Skoda Superb 2015-2019
Hi Raulsas, I drive a 2.0TSI 190 - the engine is brilliant, very smooth and quiet and quick. On the downside is economy if you are driving in the city. Some days I am lucky to see 23mpg on short urban runs😱 My advice would be if your journey is mainly A roads /motorways the 2.0TSI is a great choice ( 40+ mpg) however if your journey is going to be mostly city/urban look at the 1.4 / 1.5 option , petrol is the way to go Cheers

Which all season tyre?
Now had Michelin crossclimate 2s 235/40/R19 XL on my 2.0TSI SEL Hatchback for over a year and they have transformed the ride quality . Great handling, low noise and although pricy are in my opinion worth it. Would have no hesitation in replacing with the same when eventually they wear out

Lighting up the trees!
Hi Chris1949 , the front end is the pre facelift model, if the back of the car has a skoda badge in the middle then I'm sure that you have a pre facelift model. For a quick reference all facelifted models have SKODA across the back and have LED matrix lights on the front

Lighting up the trees!
Hi Shuggyboatsuperb , have I got this right from what you are saying? - do your front indicators run white ( along the bottom and outside ) of the front light unit during lights on and change to yellow when you indicate? and are your rear indicators dynamic?

Lighting up the trees!
I was led to believe that in the UK all superbs build from July 2019 and launched in September 2019 were the facelifted model as per your top picture. By 2020 almost certainly all Superbs shipped to the UK were the facelifted versions. Unless someone knows differently🙄

Lighting up the trees!
Strange, I have a 69 plate ( registered 1/9/19 ) facelift SEL hatchback with full LED lighting, Could it possibly be a result of the component shortages during that time?

Easy fit dash cam

2022 Superb Facelift - Disbale auto unlocking?
Why disable permanently? Simply go to locking ( i think) in the info menu and tick the box to disable auto lock, I did 2 years ago when I had mine and thats the end of the auto lock feature

Problems with side mirrors
Hi Rafal78 Never had an issue with Barlow Motors Stoke regarding work. They will be one of your closest main dealers - have you tried them? If not give them a try

Karoq 19 Inch wheels
Hi Rayjan. I have a superb so the size of my tyres are the factory recommended 235/40/r19 so relatively low profile. I used to suffer from road noise and any size pot hole or surface deviation caused a horrible loud crashing sound through the car ( when fitted with the original OEM Bridgestone ) Changed to 235/40/r19 XL Y CrossClimate 2 and the ride quality and stability is light years better . Its only on very poor surfaces that you are aware of any road noise. I my opinion these tyres are far more sturdy than the Bridgestone and protect the rims better. I know Michelin have now bought out a SUV option but if I was you I would also compare them to the original XL ones to see what is different. Good luck with your decision I hope it works out as well for you as it has for me

Karoq 19 Inch wheels
If you go to Crossclimate 2 consider the higher speed rating ( Y IIRC ) as they are rated XL load also so should help with protecting your rims.

Karoq 19 Inch wheels
Had exactly the same experience as BTandSid regarding changing from Bridgestones to CrossClimate 2s and what a difference . So glad I tried these before ditching my 19 inch alloys.

UK - Passenger side wiper arm location
I don't know if I have understood what you are asking ,however my experience using the wipers is as follows , If i leave the wiper arm at zero and push down once on the arm the wipers sweep once and the passenger side arm rests out of sight. If I leave the wiper arm in position 1 (int rain wipe) and the rain triggers a wipe the wipers finish with the passenger side wiper showing about 2-3 inch showing on the windscreen. My car has original windscreen and to the best of my knowledge has always behaved like this and has never been adjusted therefore as it left the factory. If i fancy driving without seeing the stationary passenger wiper visable I simply push the wiper arm to zero and it disappears when the sweep has finished. Hope the above makes sense?

Skoda servicing - any good dealers ?
I have always had good service from Barlow Motors aka Skoda Stoke.

Karoq - Any models/engines/gearboxes to avoid?
Hi BTandSid, I have a Superb on 19in rims and my experience of driving on Bridgestones which were absolute garbage and like you I felt every bump and pothole crashes to the point I was thinking of getting a set of 17in rims . Then I changed to Crossclimate 2 and the difference is staggering. The car feels more planted, very quiet and I have more confidence now with winter approaching. Plus the 19in rims look good on the Superb. Its good to see how these tyres make such an improvement over different Skoda marques.

Thinking of coming back to Skoda - Superb Sportline Plus
I have a 190ps 2.0tsi that will do 45mpg on motorways at sensible speeds. Unfortunately now retired most of my journeys are local urban shortish journeys where I am averaging 32 mpg. I suppose what your annual mileage will be and on what roads will answer your question regarding average mpg . Also worth mentioning how quiet the petrol engine is verses the diesel equivalent

Installing a dual dashcam?
Even the cheapest Next base dash cam is plenty good enough to cover all the details you require when recording

Superb Speed limiter and cruise control stops working randomly
Have the same 2.0 TSI MY2020 build car that had the same problem about 12 months ago. Also noticed that on mine when the CC stopped working the horn did as well, Recorded the fault when it occurred ( as requested by Skoda dealer) and they replaced a module in the steering column under warranty, Sorry not too technical just said replaced switch on the receipt. To date I have not had any repeats and my CC ( and horn) are working perfectly Hope this helps

ACC Question
Just tried your suggestion and turned off stop/start sadly made no difference , counted 6 secs stationary and had to "dab" the accelerator to move on.
-
ACC Question
If this helps I have a facelift 2.0TSI and the wait behind a stationary car in ACC is about 3 secs.

Quiet tyre recommendations?
I had the same problem - the original Bridgestone Potenza were very noisy on my 19 inch wheels. Last year I changed them to Michelin cross climate 2s all season tyres to help with winter driving and they have been great. What surprised me more was quiet the general ride has been especially on wet roads I was thinking of dropping down to 17 inch rims now really glad I went to all season Michelin cross climates and kept the 19 inch rims
