  1. Coincidences, here. In addition to you going for the same wheels you're also going for black leather. Here's another appetizer for you. Transcal did mine.
  2. A4's are 5 x 112 pcd and Fabia is 5 x 100, so definitely won't fit. 17" Mk1 Audi TT's fit and the offset is okay. They're often on eBay in the region of £100. Here's a pic on a Fabia.
  3. My wheels over the years. 16" Standard 17" mk1 Octy vRS 17" Audi TT As above but with small centre caps 17" Evolo The latest. Don't know what'll be the next set, as yet.
  4. Think I'll raise mine DOWN. Hee, Hee!!
  5. "............the fabia photo thread". Where in here did you find this?
  6. "Apart from being dangerous......." What else is there to be said?????? Your statement is almost unbelievable. BTW, in addition to your tyres, I think you should get your husband checked out as well.
  7. Spotted this immaculate Renault 21 in Benalmadena, May this year.
  8. Spotted this immaculate Renault 21 in Benalmadena, May this year.
  9. Pics 1 and 2 Check out ebay: Vehicle parts and accessories > Car wheels, Tyres and Trims > Other wheels, tyres and trims, or just go to item No: 260510647857 These are 63mm outside daimeter. They fit the bore of the TT wheel but need a wee mod to the collar to give a really tight fit. I inserted a couple of small self tappers on the opposite diagonal from the tags and that did the trick. Then attach the 60mm Skoda resin badges. See ebay item No: 110317487554 Pic 3 Standard Audi wheel centre. Remove the Audi circles (just push out from the rear) and stick on the 70mm size Skoda resin badges from same ebay seller. Hope this helps.
  10. Might go down this route after Xmas. What was your insurance company's reaction? Saw from another post that you're interested in a set of Evolos, as well as the remap. You know I got a set. Took 2 years or so to find them. Things looking up, are they? Briskoda should come with a wealth-warning, don't ya think? Have a good one.
  11. Ah, the latter. Now there's a wee gem. In future, like you, I'll try and avoid them!!!!!!! You know, I don't know how I manged prior to joining Briskoda. Really don't. Merry Xmas.
  12. Not in my experience. My Fabia vRS warms up a lot faster than previous 2.0L petrol. Check this out: www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/car-buyers.../cbg_fuel.html
  13. With Eibachs and 17", on full lock to the right there is slight rubbing between the anti roll bar and, I assume , the track rod. This can be avoided, so I'm told, by fitting the collars which come with the Eibachs to both ends of the steering rack. After fitting, these collars restrict the travel, hence avoiding the rubbing. I decided, along with most of the guys here, to ignore this mod and instead, I just stop short of full-right lock. Works fine other than when I forget. Then, you're reminded, in no uncertain fashion. Other than this, I kinda go along with the comments of the others. Must add though, I experience some alarming "thuds" when front wheels are exiting certain types of deepish road surface imperfections.
  14. 17" VW Evolos have replaced my 4 week old TT's. These are even easier to clean than the TT's which replaced the seriously difficult to clean Mk1 Octy vRS's 17" x 7.5J ET 38 5 x 100 Falken 452's 215/40/17[/b]
  15. Yes, you''re missing the point. Nothing to do with fill it, click..........There's a button at the neck of the filler tube which you can depress as you fill up. As already said in another post this allows fuel to enter an expansion tank. Simple as that.
  16. Hope you get it sorted and start to enjoy the car once again. Nowt worse than an issue you can't resolve or worse still, intermittent fault. Let's know if you notice any difference after you've fitted the new MAF.
  17. Had similar issue, which was seriously annoying. Improbable though it might seem, the culprits were the rubber pads that Chris has mentioned. I didn't remove them however, I just put a spot of silicone grease at the interface and , viola, rattle no more.
  18. Same here! Mine "chirps" momentarily under hard acceleration at some point in the rev range 1900/2200. Been doing this since I got it 2.5+ years ago and nearly 25K miles. I've learned to avoid this by a slight change in driving style - light foot it through this range then you can give it the welly. Try this and let's know if that stops it "chirping". Hope this puts your mind at rest.
  19. It needs these enormous wheel arch extensions to make the height look in proportion. But, at that width it's as wide as a lorry. Okay for a rally car but a road goer? Don't think so. Anyway, I await with interest the final product.
  20. Sorry to hear some bad stuff about Henry's. I got my car 2+ years ago from the then Maxwell Road Dealership and the service was exemplary. What with Henry's getting some bad press and the legendary "couldn't care less" attitude of the service guy at Park's it's off to the independents for me. It's not just car dealerships, though, is it? Service standards, in many sectors, are abysmal.
  21. Joining this forum "Seriously Damages Your Wealth". I got this message two days after joining - 2years ago, now - but thought it wouldn't apply to an old miser like me. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG...........................!!!!!! You'll love it, though.
  22. Here's a pic I just took. A bit late now, but supports the above. As you can see the clip fits okay. On the top edge, below the clip, is "Made in Australia" and there are no VW markings anywhere that I can see. Perhaps you have the wrong parts. Hope this is of some assistance.
