  1. Does anyone know the part number for the j271 ecm main relay please as can't find any info on it
  2. Can the fuel regulator on right side of the rail be swapped without removing the fuel rail?? As took to a local garage after getting this fault code but wasn't very helpful
  3. Checked fuel filter today and no signs of metal shavings or particles
  4. That's it so wanted to know most common failures as maybe process of elimination

Octavia mk3 vrs tdi the dpf keeps regenerating far to often and still regenerating when soot is at 3g so scanned car today and this popped up had mixed info saying maybe pressure sensor then maybe rail pressure regulator and also maybe 1 on the pump or even the pump so after bit more guidance... 👍🏻👍🏻

  7. Been told dpf is nearing end of its life so either replace or gut it and code it out 🫣
  8. Mines a tdi you was looking at options as new exhaust ain't a option at the min
  9. Couldn't you replace with 1 of a audi RS or golf GTI??
  10. Someone mentioned about resetting the dpf with vagcom too see if it resolves any underlying issues could anyone advise on this please?? No fault codes showing but I got the car I replaced the pre sensor but didn't reset anything at the time

Got access to vcds and shows pretty much same results it's constantly in regen soon as warm don't matter the soot level that's the issue I know the ash level is kinda high about 75% heard mentioned could be glow plugs as engine isn't warming up properly but no dash lights and no fault codes with vcds

What I find weird is it I do a short journey and fan running when I get back in the soot level say 14g is the same and stays that way till warmed up then slowly comes down but if I go on long journey and soot level is st 2g and get out fan is still running then when get back in after few min soot level rockets too 20g+ then when warmed up comes down slowly
  13. Mines in constant regen when warmed up so makes sense
  14. Has anyone upgraded the sound actuator as heard few lads done in on the golf mk7 so get more noise?? Is sound actuator hard to swap out??
  15. Out of curiosity what is the normal dpf differential pressure??

  17. This is before then about few min in then about half way then when pulled back up as can see soon as dpf warms up it's in constant regen then when I turn car off the fan carries on for about 3-4min Also made sure app is setup too correct engine code etc
  18. This is today 1 after iv been on 45min trip and below 2g soot but still in regen and when got out fan stayed on then got back in drove about 10min and soot shot up too 22g so unsure
  19. Was told when dpf is red at top it's under regen also I can get out the car and soot is a say 6 fan stays on for few min then get back in the car a hour later soon as car warms up soot rockets too 20+ in blink of a eye then slowly comes down
  20. Did you ever get to bottom of this I have simular with my octavia but mine is constantly regenerating when upto temperature
  21. I'm going off the forums, garages etc it's said if not bedded in properly from new get worn rings and seals so not abnormal usage just what iv been told iv had compression tests used vag com etc but still not the wiser so bugging me now
  22. Heard its how they are treated from new guess mine had hard life and possibly wrong oil used 🫣
  23. Dis you ever get to bottom of this I have same issue with my octavia so downloaded the vag dpf app and got a compatible dongle and shows dpf regenerating almost constantly
  24. Seems common I have been told for the tdi but depends how they was drove from new
