I've got my eye on the uprated extra oil cooler, which should help. I dont want to be running into reduced power mode coming up from mutkurve in the summer.
  2. Forgot to add.. Next year is a significant milestone for me, so I've asked for the Forge Motorsport big brake kit in nearby Gloucester and an awesome gti supplied uprated oil cooler kit as under normal summer driving conditions, I've seen 116 oil temperature....
  3. Just by means of an update.. Skoda Superb 2.0 sportline plus flappy paddle etc... 16 months on now, and 8000 dry miles done. Upsides I've added the dtuk tuning box (petrol) and she's absolutely insane at 340bhp, whilst still remaining driveable. Downsides.. id noticed a tiny couple of stonechips on my offside front bonnet and bumper. I booked that in and some **** in a Renault ( no evidence), wiped her nose in a car park, adding more damage. I was incandescent but at least she was already booked in. I'm loving the upgrade from my previous mk 1, 2 and 3 octavia vrs's.
  4. Good morning all. I have a significant birthday arriving next year and I'm exploring my wishlist. Because I head to the nordschleife quite a bit, one if the potential options is a pair of race seats (omp) - my reg is OMP, for my superb sportline plus 2021 model. Are there any threads on here or advice which mounting adaptors I would require please? I need to retain the oem seats for possible future refitting. Thanks in advance.
  5. Mine cleared up a while ago and the issue hasn't reappeared. Although yesterday the info system came up with a change vehicle settings message whilst driving.
  6. Get the carrier type next time, the brake shows are replaceable and easier to set up.
  7. The car is back from the dealer after 4 weeks.. skoda advised a new valve and carbon filter. The dealership also want to swap the brand new fuel tank out under warranty too. This is currently on back order
  8. It keeps on happening on my 900 (now) mile old sportline plus... Park up to pop in a shop and return, it has cleared itself..
  9. Thanks for the heads up, I've read the most recent thread on this and advised my dealer, who at the time of calling couldn't locate the leak.... it probably having stopped and the fuel evaporated....
  10. This one was a definite leak, with accompanying smell, looks like the circuit de la sarthe marshals have been busy on my drive..
  11. Good morning all. I have a mk3 sportline plus 272, its now 2 months old, with 760 miles on it... Still running in...ðŸ˜ī. she's kept under cover, so im not exactly mistreating her.. I last drove her on Saturday before last as I was at Bovington this weekend. Yesterday afternoon, she developed a fuel leak down through the rear offside, behind the rear wheel. The fuel tank was only about 60% full and it was only 26 degrees outside, its been warmer. Thankfully the local dealer was still open, so now I'm awaiting their call..
  12. Thanks.. the only laptop I have is a drive- locked work laptop...
  13. That could work, I hadn't thought of bt cd players. Thank you
  14. I used plastidip. which is secure and peelable if needed, but gives a great finish when you use a template.. Available on fleabay. Aliexpress sells matt black covers for about ÂĢ10 too, which seal around the oe badge.
  15. But the situation is a lot, lot worse elsewhere.. vauxhall for example are like the wine choice in hot fuzz.. Petrol... or diseasal... the only upgrades are in media .... no 'performance ' engines. Ford is pretty dire too. And everyone being sold down the battery ev route, rather than the hydrogen one... I'm happy I got one of the last performance cars at least.
  16. Same as the cars owned thread: Boardman 9.8 air elite with campag chorus group Trigon full carbon time trial with dura ace and rear disc. Single 54 t chainset Btwin 900AF with 105 Felt 650 cyclo cross bike with 105 Specialised allez s winter bike with full mudguards Lightweight foldie being converted to drop bars... And favourite ride: Los Cristianos at sea level to paramor del teide 2500+ metres altitude, via villaflor.
  17. Rob, I was skeptical at first of the uniroyals, but my local tyre supplier reckoned I should try them.. I only needed rears at the time. With those fitted and contis on the front.. the grip at the rear kept pushing the fronts into corners. That was enough to demonstrate to me how good they were.
  18. Thanks bud.. but the point is, being a luddite, I want to play the cds in the car, not another form... the laptop I used to read them is a work one, so I can't use it for ripping.. I'm wondering if I can buy another cd player and connect it using the correct cable to the USB. However, thanks for the suggestion. I like physical things like cds and books that are tangible.
  19. I've just got mine with the oem tyres fitted. As soon as they are done... which may take a time, its back to the uniroyal rainsports for me. IMHO a fantastic set of tyres, which really brought my old mk3 vrs to life. Can't fault those tyres.
  20. I've had both Apr (mk 1 vrs) and revo (mk 2 vrs). For the diseasal mk 3 vrs I used a dtuk tuning box, which can be removed should you wish, in 5 minutes... I was impressed by dtuk and they also run petrol tuning boxes, despite the name. My mk3 diseasal was running 240bhp, but around 480 ft lb of torque, with just a small wedge outlay.
  21. Good morning all. I've recently purchased a 2021 superb sportline and it doesn't have a cd player. Fair enough. I'm a bit of a luddite and have a stack of cds. I have a cd reader which plays no issues via the PC, but when plugged into the USB slot in the elbow compartment, states there are no readable files on the cd.. Quite a few of the albums are not available on apps like napster.. I'd like to play my cds in car, help please.
