  1. Thanks Mario. They must have removed it during the day as it was there this morning. Thanks for responding.
  2. Hey guys, I was a bit gutted when I received the delivery on my new car last year to find out that TSR hasn't been programmed into the Australian issued vrs's even though id been sold the car as having the feature. I have all the hardware bits as i understand it but for some reason skoda australia doesn't allow the feature. They've said it's due to the different streets signs in Australia bit I call bull... given that vws have the feature. Obdeleven have brought a 1 touch app that turns this on. I'd happily buy the obdeleven just for this feature but was wondering if anyone in Ais has turned this feature on? Cheers!
  3. Xhaust sounds much better than stock. Not quite GTi but a step in the right direction. That's what I've heard too. Just not prepared to do that whilst I'm leasing the car and under warranty. Amazing that gti, ni30's all play by the same EPA rules but sound like they should. I have to admit, can't understand why we can't retrofit the golf gti exhaust with adapters.
  4. Yep, that's the one. Not OTT and sounding the way that it should have sounded from the factory. If I could replicate that, so would jump on it. Wish I could order that exhaust from shop! Shame that a policy aimed at race exhausts on the rds stops cars like ours from sounding the way they should.
  5. I hear that. My missus i30 has more of a growl and it's only an SR. Not keen to void warranty so only looking for a cat back too. Only one I've heard though that would tick the box was dutchvrs (I think) but that's a custom cat back. Ive tried finding the topic but cant locate it. He had a video posted. Was subtle but exactly what I was after. It's on the shopping list but in Aus, not 100% sure where to go
  6. So, an update. They think the ignition relay is faulty so swapped it out. They think that'll fix it but hadn't seen this error before. Fingers crossed. I was also due an update to fix the radar, park sensors and steering wheel issue. Wasn't actually having an issue there but have heard a few of us have been, hopefully fixes that for you all.
  7. Yep, off to dealer tomorrow morning to get them to have a look. Seems to be ok now but given it wouldn't even start yesterday, concerned ill be stranded 1 day. Have had a couple of wierd glitches sporadically that says parking sensors not working but that was the extent of the gremlins.
  8. Hi Pete, Does your car OTA update without notifying you? Not sure my car OTA updates in Australia. But had a wierd gremlin yesterday where I got all the same faults as above and the car wouldn't start. Does your car start when it does this?
  9. In Australia we dont have access to the myskoda app like in Europe. It's pretty much useless here sorry. Only has details of nearest skoda dealer.
  10. I went into the vehicle menu, interior and HUD. Then disabled the directions. I'd rather have the directions but them being reversed was kinda annoying.
  11. I should have said I has a my23 rs estate (not sure if that makes a difference).
  12. So.. went to the car to get info for a response for another topic and car won't start and error messages scrolling one after the other on the dash. Tried locking and unlocking...no effect. Went to grab my phone to see how to access the service menu and see if there was update. It said updating don't use the car and rebooted but then went into the engineering menu and wanted me to put the media usb in. I cancelled out of that and system rebooted. Now all works though. Has anyone had this? Car seems OK but am concerned I'm going to be stranded one day. Can skoda's in Auatralia OTA update software by themselves? Cheers, Steph
  13. I've ended up turning them off from the HUD via the internal menu. They were literally mirrored ie where straight through a round about, would display u turn. Or left when I should go right. Was more annoying than anything else. Just the sheer stupidity of it. I'll mention it to dealer when I take it on for a service but pretty sure they'll blame android auto...we'll see. It'll be in to the dealer in a couple of months
  14. Thanks for coming back to me. Kinda didn't want to run wires around both from a cleanliness point and a laziness point. Found dash cams that have a decent battery activated park mode so think that'll work. Just gotta put em in and test...
  15. Kinda sounds like a cold engine rattle? It's only coming from the left though?
  16. Hey guys, I'm wiring up a couple of dash cams but rather than focusing on them running when I'm driving, am more interested in them recording when the car is off. I've bought a powerbank cigarette lighter for the boot woth the idea being that when the car is on, it charges and runs the camera but when the car turns off, it switches to parking monitor mode. Unless I'm missing something, I think the cigarette lighter is always on, is that right? With the dash cam usb, has anyone tried making that usb port (only) an always on usb port? On an old car I'd do it myself but no chance am I confident doing that on this car. Just wondering if anyone's done this before I approach a professional. Cheers!
  17. Beauty thanks mate. I'm running the same version so there goes that theory. Not sure the dealer will know but due for a service in a couple of months, will ask..
  18. Yep, activated from factory on my vrs too. I was thinking about today and it's only since the coolwalk update on AA. Full screen on waze is awesome, no sure worth the price for lack of accurate arrows though. Out of interest bigeyelittleeye, do you know if you're running the new version of AA? 19. I use Android Auto on my mk4 octavia. It gives directions in the form of arrows displayed on the HUD but they've been getting more and more nonsensical. It used to be accurate except for round abouts where pretty much everything was a u turn. Since yesterday, everything is wrong - left hand turns instead of right, u turn at round about instead of left etc etc. Has anyone else seen this?
  20. I have the 2 litre vrs estate and combined petrol with 90% short hop driving in town with 10% freeway is about 9 litres to 100km's. Best I've gotten with it being the other way round is 7.8litres to the 100. I'll be spirited where I can but in traffic really can't where I live.
  21. Slightly off topic, does anyone have obdeleven and is in Melbourne? Would very happily pay to add Scandinavian drl to my car after having been rear ended.
  22. Personally I love it. Mrs especially finds normal (let alone sports) mode a bit too firm so when she jumps in, I'll soften the ride up. She hasnt mentioned the ride once. Sports mode is pretty firm but hugs the the road incredibly well. In comfort mode, the ride is way softer and more like a boat. I'd buy it again if I had the choice.
  23. Thanks mate. I'll buzz them. Wasn't sure where to start..
  24. Hey guys, after hearing Dutchvrs' exhaust, very keen to do the same to mine. Not really keen on remus both for $ and sound. To be honest, I'm after something a little more subtle sounding but with some pops under load. Has anyone got any recommendations for an exhaust shop in Melbourne to get a custom exhaust? Cheers
  25. I have a my23 rs and I have the engine cover. Have been checking sporadically to see if there's a recall but nothing to date
