The fan then keeps running and when I get back in a hr or so later soot is above 20g any suggestions would be appreciated???

Any advise on sensors to check 1st as with no fault codes I'm bit stumped

The fact that the "Oil Ash Residue" figure is relatively unchanged and high would suggest that your car is burning oil which in turn points to something else that I can't say for certain over the internet.

How frequently do you need to top up your oil? If quite a lot, you would need to sort the oil burning problem and either clean out the DPF or replace it unfortunately.

There are other threads related to this type of problem if you try a search on the site or through Google that might be able to give you some other things to check. Hope you get it sorted.

Iv searched the net but not really finding anything the ash level has been same for quite a while I suspect previous owner didn't use the correct oil or something but uses about 1l every 1k which I have been told is normal for the cr engine iv also checked turbo by feeling the shaft through the intake side and can't feel any movement so bit stumped at min

Is that correct, 1 litre for every one thousand miles?

No need for oil changes then, you're continually putting fresh oil in it.

My tdi has has hardly used a drop of oil in 5000 miles.

Heard its how they are treated from new guess mine had hard life and possibly wrong oil used 🫣

@Derbylad82  Someone is pulling your plonker.

Even VW Group / Skoda do not pretend that is acceptable engine oil use.

For many years they have said May use as much as 0.5 litres in 1,000 km (621 miles) and that is not acceptable and never has been.

You show as being in the UK and not in some extreme climate, towing heavy loads over Alpine Mountain passes.

Not that 0.5 litres in 1,000 km is acceptable then either.
