  1. Any ideas any one?
  2. Quite possibly buy happy to pay that price for the car's performance in every other aspect.
  3. Having the 2.0 TSI Sportline I'm clearly not going to get anywhere near 60mph. Best ever was 50mpg as I was doing 56mph around the M25 in roadworks with a 60 mph limit. On long journeys A Roads / Motorways I usually get ~45 mpg and around town ~30 mpg. For a fairly large car with the extra weight of the 4x4 system I'm happy with that as it is such a nice car to drive.
  4. Nope. Seems to clip together either side of the vent. Need to get it out of its housing somehow.
  5. Anyone know how to repair / replace this? Found it in the rear seat well this morning. Presumably a rear seat passenger knocked it?

Orange is definitely a 'marmite' colour, like yellow. Agree with Choclab on '50 shades of grey' but grey and white are popular colours, hence lots available. Neither a colour I would willing choose mind you. The 'slate Grey / Business Grey' (I forget what it is actually called) would be the 'least worse' option if I had to pick one. The 'Metor Grey ' just looks like an undercoat and they forgot to add a proper colour before the colour left the factory.

If you like orange cars that is! 🤢 😀

Had Cross Climate on my Octavia (before the engine went), the Yeti and Cross Climate 2 on my Karoq. Great tyres as far as I am concerned.

There are quite a few posts on here in the various forums where owners have changed from Bridgestone tyres to cross climate tyres and have remarked the ride is better and quieter, so it would appear so.

The Bridgestone tyres do seem to be noisy tyres. quite a few on here mention changing to Cross Climate improves the ride and reduces road noise.

Sportline models also have the solid rear shelf.

I have Canton in my Karoq and its pretty good as far as I am concerned. However, you need to remember in Hi-Fi terms it is not an "expensive" uprade. It's an £800 upgrade so in Hi-Fi terms, it is a budget upgrade - it is not a £3500 proper upgrade. I have no idea if it has "ambient noise deadening" as there is not a lot of info about the Canton system in the manual. But I am more than happy with it on my journeys up and down the A303. I have not 'run out of volume' with it as I did on my Octavia and Yeti. It took me a little while to find the right settings that suited my personal tastes the only fault I have with it is it plays sound files as single tracks on albums so you have gaps in live albums and song that seque into one another.

My Karoq Sportline 4x4 Cross Climate 2 tyres is the best ride I have ha din any car. By the "expensive audio upgrade" do you mean the Canton Speakers?
  14. Pretty sure Adaptive Cruise Control has always been an optional extra.
  15. I have a 2.0 Sportline 4x4 with Cross Climate 2 tyres. Superb ride. Elderly mother finds it very easy to get in and out off and loves how quiet the ride is.
  16. Owned a Octavia L&K DSG Hatchback lovely car with huge boot but was cursed by the dreaded 1.8 engine. When that blew up it was the: Yeti 1.2 Elegance Outdoor DSG nowhere near as nice as the Octavia to drive and the boot obvioulsy was a lot smaller. Economy was brilliant though. Now have: Karoq 2.0 TSI 4x4 Sport. Best car I have ever driven. Amazing response. Grips the road like glue. Decent sized boot has lots of great new tech addition over the Yeti, e.g. auto hold, electric boot, reversing camera, canton speakers, virtual / ditigal dash. Higher driving position gives a great view of the road. DSG gearbox is very smooth. Very comfortable seats, and very smooth, quiet ride. Would highly recommend the car. MPG 30 around town MPG 40-44 on long motorway / A road drives. Obviously going for the 1.5 will give you better MPG.

Sadly, Callum the Stage is no more. He was put to sleep last week following concerns over his failing health. Visitors has been feeding him the wrong foods which caused him to loose his teeth, left him unable to forage and he was suffering from abdominal distention. Callum was about 20 years old which is quite an age for a deer but his health problems were too numerous to over come.
  18. The majority of my sound files are FLAC and do not work on my phone, hence using by Digital Media Player. I cannot connect wirelessly in my Karoq and only have one USB port, so your suggestion won't work I'm afraid.
  19. Has anyone replaced the standard Bolero / Columbus / Amundsen on their Karoq? I am more than happy with the sound quality it is just the fact the sound files play as single tracks not albums so you always get a couple of second gap between songs which is HUGELY annoying to me, especially listening to live albums and albums where song segue into one another like Dark Side of the Moon, Sgt Peppers, South of Heaven, Misplaced Childhood, etc. This never happened on my Octavia or Yeti and it is frustrating the newest car of the lot does this. The only way I have found around this is use my digital media player via the USB. However, since the internal Sat Nav no longer receives traffic updates I use Waze via my mobile phone which has to use the USB port. I tried using a spliter but it won't run both at the same time and it is for the longer journeys I prefer to listen to full albums which is when I need a Sat Nav. I have asked about half a dozen companies who claim on their website to be able to upgrade any car and link it to their systems, e.g. rear camera, climate control, etc and all have come back with "we have no head unit that fits a Karoq, we can upgrade your speakers though". Anyone upgraded / replaced their head unit?
  20. Don't forget tyre choice makes a huge difference too. Michelin Cross Climate 2 improves the ride and comfort no end.
  21. I don't think so. It seems to be the thing these days to have album art displayed.
  22. From various reviews the DCC seems to be a 'nice to have'. Comfort setting gives more of a 'floaty' ride, as CJJE said above, great on well surfaced motorways but a bit too 'wallowly' on anything else. Normal mode, is well normal and Sport tightens up the steering and stiffens the suspension a bit if you want to power through the corners on winding B-Roads. Most seem to leave the DCC in normal 95% of the time. Also mentioned was if you have 4x4 with the chain link(?) suspension makes having the DCC a bit point pointless. Don't have it myself more than happy with the handling of my 4x4 Karoq.
  23. Probably better off posting this in the Superb Forum.
  24. At the risk of hijacking this thread.... Is anyone getting the road traffic updates any more? I haven't for about a year. I am aware the provider change who use to use Classic FM's signal to 'piggy back' on. Is the only option pay Skoda for Skoda Connect or swap to Waze / Google Maps via your phone?
  25. Same here. Used Bosch Aerotwin on all three of my Skoda (Octavia, Yeti and Karoq). Have not found better wipers blades - yet!
