a3quattro replied to bulls20042002's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
its not a bad job to do the calliper ,carrier and disc has to come off too to gain access to the bearing hub. -

a3quattro replied to a3quattro's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)

3 inch dp to 2.25 inch exhaust
a3quattro replied to a3quattro's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
yeah i did see people just having the the larger dp mated to standard cat back and going stage 2 , Im going to be changing my back box to a custom made one so i wont have a centre box just a backbox but just wondered is it too much of a drop from 3 inch to 2.25 inch pipework? -
Hi i currently have a milltek 3 inch dp with sports cat and the joining pipe which removes the centre exhaust box, would it be ok to have the rest of the exhaust from 3 inch to 2.25 and just have a backbox? car is soon to be stage 2 mapped.

When does the Camberly need doing on a tfsi ?
a3quattro replied to chubbymatt's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
TFSI definately has a cambelt but the cams are chain driven in the casing gearbox end and the TSi is chain driven but not sure on the interval on chain replacement as they do need replacing as they stretch and go slack. -
56plate vrs stream to kenwood dnx520vbt?
a3quattro replied to sam02's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
i have the kenwood vbt520 in mine , and cant fault it the unit does everything and has been faultless ,and looks oem when fitted. it is true the radio isnt the best reception wise but not sure if its down to the oem aerial or amp, but i rarely use the radio so havent bothered looking into it. -

i know the octavia mk2 have notorious for a/c faults , My a/c was working fine last year when we had some heat spells later in the year but now has stopped functioning , i have regassed the a/c and there is a feed to the compressor plug when econ is turned off so that should rule out gas in system and pressure sensor , the car revs do alter slightly when econ is cycled on /off , also on vcds the a/c rpm does change the econ is turned off? i think it could be fans or the compressor , the fans dont come on when a/c is pressed , but fans do work for about 30 secs but when car has reached operating temp , also while driving the a/c doesnt go cold so almost seems it a compressor fault? any ideas what else i could check ? btw car is a 2006 octavia vrs

a3quattro replied to ukcruiser's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
well the car has to be tested as presented so whatevers on the vehicle at time of test is how the cars tested tyres are one of the most important to look out for on a test really , -
probably be the backplate catching the brake disc when turning
