  1. what is the effect of this light mod, I have never seen/heard of it before?
  2. I still maintain that if the car isn't a VRS that grommet doesn't exist! Then you do have to drill.
  3. The standard ones are ugly and poor quality, stick with the alpine or get a new one that blends better!
  4. I got 4x 16 alloys in the back, 3 on seats, one in rear left footwell.
  5. 1) Apparently though I never noticed 2) Again I suffered none over the extended period but I wouldn't recommend it as knowing the engine temp is vital 3) Sounds fair for a garage if it includes the housing.
  6. not hit a curb but was driving down a hill came to the bottom, stopped, then the car started sliding in the slush. Main road ahead, I was bricking myself!
  7. I had the same thing and my car was written off as there was a chance of gearbox damage, but exploratory surgery on my car was not an option apparently :(
  8. I had a problem with the door sensor, the gave off that same symptoms. A quick clean of the doors and latches fixed it.
  9. ohhh you naughty boy, teasing us like that!
  10. they do seem to be more on the unhelpful side of things.
  11. I can't count how many untold things have fallen foul of that. Fortunately most were small enough to go through, there is however one nut that for some reason refuses to become dislodged from its now final resting point.
  12. Never got it in the end, prized it open and fixed the mechanism with a zip tie. The problem was the teeth were slipping from where it had been forced shut (not by me).
  13. The Vrs has a grommet that other models don't necessarily (as I found). This can be resolved with a drill.
  14. I've had a lot of trouble with Black Circle tires. Changing dates post booking. It was very annoying and in the end I chose to spend the extra £30 to organise it with the garage direct.
  15. I got a universal one for the vents from CPW.
  16. don't floor it everywhere? Mine averages between 30-35 mpg depending on how I drive, and 40 if I decide to be anal about driving and 17/8 if I decide to be an idiot about driving.
  17. Maybe a psychiatrist? Will be interesting to hear how this affects everything.
  18. It would make overtaking very dangerous and unlikely
  19. I couldn't tell you about fault codes, if it was running hot obviously I would be straight down the garage to get it looked at. The temperature readout is often fine, then randomly drops.
  20. I've tried the good old search and couldn't find the answer to my question. Obviously I've got a problem with my temperature gage, I figure its the usual thermostat housing stuff. Anyway my question is that everything still seems to run fine, but am I damaging my car at all by not replacing this immediately. Obviously it will be replaced eventually, but with money as lacking as it is I don't want to do it unless absolutely required atm. Cheers Blam
  21. Aside from the occasionally inaccurate temperature read out, my MPi is fine, all its problems were last summer.
