There is a big difference between few more weeks and much more months. Few more weeks people can forgive.

There are few others waiting from August here too. Don't forget, my coworker ordered 3 month after me and got it this week. All my options (-camera), same engine. He has also some additional options I don't have and it is a wagon. They don't care man, Skoda just doesn't care. It's fine, they don't need to, but one day we won't care, when they will need us to care.

So let me get this straight. You ordered Octavias IV in October, then waited 4 months for them to cancel the order? Also waited for Kamiq even longer. Wtf is this? And what will you do now about Octavias and Kamiq???

They told me, they can not order cars to stock. They must already have a buyer, who is ordering the car. If they can keep the order after buyer cancels, this would be unfair practice, but this is Skoda we are talking about, so no surprises there. I don't know then why they don't invent "buyers" like John Doe and just say he cancelled. Maybe they do... 😕

Just go to the dealer and demand the deposit back, because they can't provide ETA for the car. I think you will get it, at least you should.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. They can't sell what they don't have. Someone who orders now, will have to wait 1+ year. So will the seller, to get the money. Keep also in mind, that people know now about insane wait times at Skoda. Especially Octavia. I know I wouldn't order a Skoda today.

Many people get lucky that ordered after August. Strange, everything ordered August or sooner is for some reason unlucky. This is incompetence on another level. It is borderline retarded.

My coworker gets his in less than 4 months. It is Style + everything you ordered + some additional extras like side assist...

Did you order park camera?

It does not have a state, last state was waiting for production. Maybe it is in a state of quantum superposition. Skoda 🤮

What is powertrain? Motor? If yes, we both ordered 2.0 Diesel 150hp. And we both ordered DSG. We didn't order Canton or park assist. We did order a rear view camera.

Let me tell you a story. I ordered my car in August (hatchback). My cooworker ordered a similar one more than 2 months later in October (wagon). He is getting the car next week. I have 0 information. Dealer doesn't have a clue why this is happening and he can't do nothing. He said it is not about extras or type (hatch/wagon), because he gets also new hatchbacks with all kind of extras. He quickly added that it doesn't make sense to cancel now, because mine has a good price. Lightbulb went up. They are producing later orders, because people are paying more money and I guess they need as much money they can get in this situation. Fu*k Skoda, it is a fu*king shi*ty company. They are worse than some Zimbabwe family business.

That is why it is even worse how they handled orders. Someone who ordered long time ago is still waiting, while some got cars much faster. So he is still experiencing all new issues that pop up, that are even prolonging wait to much more than 1 year. This will hurt the company in the long run. If current orders wait for more than 1 year, how is it possible to quote even 1 year wait time if orders keep piling up? It isn't. If situation with the chips gets a little better, people will jump ship and this will cost them alot of orders. Look at this example from last week im the czech forum: Hi, I am also adding an experience with the delivery date. Ordered in July. Original delivery April 2022. Today I received a message that delivery should be in October 2022.

Car is perfect. Photos are a little better. You know you can turn your phone in landscape and step back or zoom out a little? 🤣

Beige interior is definitely worse, but not beacuse of the wait time.

Don't feel bad. If I had all this information in August when I ordered, I would probably do the same. Maybe find a used one or another brand...

Dude, it sounds like your dealer is full of bulls*it. Even if you are one of the luckiest guys in the world and this will be true, don't sell your car based on this information, if you need it. This is my suggestion.

This sounds like it makes sense in theory, but in the real world Greg is still waiting from March, while others got Octavias in the same country and even at the same dealer. Edit: Others who ordered after him.

What is wrong with you? You can't really be this daft. Greg ordered the car before you and before most others that already have the car. Is he living in some other dimension where other stuff happened? Others got all kind of additional equipment, probably even more than Greg and you want us to believe Greg ordered some kind of special gold plated DSG knob with 20 extra semiconductors. Look, if you can't comprehend information on this topic, go troll someone else.
