Manual Gearbox Oil
Trying to find out which gearbox oil I need to top up octavia 3 tsi 2019. Read this thread and it's baffled me , an idiots guide would be appreciated I had a leak and got it fixed , mechanic told me it must've been overfilled as there was still sufficient oil in there Currently feeling slight jerking whilst driving and exploring every avenue

1.5tsi ACT cambelt change interval revision?
Opted for the pricier £725 option genuine parts so will probably never need doing again The £470 option didn't sit right with me so £255 extra is worth it for peace of mind Car is on 100k so being cautious partly because my previous car (1.6tdi) snapped at 93k and my car is my livelihood, private hire driver

Just spoke to the garage who quoted £450 , it's actually £470 that's for all petrol cars , pointed out its an ACT engine which wasn't an issue Asked if it was genuine skoda part , it isn't but its to skoda spec and comes with a 2 year warranty Worth saving £280 or pay the extra for genuine parts ?

The special tool required required , does it have a name, just so I sound like I have a bit of knowledge when querying the price ? Also how much extra work is involved compared to 1.4 non act to justify a £300 price difference ?

Just heard back from another VAG local ish garage and been quoted around £450, seems a bit too cheap 🤔 They recommend 5 years or 80k

1.5tsi ACT cambelt change interval revision?
Just to add to the confusion I've had the following email today ,I got back in touch with them yesterday as I'd had no reply after a week waiting , so it would appear the same question has been answered twice by different people

1.5tsi ACT cambelt change interval revision?
I just find it odd they can't give an answer , surely they've been tested by skoda and have a rough idea of when they're likely to need replacing, I'm on 97k at the min and unsure what to do for the best and when

1.5tsi ACT cambelt change interval revision?
I emailed skoda asking for their recommended age/mileage for timing belt change, they've left a message on my voicemail stating there is no stipulation on age or mileage for a timing belt change on my vehicle. Doesn't really help and not entirely sure how to interpret that Just received he following email

Oil leak lotions and potions
The leak is from the oil filter housing for which a replacement is proving to be quite difficult to source Are gasket makers any good ?

Do any of them actually work ? Missus has an advisory on her mot , it's an old Peugeot 207 and really not worth paying for a proper job

Creaking - subframe? Thoughts??
Going to replace anti roll bar and bushes, cars done 94k and used as a taxi so probably due some new ones rather than pfaff about spraying them, is there a brand or a site for the bushes I should look out for ?
-
Creaking - subframe? Thoughts??
Car passed it's mot , I asked to have the bushes lubricated , still creeking over speed bumps
-
Declined a pre-MOT
It passed anyway , just a bit annoying though

Declined a pre-MOT
Dropped my car off for a pre -mot inspection , 5 mins later got a phone call telling me they only do a full mot, asked could they do the full mot inspection without logging it , just a straight no. Seemed a bit odd and can't for the life of me understand why it'd be an issue. Reason I want a pre-mot is it's a private hire vehicle and like to make sure its sound before it goes in for its 6 monthly inspection
