  1. I choose the 8 speakers and with the parameters enabled 1-4 HT/TT. I get full range signal on FL FR RL RR. But the signal measures 2.2V. But maybe it’s enough
  2. I've disabled MOST. I've got sound, but is sound system external booster correct? Isn't that for OEM? I used external booster and internal, both read 2,2V Byte 11 05 long coding 5F (multimedia) -> byte 11 (sound system) -> 05 (sound system external booster) And why choose FF -> 4 channels, 8 speakers. Why not BE -> 4 channels, 6 speakers. As I only use Full frequency front and back. Or does 8 speaker mean full frequency?
  3. So the channels are changed. I have sound. What is difference with TT and HT? Only channel 1/4 TT are active correct? I also get two errors
  4. Next project will be placing a camera for lane assist and other functions. I know I have to replace the front window. Kodiaq is 2019. What I will need; - Camera (3Q0980654G) ?? Do I need MQB version 2? https://www.cargadgets.nl/en/frontkamera-fuer-fahrassistenzsysteme-mqb-version.html - cable loom https://www.cargadgets.nl/en/cable-set-front-camera-mqb-for-vw-seat-skoda-audi.html Do I also need I assume bracket for placing and new rearview mirror?
  5. Put a new power cable for car amplifier. Just wanted to share the easiest way. Remove battery and air filter unit. At the marked spot there is a rubber grommet already available. Cut small hole and put cable through. It will be accessible directly at the drive side.
  6. I've removed the spare wheel and placed new floor. Added the Hertz MPS 250 S4 enclosure. Doorpanels is just two screws in the doorhandles and one at the bottom. Deadening doors and most important inside doorpanel. Amp will be the Audison DSP M8.14. So 2 way front active and backdoors coaxial. Disabling Canton is coding: F5/47: change byte 04 to FF and byte 11 to 05 I made a special 38 pin cable to attach to the original Canton cable loom to connect to the speaker. I've build everything so that I can easily replace back to Canton if I would sell the car. When disabling Canton there will be speaker out on the MIB. So a Quadlock cable from the unit to the driver seat where the speaker wires are located is necessary.
  7. Do you have the canton? I’ve got all the diagrams figured out. I’m going to disable canton and place dsp amp. I also replace the 6.5 with Hertz Mille 1650.3
  8. yes. Before facelift 2 way.. I have the 2019 2-way
  9. Yes it's two way. I've made a tweeter mount with the right angle and high quality tweeters. That's already way better. The woofers are also replaced.
  10. Agree on that. I’ve replace the tweeters and woofers in front as first step and wanted to change the crossovers. The center (only mid there is) was also replace by more high end. but still as an audiophile it’s not okay. I’ve done all deadening doors and that is a must for good sound. I’ve installed better subwoofer also. Next step is disabling canton and place dsp amp. So that will be for me the best option.
  11. I’ve seen these values in the ‘sound system 47’ area of obd. Would this be the crossover frequencies for the speakers?
  12. For me to understand.. Disable Canton Byte 11 > 05 long coding 5F (multimedia) -> byte 11 (sound system) -> 05 (sound system external booster) Byte 04 > FF ?? I found this: 3C -> 2 channels, 4 speakers. BE -> 4 channels, 6 speakers. FF -> 4 channels, 8 speakers. So it becomes 4 channels? I can relate to the Front left, Right and Rear Left, Right, correct? But why do they mention 8 speakers?
  13. Thanks! It's located in the 5F ? I've received the external amp and will install soon
  14. PS what are the exact functions or the modification? External sound system off?
  15. woofers front are 8 Ohm, that would be no option to replace them with the Focals..
  16. Great. Then it’s time to do some modifying 😀👍🏼
  17. Hi, is it possible to change back to canton by reversing the coding? Just in case if I would sell the car.
  18. Hi. Are you still running the hertz speakers with satisfaction?
  19. After not satisfied with all the options. I remove the spare wheel. Created a new floor and placed an Audison APBX 10 S4S. Used one positive from pair one and one negative from pair two. So 2x 8ohm will be 1x 4ohm. And oh my my my. What a tight full bass I have now.
  20. I will be replacing the Canton system later on with new amp and dsp. But for now I've upgraded the center speaker already with a Hertz ML700.3. I've made a speaker adapter that will fit perfectly. Speaker is also a 4 Ohm speaker. Sound quality is amazing. I will upgrade the tweeters in front doors soon. As they are also 4 Ohm.
  21. The canton sound system has a center speaker. The 565035411E is a mid-woofer 4ohm. I’m going to replace it with a higher quality speaker. The smaller is the 8T0035397A. Does the smaller one also play the music? Or is it only used for alarm and voice?
  22. Thanks. Yes agree. I have new cable from the headunit to the driver seat to the new amp. From there from the amp to the speaker connector. Do you know how many ampere is on the power? Maybe I could use it to feed the new amp.
  23. I’m planning to upgrade audio and disable canton. I want to make a contra connector for the T38a pin connector to the car speakers to connect it to my speaker out of the new dsp amp. I find the pins for the speakers (see file) as I’m reading it correct. Is pin 1 the power in and 2 the ground? and in the diagram the number on the wires (4.0/2.5/1.5/0.75) are these thickness of the wires? Bedrading.pdf.pdf
  24. That’s great. Do you know how the canton is getting power? I’m planning to place new dsp amp and maybe I could get the power from the canton.
