  1. you also have to provide ID to have some of the allowances setup, have they taken a copy of your licence for this yet? If not, contact your dealer and have them sort it all for you
  2. same as above, have done this for years in my auto AC cars, no foggy windows etc, nice comfortable temp inside, not worth worrying about fuel for the cost of it
  3. Is this a new car? Have you spoke to dealer? They can usually help, mine offered but I managed to get mine going fine anyway if it’s a used car, are the key batteries good?
  4. I’m interested in this also, was disappointed to find the VRS came without a sub but generally, it sounds fine for everyday driving but would be nice to find some kind of upgrade like you describe, can you also link where you bought from
  5. Perfect toot, thanks for the suggestions, i'll look into those also 👍
  6. Well that was kinda the point of the post, i dont know who specialise in this brand and platform as such, thats what im trying to attain rather than just generic places i have found who list 3 universal type items Whereas if i was to look up a mk7 golf Gti/R, there are sites all over with all types of suspension, induction kits, exhausts etc with pricing and such
  7. Pure dead brilliant pal, i'll have a look into them, cheers I had a look on their site the other night, unfortunately another one that doesn't list the NX (mk4) octavia yet, i know the golf 8 is same but there will be some slight differences with bits so dont want to go down that road
  8. As im new to the brand i havent previously bought any parts for Skoda from tuners, aftermarket dealers etc, so im looking for who the best places are you can recommend? Im looking at usual bits, suspension, wheels, maybe other bits here and there I have tried a couple only to find most dont show the newer Octavia still which is quite disappointing, usually up to the mk3 model If anybody is doing any mods/builds also that would be nice to see, mainly specs for wheels and how low offsets this can handle etc
  9. VAG cars normally wash the headlights only when the headlights are active and you use the washers
  10. I actually saw this guy do it in a vid hence the post, someone asked in a comment if he drilled them into his cills and he calmly replied yes just wanted to know if any others have used that kit and is that how it’s normally attached? Not keen on self tapping plastic into cills on a new car
  11. Has anybody fitted the Maxton kit yet? Do the side skirts have to be self tapped into the metal sill of the actual car???
  12. Cant put the finished results up as the website wont allow pics over 3mb now for some reason, it was 10mb before? Have i done something? Am i not allowed pics of a certain size after more than 2 posts?
  13. First wash for mine the other week after the winter crud had built up
  14. I have the same it seems, water takes a second or 2 before appearing, however my wipers only start around the same time so it seems to be a delayed process in general
  15. I also find the screen doesnt defrost as quick as my Transit screen did, but like others have stated, the Ford you can clearly see the element lines whereas the Skoda is invisible so i imagine its the difference in having that, personally the Ford lines dont bother me As for speed, i dont think its that bad generally, i have been defrosting from -9C and its a few minutes till its gone, not great but also not bad, i can live with it
  16. You say they are much comfier, are you meaning just the actual fabric or are the seats different in any way? Again, i find the VRS seats great for comfort, at first a bit weird as not like usual bucket type seats but definitely have got used to them now and they feel fine Are they proper alcantara also as when i was speccing mine, i remember looking to choose the power seat option but it was selecting an upgrade with interior and saying "microfibre material" and almost 2K so decided not to bother with it
  17. What is the difference in material between standard and the upgrade? I find the standard seats more than fine, my first car with material seats for years and enjoying them, not sliding and freezing etc
  18. They were an option on the C6 RS6 also so originally an Audi design, and referred to as "peelers" i believe
  19. Excellent, thank you I have a Race Blue one coming, yours looks great Can you give more info on the setup, which suspension did you go for, what height, what size width and et are the wheels, any scrubbing issues etc? Also, did you have to get ACC recalibrated with new suspension setup and any others?
  20. Also interested, any pics of how it worked out???
  21. Just to weigh in on this one, i know a few people who have had the Maxton kits and had no issues overall I am also awaiting a new VRS hatch on order and have earmarked the V4 splitter for when the time comes 😉
  22. Glad yours went well for you Exactly, I’m quite looking forward to it and it’ll be first new car I’ve ordered and I’m sure they have the software issues in hand by now, just terrible lots of people had to experience the bad side of it all but hopefully it hasn’t tarnished everybodies experience
  23. Glad there’s more positive reviews of recent deliveries, seems they are being built with latest software etc
  24. Where is the best places to look for Skoda aftermarket parts, I’ve saw some sites but not very well stocked for the VRS, mostly golfs etc Is anybody doing any builds on the mk4 yet? Be interesting to see some threads
  25. Thats not ideal, nothing worse than being put off a car due to unreliability etc thats low mpg also but I also own an Audi RS6 so I kinda know how that game works lol Thats good to know, I haven’t been allocated a build slot yet so hopefully they are now assembled with updated software etc, looking forward to it
